They shut everything down and cleaned it all up. It didn't take all that long because it wasn't one of those deep viruses. It was just talking as it goes by. I got pretty lucky there. I still had a few glitches afterwards. But, eventually, they went away. They were there when I needed them. All in all it worked out. We got our computer from them a few years back and it stayed with me. It has gotten its contrary moves. But, it stayed with me. I've been happy with it. What stood out about Best Buy was the long lines.

We were wary of purchasing a new dishwasher with delivery and installation through Best Buy as there were several bad reviews posted online, but we had to do a quick replacement due to our old washer leaking all over our kitchen floor and at the time Best Buy had good sales as well as delivery/installation specials. We went to the store directly in hopes of being able to see the dishwasher we were interested in and getting sales help for the whole process. When we arrived, there were very few models to choose from at the store and we weren't sure what do to. Quickly the appliance manager began assisting us. He gathered our needs and preferences as well as our budget limits and made suggestions in order for us to narrow the field. Once we decided upon a model, he walked us through the sale as well as scheduling delivery and installation. Then we waited nervously... The day before our scheduled installation, the delivery/installation person contacted us to arrange a time window. The window he had was not specifically going to work for us but he was able to come a bit later with no problem at all. Two gentlemen arrived at our home and with little difficulty were able to remove our old dishwasher and install the new one. It appears to be working with no difficulty and we have run it once ourselves since yesterday. Not sure why our experience was so different from some others listed online - possibly because we purchased/scheduled it directly through the store?

They asked the right questions. They informed me I would need to purchase additional cables. Sirus claimed I should be able to install the radio myself, however, the geek squad informed me in order for the job to be professional I would need two addtional cables that sirus had not sent. The result was a installed sirus radio, no wires showing anywhere. The directions from sirus tells the customer to install the antenna on the outside of the vehicle. I was concerned that It would be damaged when getting my car washed, etc. The geek squad told me their plan was to install the antenna inside the car in a place that would ensure good reception. The inside installation of the antenna would eliminate damage to the antenna from car washes, bad weather, etc. I was told the installation would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours but the work was done in 80 minutes. Also I can get trouble shooting done on the work from any Best Buy for no charge as long as I have the vehicle. Great deal!

Lousy. Unfortunately, I had to work the day of the installation. My dad and husband went down. First, they were told that there was no appointment scheduled for them. However, they were quick to pull the car in so they could begin work. Before they began, my dad asked some questions. He verified range of the remote. I was told 1,500 feet. He was told 800 feet. In order to have the 1,500 range, he was going to have to buy a more expensive model. More work was then going to be required. All in all, almost $200 more than what I was told. Needless to say, they did not have the work done. Will never attempt to use any service like this from Best Buy again.

I used them last week and it was under warranty. I'm not up on all this technology. They hooked up my printer to my pc. They could not find parts for the printer and we told them we did not take out any parts. They ended up giving us another printer. They ended up finding it on a second box. They said they shouldn't have as the printer was out of guarantee time.

I like that they let me know when they will be here. They are pretty thorough in explaining things to me, if I have questions on what they are doing. I have used them before and I would use them again.

They have changed their services a lot. I have had mixed results with their services. At one time they tried to do the diagnosing over the phone or online. I got mad one time because they were trying to fix it over the phone. I was on the phone with them for eight hours. After about the sixth hour, I got disconnected and had to call back. I got someone different and we had to start all over again. The person who I was talking to was writing it all up and the second person had access to that but they didn’t know exactly what the first person was running when I got disconnected. The next time I called, I told them I would not do it on the telephone. They don’t do that anymore – they just send someone out. They aren’t cheap. They are cheaper if you can carry your computer in but I have a tower computer and I have a bad back and bad knees. I probably would use them again. There aren't that many computer places around and you get trapped into using the service that's in your area.

They were helpful and knowledgeable. I pretty much knew what I wanted and they helped me to get exactly that. They delivered it on time and set everything up for me.

They were prompt, but a little expensive. I will use their services in future.

They rejected my claim based on my warrantee not covering it.

The people from Best Buy/Geek Squad Company did the work as excepted. I can’t say much about the work done on my son’s computer. However the set up of the television was done as they had said they would. There was a bit of a complication because Best Buy had implied that they were doing more by doing the installation than the actual contract specified. However, the television came in and it’s working fine ever since.

They were very good, but they charge for any little extra thing.

We used Best Buy's Geek Squad because of their ability to market themselves. We called them, they told us to bring it in, and we had it back in two days. The motherboard had to be replaced and since the repair cost was much less than replacing the pc, we went ahead and had the repair done.

The salesman was helpful and patient and helped us to make an informed decision quickly and we bought it that night.

The guy was pretty funny, showing up in his 'agent' outfit but was very professional. He explained pretty well about what I needed to know, but it was a fast review. I had to make one call for service after and never got a call back. I finally figured out the problem for myself.

I purchased an HP laptop from Best Buy in August, 2005 for my daughter who was going to college in Boston. Total cost was $1700 which included the 2 year "Performance Service Plan" (it doesn't cover anything by the way, as I found out). The laptop lasted exactly 98 days before it completely shut off. Hours of telephone calls to HP & Best Buy in India & Boston could not repair this defective computer. It broke down at the beginning of final exams, but neither Best Buy nor HP would replace this laptop, instead they insisted the only way they could help would be to mail it back. It's now been 3 weeks & this laptop is not back. The HP & Best Buy people who answer the phone are rude & totally committed to a written script that they repeat over & over. The tech people are incompetent & have no idea what to do with laptops. NEVER buy any product or warranty from Best Buy. NEVER buy HP products!

KEPT MY APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE DONE IN 1 HOUR. IT WAS DONE THEN. VERY NICE SERVICEMAN.

THE SALESMAN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS. HE FOUND THE CORRECT BOX, BUT HE DIDN'T DRIVE THE VERY LARGE BOX ON A VERY LARGE CART TO THE REGISTER. I HAD TO MANEUVER THE CART MYSELF.

THE SALESMAN WAS COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF ALL ASPECTS OF MY NEEDS, AND WASN'T OVER PRESUMPTUOUS IN WHAT I NEEDED OR WHAT HE PERCEIVED I NEEDED. THE STORE WAS CLEAN AND BRIGHT AND A PLEASURE TO SHOP IN.

TECHNICIANS WERE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY GAVE SEVERAL OPTIONS AND LET US CHOOSE WHAT WE WANTED TO DO.

SALES PEOPLE WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH A GOOD ATTITUDE. THEY SHOWED US DIFFERENT MODELS AND WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT ALL THE PRODUCTS. IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW SOMETHING THEN THEY ASKED ANOTHER SALES ASSOCIATE

I PRETTY MUCH KNEW WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, BUT THE SALES REP HELPED. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS AND HELPED ME PICK A NICE PACKAGE.
