After exampling the electrical issues I was having they quickly started troubleshooting the problem. After 30 mins or so they figured it out and identified I had a bad 4 way light switch and that my front lights had independent switches for some reason which had caused me to screw up things in the light switch as it has 3 slots which really only need two given the front lights should be on one switch instead of how they had originally wired the house with two independent switches. To my surprise they didn't have a 4-way light switch in their truck so they needed to run out to pick one up. After they returned they completed everything. 1.5 hrs of work, which probably could have been cut down to an hour if they were to carry switches in their truck. Chris also gave me a reasonably quote to add a few plugs and install some can lights. Which I will likely have done by them. That said, overall it was a good experience and would recommend CW Electrical in the future.

I emailed CW on friday, May 28th. Chris called me within 30 minutes. I explained that we had a circuit problem on the first floor of our house, had an open ended quote by another electrician for 'at least $600' (which was going to entail cutting into my diningroom ceiling). I wanted CW to come and look at it for a second opinion. We scheduled for today, June 1st at 11am. Chris showed up early, figured out the problem, found the junction box that the other company couldn't find, and rewired it- for a very reasonable price. He was very professional, knowledgable, and honest. Was here for about an hour and a half- and we have power now! Would definitely recommend CW, and will call them for any future needs.

They were excellent when they came out. They were very professional and very thorough. I am pleased with the the work that they did.

CW was one of several estimates we received. Chris came out to discuss the work and provide the estimate. He was knowledgeable and personable, and explained what needed to be done and what our options were. They provided the best price, and we felt comfortable booking the work with them. When I requested a different service date, they moved things around to accommodate my schedule. Workers were prompt (actually a couple of minutes early!) and very professional. Other than the occasional banging or other sounds of work, I didn't even know they were there. The work took a couple more hours than anticipated, but they stuck around until everything was done. They cleaned up and left the basement looking neat. Overall very professional and a pleasure to do business with.

I thought they did a fine job. They were quick and efficient. I probably paid more than I should have, but I needed it done quickly so it was fine.

(02/17/2010) The owner got back to us right away and was on time. We really liked him. He was very professional and really knew what he was talking about. He recognized what we had right away. He didn?t recommend anything that wasn?t necessary and answered all our questions. He was personable without being too friendly. We understood a lot because he knew a lot about electricity. He was simply wonderful. The price was fair, but a little bit more than what we had expected. My husband also checked with the Better Business Bureau and CW Electrical Services had a good rating there. They haven?t done any work yet, but we definitely plan to use them. UPDATE (05/12/2010) The crew arrived, and finished on time. They cleaned up after themselves and were quiet and professional throughout. They coordinated with the utility company and the inspector. Everything is working perfectly.

Chris showed up on time to give us an estimate. The prior two electricians were late or never showed, so I stressed to Chris it was vital for him to be on time and execute our agreement. There were two things that initially troubled me about CW/Chris, he gave me a weathered / dirty business card and there were no markings on his truck, it seemed a little sketchy. Chris gave us an initial estimate that was a high. I walked out to his truck and looked him directly saying ?I want you to do the work and need you here by 8am? Chris also told us the job would take all day, a full 8 hours. I am at stay at home Dad and do not have time wait around for someone to show up in a 2-4 hour window. He told me he would get me a written estimate in a day or two, but it took about 3 or 4. He sent the estimate and it was high, so I asked for some coupons, and he was apprehensive to provide any, so I went looking on the internet (he almost prodded me to do it on my own and would not give me any on his own) I called him to discuss a few minor details and left him a message. I always reiterate the date, day, and time any time I talk with someone that is going to do work for me, because that way there is no guess work on the day (a good trick to learn). He was ok with the details in a voicemail and said that the other person would be able to handle the work. I was concerned because I told him I want him doing the work, not someone else or sub I never met to even know if they are qualified. I called him back and once again confirmed the date, day, time and that I wanted him to do the work. He got back to me and agreed that he would be there to do the work. My wife took the day off to be home, so someone could watch our son while the work was being done. Chris told us it would take 8 hours, so someone would need to be around the entire day. The day came for the work at 8am and no Chris. I called at 8:15am and could tell that he was not on the road. I told him we agreed to 8am, he argued and said no, but he said he would be there at 8:30am and would be there on time. I called him again at 8:45am and asked him where he was. He said he was on his way. I reiterated that he promised 8am, he became irate and said no. He also said it is no big deal, because the job would take 3 or 4 hours. He over inflated the cost, by telling us the job initially would take 8 hours, but on the day of the job it shrinks to 3 or 4 hours. My wife lost a day off, we waited around for an hour, and CW/Chris is treating me like a parasite. I said he promised me he would be on time and we would not have these issues. He then said ?Oh well, I guess you cannot please everyone.? He then hung up the phone. CW/Chris followed through on nothing they said and when they day of the work came he could not perform his duties. If someone cannot show up on time initially, they will never show up to fix anything that is wrong, and will never show up in emergency

I was able to schedule an appointment right away (called only a few days ahead of appointment date), and was pleasantly surprised that they (Chris & Tony) arrived a few minutes prior to our appointment time. They were able to determine the problem and fix it within an hour. They were both very professional & polite, and more importantly, knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Chris and Tony were prompt, very professional and did a variety of electrical services for me. I even asked if they could do an unplanned job that would take about an hour. They stayed through lunch to complete it for me. They were very conscientious and did a great job - I am having them return to do a few more jobs in the near future.

I left a message for Chris and he returned my call within 10 minutes. We set up an appointment that worked with my schedule. He arrived promptly and was polite. He completed the work without any cleanup needed on my part.

He was there on time and when he said he would be there. The price was good, I got different estimates. He was very polite. He did an excellent job! I would definitely use him again, and plan to in the spring. I have recommended him to a couple people.

CW Electrical Services was great. They came over to my house for the estimate, on time. They then made it to my house on Saturday during a snowstorm and completed the job professionally, on time and on budget. The job included installing a new electrical panel, wiring a 220V hot tub and running a TV cable line to my outside patio. They cleaned up when they were done and left a neat, clean job site. I would use them again.

Efficient, more than punctual, honest--will pass their name on willingly to all my friends.

Needed power in the middle of my ceiling for a fan. Nearest power was track lighting at the edge of the ceiling. This involved drilling through five or six ceiling joists so I couldn't do it myself. Had called other electricians (3) who were absolutely terrible at returning calls or even showing up for an estimate, Called CW at the recommendation of another contractor. Chris answered promptly, scheduled an estimate, arrived on time, and gave me a fair price. We scheduled an appointment for the work to be done but I ended up needing it sooner (within a week)--Chris said no problem and rescheduled. Again arrived on time, did a nice job with the work, cleaned up, gave me a bill in the exact amount of the estimate. Very professional.
