Dun Rite responded to my request for an estimate immediately. Dino, the owner, gave me a reasonable estimate, which I accepted, and his installer followed up the next day to to confirm the measurements. The job was completed about two weeks later--in less than one day for the glass block and in less than one half hour for the single pane. They were very organized and cleaned up carefully. The windows are neatly done and look great!

Deno came in first to give an estimate, we wanted to replace two windows first and if we like the work and the windows then we will replace the other windows, all other companies we talked to require a minimum number of windows to be replaced around 4 or 5 Dino has no problem installing one or more. They came on time to remove the old windows and install the new one, the installation was very professional and they clean up after finishing. We contacted Deno to order and install the rest of the windows.

I called Thursday evening and left a message to haveone glass block removed and a dryer vent installed. I received a call the next morning and installer Phil came Sunday to perform the service. He and his associate were fast, but did excellent work. They cleaned up after and put down drop clothes while they were working. I would do business with them again.

After perusing numerous reports on Angie's List, we called Dun-Rite to obtain an estimate on a new entry door and a storm door. In all honesty we were just kicking around the idea of a new door since our youngest decided that the original front door looked like an outhouse door (?!?) Dun-Rite was very nice during the initial phone call and promised to have Dino return the call - which he did very quickly. He suggested we look at the door manufacturer's website to get ideas of what we might like before he would come to the house. We arranged for an estimate date and time and Dino showed up precisely on time. He looked over what we had chosen from the website and put together an estimate on the spot. He sent a fax with a rendering of what the doors would look like together and suggested an alternative which looked far better and was actually less expensive than what we had picked. At no time was there any pressure at all - which was deeply appreciated!!! After we agreed to accept the estimate, he had another young man come over to measure again to make sure everything matched his measurements. It seemed our door arrived from the manufacturer in no time at all and Tom called to schedule the installation. They showed up exactly on time and wasted no time getting the project underway. They were friendly, professional and pleasant (and funny!) They worked diligently and cleaned up spectacularly. They showed us all of the special features of the doors, demonstrated how to change the glass to the screen on the storm door and provided the warranty information and a little vial of touch-up paint. It was a great experience and the finished project is exquisite. We've already had numerous compliments from neighbors after only two days since the installation. We are just thrilled with the whole experience. Now if we could just get the rest of the house to look as good...
Description of Work: We had a new front entry door and storm door installed, complete with new framing replacing a nearly 60 year old original-to-the house door and a woefully inadequate storm door.

The owner (Dino) contacted me and was eager to come look at the windows to give me an estimate as soon as he could. I wasn't available that day, but he was willing to look at the windows from the outside to give me an estimate. This was a misconception on my part, but Dino does not schedule the job ahead of time, but rather will contact you when he or his subs are available to perform the work. I did not wait more than a few weeks so it was a non-issue, just something to be aware of when contracting with him. His sub-contractor called me a few days before with a time window of when he'd show up, and was prompt on the scheduled day. He did an excellent job on the four windows and cleaned up the area when he was finished. I would definitely contract with Dun Rite again if I had any more glass block installations, and wouldn't hesitate to contact them for other types of windows either.
Description of Work: The job Dun-Rite completed was to replace four older windows that were approximately 30" X 30" with solid glass block. I had contacted Dun Rite for a ballpark estimate via Email after receiving two other estimates.

We had a very good experience. Dino was prompt and professional in all our dealings. He came to our house and discussed replacing the windows He offered good suggestions on what window types would be appropriate. He measured the windows and finally showed us a sample window that we would get. He answered all our questions in a very clear way. The window replacers John and John came to our house on time and replaced the windows in the house over a three day period. They cleaned up after each work day. The glass block guys replaced the cellar windows in one day at the same time John and John were working in the house. The two enlarged windows were framed and replaced on separate day from all the other windows.
Description of Work: Dun Rite replaced 18 regular windows ( 2 were enlarged and framed) in the house and 4 glass block windows in the cellar.

