+ 0 moreI'm happy to add my voice to the chorus of people singing Dave's praises. He returned my call on a Friday within two hours, scheduled the tear-down and hauling for a Sunday morning at 9 am, arrived a few minutes early, and had the whole job finished within an hour. A nice guy, reliable, and responsible. I would recommend him highly and will certainly use him again if I have another hauling job.
Description of Work: Dave tore down a small shed in my back yard and hauled away the debris from the demolition.

+ -1 moreDave did a great job. He called me back the same day I called him and quoted me on the phone using the list of items I wanted removed. Dave arrived 10 minutes early and on a Sunday ! He and a helper (Bill) removed heavy objects from my basement and attic involving at least 15 trips up and down stairs. He had to take apart a nautilous exercise machine that was quite complicated. He also did his best to avoid touching my newly painted walls (I did notice one small scratch) but Dave did a great job under difficult situation. Dave's price was very fair. I highly recommend him and will certainly use him again.

+ -1 moreHe did an amazing job. He not only did two different loads, but he made two seperate trips to make sure they were both taken to individual recycling centers. I thought that was environmentally sound and I appreciated it. He was clean, kind, cost effective and went above the call of duty.

+ -1 moreAs always before (I've called Dave after remodeling and for yard waste for several years), Dave returned my call the same day, and came on the day that worked best for my schedule. He arrived right on time and quickly dealt with all of the things I needed to get rid of before my move. He was careful removing large items and worked efficiently to get two loads done in very little time. He's terrific; I would recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Dave came to help with the final clean-out before my move. He separated the material that could be recycled from the rest, loaded the recyclables for Construction Junction and took those (even brought me back a tax receipt), then loaded everything else for the landfill.

+ -1 moreIt was a lot of work, as almost everything had to be carted up or down stairs. Dave came with another man and they did it all over several trips. We needed it to be done on the weekend, to avoid taking time from work, and Dave was able to work around our schedule. The work areas were left clean.
Description of Work: We emptied the basement, attic, and garage of our why-are-we-keeping-this junk, our this-furniture-is-dead junk, and our I-guess-in-the-right-hands-this-would-be-lumber junk. Dave hauled away six or more pickup-truck-loads, including a sofa that had to be manhandled up the stairs from the basement, and a sofa-bed that had to be disassembled before it could be carried down the stairs from the attic.

Description of Work: Dave hauled away almost thirty years of collected "stuff" that filled my large basement and an adjacent small room to nearly overflowing! This included an old refrigerator, treadmill, two very large desks, several metal cabinets, old doors and millwork, broken glass and some very heavy stone blocks left behind by a sculptor who owned the house well before my time. Old bags of peat moss had frayed open and spilled their contents all over the floor. Dave was unfazed by it all--even when I was surprised and embarrassed at all of the stuff he had to cart away. Also he kept his price at the original estimate of $400., despite the unexpected items that showed up. He returned my calls promptly, and worked to complete the job within the parameters I needed. He is exceptionally polite and never once failed to be responsive to the needs I had for the job. I didn't expect a provider of hauling services to broom clean the floor but Dave did! Dave really went way over and above what was required...something you don't see everyday! I will definitely use him again and strongly recommend his services.

Dave arrived promptly as scheduled and worked with the our group to load his truck. As a favor to the church, he actually took more than one load away becuase we had more than one load's worth of debris. Dave was friendly and a pleasure to work with. + -1 moreThe whole thing was great! I left a message for Dave Saturday morning and he called back within an hour. I described my situation and Dave explained that he's not really in the moving business and isn't insured for it. I said I understood completely and considered this more of a situation where I was asking "a friend" with a truck and a helper to assist me in a quick move situation. He assured me that they would be very careful with my furniture. Dave and his helper arrived in about 45 minutes, even sooner than expected. They were very gracious about removing their shoes inside, taking extra precautions with the recliner when it wouldn't fit through one doorway, and being very conscientious overall. They had the two pieces loaded on the truck and then carried into the other house nearby within just 10-15 minutes. It really was a great help to me and something I certainly couldn't have done myself. I would definitely use his services again!
Description of Work: I needed to have two pieces of furniture (one a particularly large, unwieldy, and heavy electric-lift recliner) moved from one house to another nearby.

+ -1 moreHire this man! Dave is fantastic. Prompt, professional, willing to help in any way, extremely hardworking. He hauled everything out, on a blazing hot day, in filthy conditions without blinking an eye. He bagged garbage himself when needed. Dave went to the trouble to separate garbage, recycling, and items for charity (of my choice!), even though it meant multiple drop-offs for him. He made quick work of pulling up old carpet in 3 rooms and stairs and hauled that off too. On top of it all he is kind and personable. A pleasure to work with. Can't say enough good things about this guy.

+ -1 moreAfter remodeling my basement, I contacted several hauling services and Dave's hauling was far and large the most cost effective and eager to accept my job. The ranges of quotes were from $330-$580 and Dave's phone quote was substantially cheaper. Upon contact, he was able to pick up the trash within two days time. Dave is very professional, extremely personable, and very hard working. He drove an hour to my property and worked quickly to remove all of my rubbish in two trips. He denied payment until the second load was removed from my property - an honest characteristic in a worker! Additionally, he attempts to recycle items, thus helping the environment. I will definitely contact or recommend him to anyone wishing to have items hauled away.

He showed up an hour later, made two trips to haul away my debris, and within an hour of his first arrival the project was done. + -1 moreOn returning from work, I saw to my dismay that the trash service hadn't picked up a large, heavy,and unwieldy piece of furniture I'd put out for removal. I'd had help dragging from the garage and knew I could not drag it back in myself. I saw Dave's reviews and gave him a call about hauling it away. He called right back and happened to be very near my home in the South Hills--a real stroke of luck. He came right over, chopped up the piece, and had it in his truck within minutes. He was completely prompt, friendly and professional. Needless to say I was very satisfied.
Description of Work: Dave chopped up a very large, heavy wooden and pegboard "bar" and hauled it away. He did this on very short notice.

+ -1 moreDave is the nicest guy and works very hard. He had to run up and down steps in 90 degree weather in order to get to my backyard where the debris was located. He was polite and efficient. I have used him in the past and will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Dave returned my call the same day. He removed about 40 very heavy contractor bags full of debris from a renovation project, as well as two wood cabinets, 1 wood door, and other assorted items. He split the job over two days (took one large truckful one day and a second large truckful the following day). He also made a special trip to pick up the items that could be recycled.

He and his cousin completed the job within an hour and even pulled the weeds from the area. Not only their work was excellent, they were both very nice and polite. I will definitely call him again this summer, as I have some projects around the house. I recomend Dave to anyone who needs prompt hauling services.
