Member Comments: I had 18 window panes in our house replaced because of seal failure on the original window panes over the course of time from March 2001 through October 2005. Initial contact and service was OK, but every pane of glass, for which we paid from $75.00 to $80.00 FAILED WITHIN 3 YEARS. The warranty from Expert Glass for these panes was 15 YEARS Warranty - for the first 5 years Expert Glass was to replace the panes free of charge and then give a pro-rated charge of 50% for years 6 through 15. I still have all the paperwork including the bill receipts and the (worthless) printed warranty paper I got for every bill. This is what I got from Jack and company on the warranties: 4 replacements free of charge. After more and more failures and MULITPLE calls to Jack he no longer would answer or return them. I was pretty persistent in calling him over and over, but the guy wore me out and I just gave up. We lived the fogged windows for the last 10 years. Now, in 2014 I've finally got money to have all the old windows replaced entirely with new vinyl ones. Here's the big kicker - The company that's installing the replacement windows CURRENTLY, 10 YEARS LATER, charges only $60.00 to replace the same glass panes only if I wanted to do that. I GOT RIPPED OFF BY JACK - LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE! Most of the window replacement companies offer just glass pane replacement and apparently they do so at a much lower price and Expert Glass. I don't know what Jack is charging today, but as you see I paid more for each pane 10 years ago than I would pay someone else today. Calculated for inflation, $75.00 in 2005 money = $91.53 (at www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm) I wonder if that's near what Jack is charging today?

Jack came promptly to measure and give a price. Had to wait for the weather to turn for the installation, but when it finally happened, the windows were installed quickly and professionally, and clean-up included takeaway and cleaning the new glass and caulking as needed. I was impressed enough with my job that I got Expert Glass for my mom. The price is reasonable--less expensive than getting entirely new windows.

Very good work! Showed up on time ready to complete project! Clean service fast and friendly! Windows look great! I would use them again!

Read reviews on Angie's list was not too impressed.However after checking around I found that two of my neighbors had used them in the past,I own a condo.The work looked great and my neighbors very very happy with their choice of providers.I called made an appt. For measurements,Jack was extremely nice and professional.He came to measure in two days,explained everything and made out the order form.When he called to informed me that my glass was in I was surprised that they would do the install almost immediately.The very next day.When the installers arrived they were pleasent,knowledgeable,curious and very clean.They cleaned all the track and also all the new glass inside and out.I am very pleased I used them.Not too mention the is a 15year warrenty on the glass against fogging or material defects that may occure such as the seals breaking.I have informed the property manager so they could recommend them to other unit owners.FIVE STAR COMPANY.

The crew had a difficult time removing the old glass. I don't deny that it looked like a hard job but that is why I hired someone to do it. Every panel was broken upon removal. That really isn't so bad but the plastic moldings surrounding the glass panels were all damaged and caulked with massive amounts of silicone in order to pass muster. It does not look professionally done and it definitely doesn't look like and quot;expertsand quot; did the install. The crew came unprepared. Asked to use my shop vac to clean up and wanted to know if I had an extra #3 phillips for their power screwdriver. Again, not really a big deal but hardly seems professional. Finally they did not put down drop cloths in the family room in which they were working and somehow stained the carpeting in two different locations with a dark blue substance!?!? I have no idea what it is!?!? Looks like ink. We have made several phone calls to remedy the situation and have been largely ignored. If you want windows installed you'd be better off walking home through a cow pasture leave your boots on and proceed to smash them out with a hammer and just install plywood. Same difference. If the problems are eventually addressed I will update my review give the proper credit. Until then I DO NOT recommend the services of Expert Glass and Window SVC.

The owner came soon after I contacted the company to provide an estimate to replace one dual pane glass unit in a patio door size 32 3/4 inch X 73 1/2 inch and one 16 1/4 inch X 31 1/2 inch glass unit in a double hung window. The estimate was for $383.00. He said it would take 2-3 weeks for the items to be made and they would call when they arrived. The items were installed on May 23rd, about 3 weeks later. When the installer came, he removed both the door and the window and took them outside to his truck to install the glass, which meant there was absolutely no mess in the house to clean up. When he was finished he brought them each into the house a placed them back into their proper slots. It only took about a half hour to 45 minutes to complete. Because I paid using a credit card, there was an additional 3% charge and the final total was $395.00. I was very happy with the service and did not mind paying the additional fee--it was worth it!

When I initially called them they gave a rough estimate of the cost of replacing a double pane glass that is fogged up ($90.00). After a couple of days, they came out and did a measurement , and gave a written estimate. I needed three windows. They were in after a couple of weeks. Installation was quick and clean. What they do is remove the frame around the fogged glass, insert the new glass in the same frame and reinstall it. The estimate was right on. A broken lock on one window was replaced for no cost. Nice alternative instead of replacing the whole window. There was no hard sell for additional services.
