Their customer service was good. The final product was exactly what I expected. It took a little bit longer than I had hoped. I would use them again in the future.

I think his prices are okay. The quality is excellent and the chairs are comfortable. I had no problems whatsoever with the work. If I was going to have something else re-upholstered I would probably look somewhere else because of the price. It did longer than it was supposed to.

The beautiful wing chair that I shopped so carefully for 20 years ago was in sad repair. It's a well made chair and I didn't want to get rid of it- I loved it! The only solution was reupholstering. I chose Gene Sanes to do the job and am so pleased I did. I stopped in the storefront during a trip to The Strip and spoke with Anne Farren to get an idea of cost and look at fabrics. After looking through many samples I set my heart on a beautiful soft cozy looking plush in a neutral color. Anne checked with the manufacturer and sadly it was discontinued. I decided to put on my detective cap and search the internet to see if I could obtain some, and Anne assured me it was fine if I provided my own fabric. I did manage to locate a firm out of state that carried the discontinued material and had it shipped to me. I took it down to the storefront and placed a deposit on my soon to be redone chair. I decided to let them pick the chair up and delivery it afterwards, an additional charge, just because it was easier and more convenient for me. I also chose to have them treat the material with stain protector, which is additional, and a smart investment . The chair was picked up around Thanksgiving and was promised to be done before Christmas. At the beginning of December I received a call from Anne that there had been a loss of some employees there and my chair wouldn't be done before Christmas. She was very apologetic and offered me a 10% discount for my inconvenience. I thought that was very good customer service indeed- we had a sofa to sit on so it was not a huge inconvenience to wait a few more weeks. And I wanted them to take their time and do the job well. The chair was delivered today, January 3rd and it was well worth the wait! They did a beautiful job- it's absolutely gorgeous! I called Anne to tell her there was one big problem though....it now made my sofa look sad indeedl! LOL! I'm sure I will be using Gene Sanes again in the future as they can make pillows, draperies, cushions and can even make bespoke furniture. They can also redo cushions on furniture that doesn't need reupholstering. And they do what they do extremely well at a good price. If I had to buy a chair like this I'd have to go to a high end store and most likely pay more than double what it cost me for the reupholstering. I still have my favorite chair and it looks brand new thanks to Gene Sanes!
