All promised jobs were done to my satisfaction. It took a little longer to complete due to weather conditions that couldn't be helped. The condition in my garage is 100% improved.

I interacted primarily with Harry on the business end and Tony on-site. The initial quote was for a four day job, Tony completed it in a day and a half then discovered the serious damage being caused by the neighbors run-off. We had to ammend the quote to add the additional exterior repairs. Harry offered a reasonable price to add on to the existing job. Again, Tony completed a 3 day job in a day in a half, in the rain. I was extremely pleased with the speed and quality of service. This is a locally owned small business and it shows. I would recommend them to anyone with serious drainage issues.

I initially noticed some increased water draining in the basement and made multiple phone calls to companies to evaluate the problem. Harry was very responsive and came to evaluate the next day. I was impressed how quick he was able to come and evaluate the problem. I agreed to have G&J do the work over the next couple of weeks. The crew arrived on the day that they said they would and completed the project on time. Harry did a final inspection and made sure things were satisfactory prior to closing out the job.

I belive this project went exceedingly well. Initially, we met representatives of G & J at the Pittsburgh Home Show. We made an appointment to have our project assessed by one of their consultants. The consultant, Harry, met with us propmtly on the correct date at the correct time. We had a frank discussion of our objectives and after reviwing the condition of our deck, garage and basement, Harry generated a specific proposal listing each step and costs and timeline associated with each. After doing our due diligence we retained G & J and scheduled the project to begin a few weeks later convenient to our work schedules. A few weeks later the work commenced on time. With only a few brief weather related delays the project was completed on time and within budget. Throughout the project G & J worked with us to accommodate our hectic schedules and that was greatly appreciated. The craftsmen and craftswomen from G & J were pleasant and extremely capable at their respective trades. Patricia and I are pleased with the results and it's nice to know we have a reliable contact for future projects as well as a company we can recommend to our friends, should they find themselves in need of the types of services G &J waterproofing provides. I plan to load some photos of this project in the coming days so that readers may more fully appreciate the scale of what was accomplished.

We purchased an Angie's list coupon for basement inspection and credit towards waterproofing. On inspection we were essentially told that the basement was not waterproof and that an inspection report would follow. Instead we received a quote for installation of a French drain system without the report or even the rationale for this method of waterproofing. Although the quote looks fair, the lack of documentation was concerning since the request was for the inspection. We will likely go elsewhere when ready to finish our basement.

I first spoke to them at the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show. There was no pressure to sign a call back sheet as many other vendors but I truly liked the ladies as we talked and thought they were honest people. I was contacted within days of the last day of the show. Usually, by this point, I have a chance to think about things and back down from all of the contractors I spoke to at the show. But again, their call person, Katie, who is quite personable and professional, gave me the confidence to go ahead and set up an appointment. I was not available until March 22 when Harry came to look at my 100 year-old basement and give me an estimate. Now again, I NEVER sign a contractor on the spot, until this moment. Without references or other estimates, I signed. He was knowledgeable and confident in what they could do, the price seemed reasonable, and he was overall just a really nice guy. Knowing how much stuff I had accumulated in my basement over the years, he agreed to help me clean everything up in order for the work to begin 4 days before Easter. He said the job would take 2-3 days and, true to his word, they were done right on schedule. All the debris was cleaned up, not only from their work but also all of my own garbage, and taken away. The contractors were all very professional, never complained once about the condition of my basement and were willing to answer any questions I had. Katie and Harry both were in constant contact to keep me up-to-date as to what was happening each day. We have had several days of rain here in Pittsburgh and prior to their work, I would have had 2-4 inches of water in the basement. IT IS BONE DRY!!! I couldn't be happier with the job, the crew (wish I remember their names because they were great at what they did and so courteous and professional), Harry and Katie. The job is complete and I have a warranty that I know they will stand by. I am confident that if I ever had any questions, I will be able to contact them and they will be glad to assist. Finally, I can honestly say that I had a wonderful experience with hired contractors who do QUALITY work and go above and beyond to ensure CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!!!

