The gentleman I spoke with upon first call was very responsive to give an estimate ($1500.) We had an estimate within 3 days along with a recommendation for more work that we had anticipated, which we gladly accepted. However, the company did not show up to perform the work on the scheduled day. They did not call to tell us that they had rescheduled us. It took me a week to get a call back. I cancelled the job. Very disappointing indeed!

First of all, we loved that tree and it was tragic when it fell, necessitating its removal. Second of all, it fell on a Wednesday late afternoon (5:45 PM) and it fell onto our BRAND NEW car. So when I called Dean Thomas at 6:30 PM to inquire about removal services, I was pretty shaken up. The woman I spoke to was really understanding and helpful and she relayed my message to Mr. Thomas immediately. He called me right back and came to the house to assess the damage and give me an estimate. Then he sent his 5-man crew over to do the work the following morning (right at 9 AM, when he said they'd be here). They very carefully cleared away the tree parts that were on my car and enabled me to move the car out of the driveway. Then they systematically dismantled the remainder of the tree. They were all very good-natured, professional, and polite. It was a pleasure having them here. I felt the entire time that I was really "in good hands" and they expertly put a bad situation "right" again.

I contacted Dean Thomas Tree Service for an estimate to prune two fruit-bearing pear trees in my back yard. They stopped by (when I wasn't home) and gave me an estimate over the phone within 48 hours. After I hired them, they were able to perform the job within a week or two (I wasn't in a big hurry). The worker who performed the job seemed to be courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about trees and how best to care for them. He pruned the trees, cleaned up the branches, and didn't leave a mess. I was charged $225 for the job, exactly as quoted. That seemed to be the going rate for this type of job.

We have used Dean Thomas Tree Service before with great results and I have to say they are two for two! I wouldn't bother calling anyone else. They don't mess around---get right to work and clean up like they were never there. They made a tough job look very easy.

I called them when they didn't show up and he said he wasn't going to show up because he was busy with another project. He should have at least called to let me know.

IT WAS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH MR. THOMAS. HE RETURNED OUR CALLS FAIRLY PROMPTLY, SURVEYED THE PROPERTY AND GAVE US AN ESTIMATE IN A TIMELY FASHION. WE AGREED ON HIS ESTIMATE, BUT BEFORE WE COULD SCHEDULE THE WORK, WE HAD TO GO OUT OF TOWN UNEXPECTEDLY. WE WERE DELIGHTED TO COME HOME TO A YARD WITH NO DEAD TREES IN IT (NOR ANY TRACE OF THEIR STUMPS) AND OTHER TREES AND SHRUBS PROFESSIONALLY PRUNED.

RIGHT FROM THE INITIAL PHONE CALL I KNEW I WAS DEALING WITH A PROFESSIONAL. THE ENTIRE PROCESS WAS TAKEN CARE OF IN A WEEK AND A HALF. I WAS OUT OF TOWN WHEN THEY DID THE JOB BUT ARRIVED HOME AND EVERYTHING WAS JUST AS I WANTED; CLEANED UP AND NEAT ALSO. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE THRILLED. EASIEST JOB I'VE EVER CONTRACTED.

DEAN ARRIVED AN HOUR AFTER I CALLED HIS OFFICE. WITHIN 20 MIN. I HAD AN ESTIMATE AND LEARNED THAT THE CHERRIES WERE EDIBLE (AND SWEET). HIS CREW COMPLETED THE WORK OVER THE NEXT THREE DAYS, WITH THE BULK OF THE WORK FINISHED THE FIRST DAY. THEY RETURNED TO REMOVE THE STUMP. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT. THEY SAVED OUR PINE TREE, AND THEIR MAJOR PRUNING OF THE CHERRY TREE LEFT AN ELEGANT TREE THAT WILL GRACE OUR LAWN FOR MANY MORE YEARS. THE TREE WAS OVERHANGING OUR NEIGHBOR'S DRIVEWAY AND THE BACK CORNER OF THEIR HOUSE. NO LONGER. IT WAS A RADICAL PRUNING THAT PRESERVED THE BEAUTY OF THE TREE. THEY TRULY ARE EXPERT PRUNERS. I WILL CALL THEM BACK FOR FUTURE WORK.

THEY PRUNED SEVERAL TREES IN OUR YARD, INCLUDING AN OLD MAPLE THAT SITS NEXT TO OUR HOUSE. VERY CLEAN. THE TREE WAS PRUNED PROPERTY, NOT HACKED AND OUR TREES CONTINUE TO THRIVE.