I was very pleased with the products and services performed start to finish. I choose this company because of their positive reviews. I was not disappointed. The crews were professional and courteous. They asked for my input if there was an issue. They cleaned up their mess. My home is older (1930's) and the front entry way was out of square which required a bit of modification. I am writing this review in January and the work has really made a difference in comfort of the house, for which I hoped would happen.
Description of Work: Dino and company installed three glass block window and six vinyl replacement windows for me in August. I was pleased with the work and had him come back in November to have his sub-contractors install a new entry way (basic steel door with side lights and transom and a storm door with nothing fancy in the way of glass or design). The windows were Vinylmax and the entry way was a Provia.

See above. Well worth the money spent.
Description of Work: Dino was outstanding professionally and every other way. I delayed reporting only to say I believe after 2 years with these windows(through out my house) have done the job for winter heating and summer using the AC. Highly recommend their windows. Also they had to install a specialized door (it is a beautiful door). Then had a problem with one window Dino came over and took care of it immediately.

We had a few companies provide estimates for new doors. We chose Dino (DunRite) becaue of how comfortable we felt with him and the pricing was 4000.00 less than one of the area's big companies for the same exact products. The service was great and from the moment Dino's crew Tom, Russ and Zach arrived, on time, to install the doors things went superbly. They acted as a team and it was very apparent that they knew what to do and how to make certain everything was done to perfection. The quality of the doors and workmanship is great and our home looks great. We can even feel the difference in the temperature already. We were affraid that we would have to repair walls or paint after the doors were installed, but the way the crew did their work, we had no extra things that needed. The entire DunRite team was was professional, couteous and clearly knowledgeable. They were also very pleasant and made sure the work areas were clean and put back together before they left, which was ahead of the planned schedule. We would have no hesitation in recommending DunRite. They provide quality service and products at reasonable pricing!!!

From start to finish, Dino was great. We had several companies come to our house to give us an estimate and tell us of their services. Dino came in with the lowest estimate. We were a bit reluctant because he was considerably lower (almost $1500) but with all of the positive reports on Angie's List we decided to give him the business. About 3 weeks after we signed a contract with Dino, we received a call that the windows were ready for installation. Dino's crew, John and "Big John", arrived as scheduled at 9:00 ready to go. They completed the day installing the first 8 windows. They were very neat. They cleaned the area around the windows before they left. The second day was a bit of a challenge. Our neighborhood is going through a power line upgrade and we had no electricity all day. I called DIno first thing in the morning. He said that it should not be a problem. His crew would work quickly since we had no heat and the outside temperature was in the 30's. The crew finished the last 4 windows by noon. They cleaned up as best as the could since they could not use their shop-vac to clean the areas. It still looked great. Overall, our new windows look great. So far, it seems as though our house is a bit warmer without the drafts from the old windows.

I had Dunrite replace one small window above my kitchen sink. They were prompt to respond to my request for an initial visit and estimate. The workman was courteous and professional. They contacted me to schedule the install, and performed it without issue. Everything went well. The workman helped me with the older locks on my windows as well. The job was very small for them, but they still provided great service. I would highly recommend them.

Member called me and explained that he was getting water coming in around his door. I told him that we are not a water prevention or detection company. I advised him that it was in his best interest to find out where the water was coming from before having me come out and give him a bid for a new door. I do not know why that caused him to give me an F. I was only trying to save us both some time and was being honest. I wouldn't want to put in a new door and have the water still come in because the problem was not take care of. Member if you get your water problem taken care of I would gladly give you an estimate for a new door, but it seems foolish to me to do the door before solving the water problem.

Dino and his crew were great to work with. During the estimate he gave me all the facts and details about various options including the pros and cons needed to make a informed choice. He did not try to oversell or upsell. By removing previously installed framework that was put inside the original framing they were able to provide us with a few more inches of window space. The crew was quick, efficient and respectful of our property, they finished off the windows neatly and cleaned up thoroughly.
Description of Work: installed 4 double hung windows and 1 awning window. Windows were the heavier Hyde Park model Vinylmax which we chose after comparing the windows at the showroom. Also slightly affecting the price was Prairie grid inserts in the double hung.

I received several calls about when to expect the vent to come in (it had to be ordered) and when they would be out to install it. They came when they said they would, did an excellent job with the installation and left everything clean and neat. The work is excellent and we are very happy with the new window.
Description of Work: Had a basement window that rotted out and needed to be replaced. I was worried about glass block windows because ventilation in the basement is really necessary to keep it dry. Dino came and offered us several choices in terms of size of vents. In the end we ordered a double size vent and this was perfect for what we needed.

