The phone conversations with Paul were fine when we were getting estimates. He was polite, consistent and the estimate we recieved was much, much less than other moving companies (in the order of hundreds to thousands of dollars). We did see that there were some bad reviews online, but the difference in cost was so significant we decided to go with Delivery Xpress anyway. The guys who arrived in the morning did arrive late, about 45 minutes past the time slot we were provided. However, they did call to tell us that they had hit traffic and were running late and the drive was very long, so we were fine with it. One of the guys was just outstanding. He was professional, friendly, and in good spirits throughout. The other guy acted unhappy to be there, but he also told us he was feeling sick so we gave him some slack. They both moved quickly and worked very hard to fit all our stuff into a truck that was just too small. (Note - make sure they send a big enough truck!) They were exceptionally careful with our belongings and did a great job packing everything. The drive was long, but they checked in with us to let us know that they were switching teams and we would have new movers at our new house (they said they were tired from driving all day and the one guy was feeling more sick). That evening, we arrived at our new house and the new team had also just arrived and were beginning to unload. This new team was in a word...terrible. They acted completely unhappy to be there, moved very slowly, and didn't put in very much effort at all. They decided our couch wouldn't fit through the door and left it outside in the rain. My husband had to remove the legs himself and rally the movers to help him get it through the door. They acted unhappy that they had to carry things up a flight of steps and left whatever they could downstairs (even if it obviously belonged in the bedrooms. They complained and complained and complained that we had too much stuff and it was too heavy. They dropped several boxes, including some marked fragile. My husband thinks at least one of them was doing it intentionally. Several pieces of our furniture were damaged (scuff marks and nicks). Alltogether, I would hire Delivery Xpress USA again, but only if my belongings were replaceable and money was an issue. For us, this was the case, and we were ultimately OK with how it happened. Really, the first team of movers was exemplary. Maybe the evening team were just last minute fill-ins without moving experience? I hope so! So in conclusion, use this company with caution if you need a cheap way to move.
Description of Work: We hired Delivery Xpress for our long distance, cross-state move. They arrived in the morning and carefully and skillfully packed the van (which happened to be too small for our stuff, but the guys there in the morning worked very, very hard to make it work). During the afternoon, they made the long drive to Pittsburgh and we drove along in our car. That evening, the team of movers switched and the new team unloaded the truck into our new house.

Since 6/4/11 I have tried to work with Paul Rosensteel concerning the insurance claim. His contract with me states: "Customer belongings will be covered for full repair or replacement value by Lloyds of London for a maximum value of $2,000,000. Claim form for damages will be mailed to customer within 10 days of said job. As of 10/1/11, I have never received any forms from DeliveryXpress and Paul Rosensteel has stopped receiving calls from my phone (but will accept them if I call in from another number). He feels Budget is at fault and supposedly working with them to resolve the issue, but will not identify who, if anyone, he is working with. Regardless I have a garage full of damaged goods plus a storage unit I had to rent to store additional damaged goods until a promised adjuster can look at things like a plasma tv with cracks in it, damaged art work that was destroyed, as well as numerous other items I cannot throw out until an adjuster verifies that I actually have the items in my possession.
Description of Work: Paul Rosensteel is the head of DeliveryXpressUSA who were going to move me from Pittsburgh to Florida. They filled a 24' Budget rental truck that apparently had problems as the truck crashed on 5/30/11 resulting the destruction of much of my furniture, art, glassware, bookcases and miscellaneous items. My furniture was subsequently placed in another truck and delivered on 6/4/11.
