Description of Work: Spoke with him about some remodeling work in our home

Description of Work: Felix did many, many improvements (planned) and repairs (unplanned, but necessary) for us on a new-for-us house that was showing its 50-year age: 1) Replaced an old, leaking shower stall in our master bathroom with a beautiful, unleaking shower stall. 2) Converted a basement "Pittsburgh commode" to a nice half bath with new walls, door, sink, lighting, medicine cabinet, towel bars, etc. 3) Repaired several leaking plumbing joints in the basement. 4) Installed new cabinets, new gas range, and vent hood in the kitchen, and installed a new dishwasher in a non-standard-sized space. 5) Created a shower stall surrounding an existing tub in our guest bathroom, with new fixtures, towel bars, etc. 6) Installed a new dining room chandelier and six other new ceiling light fixtures in hallways, kitchen, and office. 7) Installed four 8-foot wide, 8-foot tall wall-mounted bookcases in our family room/library. 8) Repaired/replaced a few improperly installed GFCI outlets in bathrooms and kitchen. 9) Installed new faucet and garbage disposal in kitchen sink. 10) Disconnected and later reconnected the boiler in our basement, to enable plumbers to dig up and replace a failing sewer line; bled air out of radiators after reconnecting boiler. 11) Added new handrails next to outside stairs at front door, back door, basement door. Also added a new step and handrail in the hallway from the "main" house to the family room/library addition. I am certain that I am forgetting several other things that Felix did for us between July and October of 2013.

Description of Work: He did two different tasks. He repaired a kitchen cabinet that the mechanism for the drawer was not working properly and he fixed it. He made it work fine. He also repaired and replaced some rotted, wooden windowsills, on the outside of my house.

Description of Work: Felix is a former engineer who has started his own business working to restore and renovate homes both as a handyman, as well as home construction designer and worker. He is so talented and alert to any change that needs to take place and makes informed suggestions to help with the completion of any job. He installed new lighting in my home, new toilets, updated some of my plumbing fixtures, and helped with consulting about future electrical projects.
