 + -1 moreBob looked over the job, sent estimates for three options in a couple days. I sent back our choice with a deposit. Two weeks later the guys came out and installed patio cover/awning in about 3 1/2 hours. Looks great!

 + -1 moreBob from G&S reviewed what we were looking for as far as setup and design of awning and even came out to our house in advance to double check everything. We were told it would take 3-4 weeks to be built and a 1/2 day to install.. It took about 3 weeks and was installed in about 4 1/2 hours.. Bob's crew did excellent work and made sure they cleaned up when they left and that we were were satisfied . We never felt hurried or rushed in any decision. We will certainly recommend G&S to anyone.

 + -1 moreEveryone was pleasant and helpful. It was measured and I received estimate in mail. I signed it and sent it back with required deposit. A few weeks later the awning was placed and looks nice. It rained and our dogs laid on the deck and my husband read the newspaper. It has added an outdoor room to our home. the fellows were pleasant and quick.

Description of Work: Installed new awnings I've used G&S twice this year. In the spring I wanted to put a new awning over my back porch and patio. Contacted them and Bob came out, listened to what I wanted, made a couple suggestions, took his measurements and mailed me a quote. I had another company come out, the guy measured, wrote up a quote and wanted me to commit then and there to the job. I told him I wanted to wait until I got my other quotes. When Bob's quote arrived he was a little higher but I liked his professionalism and gave G&S the job and sent in the deposit. They scheduled the work when it was convenient to me, came out, put up the awning and everything looked fine. Later in the summer when I had to replace the front awning due to my homeowners insurance adjuster including it in a claim for storm damage to my roof I contacted G&S again, Bob came out, checked the measurements and game me a quote. His quote was a little more than the insurance company allowance but I decided to stick with G&S and gave them the job. Once again they handled everything well, giving me a weeks notice on the scheduling of the work, the installation looks fine and I'm happy with the job.

 + -1 moreI called them Aug. 27, the estimator came the next day to measure for the awning. Their proposal came in the mail 2 days later. I signed it and mailed it back, and am waiting for them to make and install the awning. They seemed like nice people, I'm pleased with this transaction so far.

 + -1 moreI needed to have the over-sized awning over my back porch replaced after the recent hail storm damage in my area. Bob Shuster came out and gave me an estimate, which I submitted to my insurance company. They approved the estimate, I picked my colors and about 6 wks later I had a beautiful new awning - can't wait for Spring! They arrived right on time and were very polite and professional. They had the old awning down and the new one up in no time - I never even saw them take a lunch break. They cleaned everything up when they were finished and I didn't see one piece of debris when they left. They also moved a large item for me that they really didn't have to move. They were both very nice gentlemen. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

 + -1 moreThe entire experience with G&S was professional. The date was set for the estimate and Bob was very honest about how it would it be built, installed and any issues that might come up. He did not try to sell me any "add-ons" or anything other than what I discussed with him on the phone. They do not outsource, the work is done completely by G&S. All the appointments and follow up conversations were timely and professional. The installers arrived on time, were friendly and unbelievably efficient. They cleaned up completely, and were gone within hours. I would rate this experience at Super "A"
Description of Work: I had a awning built over my front porch. This is an flat "roof" type awning. It looks wonderful, has it's own gutter and downspout. It has more than served the purpose of covering my porch, it has given a fresh look to my house.

 + -1 moreDue to a bad storm that occurred in September 2010, a neighbor's tree branch fell and damaged a metal awning attached to the rear of the house. After dealing with the insurance company and getting estimates, we decided on G&S Metal, and signed the proposal on October 1, 2010. The proposal did state a 14-16 week wait for installation. G&S Metal did call in March 2011 for installation, but due to conflict of schedule, they did not install until April 8, 2011. Received a call at 8:00 that morning and a two man crew arrived about 8:45 am and were done approximately 11:00 am. They did a great job, installing the new awning, removing the old damaged awning and cleaning up the area, before it started to rain.
Description of Work: To replace a storm damaged awning in the rear of house.