Our old house has beautiful windows with old colored glass and wood frames. One window was rotten and a pane of glass fell out. it was beyond repair but we didn't want to replace it with a boring new window. Dun Rite installed an exterior storm window over it. The exterior window can open and has a screen. Working with Dino was a pleasure. He agreed that the old window was beautiful and helped with a solution that preserves it and protects the house. Although it was a small job for Dun Rite they were attentive and professional.

Overall, my experience with them was good. I had somebody else out here before, but they did not do glass block. I needed to have the work done pretty quickly because water was seeping through the glass block in the basement. I found them on Angie’s List, and I went quickly with them. We took a long time getting together, but it was not their fault because I had some things to be done here. They were pretty much on time once I finally got them scheduled. They told me it was going to take about four hours, but it only took two. I haven’t gotten the bill yet, but they quoted $400, and it seemed like a fairly reasonable price. Their responsiveness and professionalism were good. The quality of the work seems good, and I am not getting any leaks. I would probably use them again in the future.

Great! I made an appointment with Dino to get a quote. He showed up on time to review the project and e-mailed me a firm quote by the end of the day. I e-mailed him back in a few days accepting his quote. A day or two later I got a call from Tom (installer) to make an appointment to do the final measurements. He also showed up on time and worked very quickly. I got another call from Tom about three weeks later on a Monday telling me they would have my door in that week. We scheduled an appointment for that Thursday. Tom and two helpers showed up about 8:30 AM to do the install. They finished the job in about 3 hours. They were very courteous and clean. They cleaned up the entire area both inside and outside the door very nicely. They worked quickly and did a really nice job in my opinion. We are very pleased with the work and with everyone we had contact with at Dun-Rite.

We decided to replace old aluminum screen/storm doors in the front and rear of our house. We called Dunrite. Dino came to our house and showed us different possibilities. We chose a quality door that suited our Tudor architecture and Dino provided an estimate in writing. Three weeks later the doors were installed over 3 hours. One was custom fit and the other was also challenging. The workman were competent, courteous and cleaned up after the job. During the job, Dino visited onsite to be sure that everything was going well. We paid by check and the final bill included our 5% Angie's List discount. The doors look great and we are very happy with this company and would strongly recommend them. We would certainly use them again if the need arises.

During the estimate process, Dino came on time, and quickly gave an estimate for the work, which ended up being spot on in the end. It was really a simple process, as there was only one price for all the double hung windows and another price for the casement window. Once we accepted his bid, we scheduled a time for him to get exact measurements on all the windows. It was nice he could come after 5pm, since both my wife and I work. After he got the measurements, he told us the windows would take a few weeks to come in, then we could schedule an installation date. The windows came in on time, and we were able to schedule the install on a Saturday and the following Monday. The installation process was very easy from my standpoint. All we had to do was move take off the curtains/binds and move some furniture so the two installers could work in front of the window. A lot of our windows had been painted shut, but this didn't seem to cause a problem for them. Getting the old windows out was a loud and destructive process, but they were able to replace the top floor during a period of about 6 hours. Before they left, they cleaned up everything pretty well. The next day, the rest of the windows were installed in about 5 hours. A little rain and a few intrusions from a curious dog and cat didn't slow them down. The installers took our window AC units out, but would not put them back in (Dino told us this going in - it has something to do with their insurance). They put in some insulation and redid all the outside trim work, so it looks great from the outside, too. Before they left, they asked how we were going to pay. I thought we had to pay by check, but they take credit cards. So I figured we'd pay with the card and get some reward points. Dino called us a few days later for credit card info. And he gave us the Angies List discount without even being asked. After having the new windows for about a week, I am almost 100% satisfied. I wish we had done this years ago. The only thing I wish could have been done is repainting/caulking of the inside trim work. But I understand these guys are window installers and not painters/contractors. I figured I'd rather have professional window installers do the work instead of some general contractor. So I'll have to buy some caulk and probably do it myself, which hopefully won't be too big of a deal.
Description of Work: We had all 14 of our nearly 100 year old windows replaced. These were the old-school, single pane, counter-weight and pulley type windows. We got 13 double hung vinyl replacement windows and 1 vinyl casement window.