The guys were hard workers, they were prompt and worked quickly...they would have been done in two days but were delayed due to bad roads so job was done in three days.

I had been concerned for years about some black mold on one section of the basement. Also, the floor in the garage would become damp along the sides when it rained. Over the years, the dampness had been getting worse, and the damp area was becoming more extensive. Through Angie's List I contacted G & J Basement Waterproofing. Promptly, Harry, the Project Manager, came out and gave me a detailed explanation of both the mold and water problem. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done. showed me where the problem areas were located, and walked me through what the workmen would do to remedy the situation. He seemed extremely knowledgeable about the problems and how to remedy them. The following week his crew began the work and completed it within three days, as was initially stated to me. The painting makes a tremendous difference, too. Everyone I spoke with throughout the entire process was friendly and hard-working.

We are in the middle of selling our home and are closing on it next month. During the summer we found moisture on the walls. My wife and I believed it was due to humidity and thought nothing of it. Once the walls dried we painted them. Two days before Christmas I went into my garage and found a lot of water on the floor and on the walls. We had an appointment with an appraiser on Tuesday 12/29/2015. I contacted G&J Waterproofing and explained my situation and that I wanted to get this done as soon as possible. They came to my home that day and gave me an estimate for the work. They also explained that they would do the job on Monday 12/28/2015 at 8:30 in the morning and would be finished that day. The crew arrived on time and began working right away. The two men were very, very polite and even took time throughout the day to explain what they were doing, and how the French drain and sump pump would work. Now remember this is Christmas vacation for my two children and they were home during this time. The crew were unaware of this but you never heard any foul language while they were working. They completed the job on time and again explained the system and how it works. The crew was even going to work through lunch but I told them to go and eat! Once they left the job, G&J Waterproofing called and asked if everything was satisfactory and asked if my experience was good. I have to say that it was excellent. TRUE PROFESSIONALS!!

The crew showed up on a Tuesday to install an interior french drain system in my finished basement. Due to the drywall being up they had to cut the drywall and the studs in order to access the footer to install the french drain. They installed the entire drainage system in 2 days and came back on the third day to cement it in. They also agreed to come back to replace the wood studs that they had to cut in order to install the drain. They were very professional and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone.

We got 3 bids. We chose G&J because of the fact they were not aggressive or over the top with sales gimmicks. They came out on a Sunday morning which impressed both me and my husband and told us what they would do and how much no price dropping just one price. We gave them the job and not only did they start the job when they said they also went above and beyond to keep it clean and resplect our home. When we hired them we had water coming in and cracks all over now the cracks are sealed and the basement is dry this was a great experience and although they dont advertise alot I would say word of mouth will keep them busy as I will recommend them to anyone

They started work and never finished. There was a contractor there working for MYT and sat for two days waiting for supplies from MYT. The contractors finished what they were supposed to do but MYT didn't finish their part. I am getting more water in to the basement than was their before. They talked me in to a sump pump system that was supposed to solve the problem but it is now worse. They never sealed the walls which was in the contract. He cashed our check for a second contract that was canceled knowing full well that the contract was canceled. I haven't been able to get in touch with them since. I was able to contact the subcontractor and he hasn't been paid by MYT in three weeks. MYT told the subcontractor that they were waiting on money from me to pay him. I had already paid in full.

After signing up for a free estimate on line I had them come out and look at my basement. We have had water coming in since last year but this summer it got worst and we decided to have a few companies out. After meeting with the rep not only was their price less then the othe estimates but they agreed o start our job right away, the work was done in 2 days and my basement has been dry since . They were very professional and honest so going forward I will tell anybody that needs their basement done to use them. Also as a bonus I received free mold treatment which I was happy about since I have read about how bad it is for your health.
