They are pretty good. I don't like their phone service at all. When you call, you have to go through a lot to talk to a person, and we call because we need help with something, but it is so difficult to get through. Other than that, they are very good, they are excellent in answering questions once you get them. I think they are too expensive, that is why we usually call, because our price goes up and then they will give us some deal like HBO or something. The quality is very good. You keep answering when you call, machine keeps asking you questions and you get frustrated because you keep answering over and over. Sometimes when you first get a person on the line, they are not able to help you, and they will say they have to send out a service ma, and then there is another department in the system that calls you back before you actually have somebody come, and that department can work through everything. Sometimes the people are like they are just training, and they pause and pause and it is like they are looking for answers. The department that calls you back are really trained and know their business. We have used them for years.
Description of Work: We use Comcast for phone, TV and internet. We pay for a bundle. We pay for a computer that we don't own, but they tell me that it is cheaper to do the bundle so we kept it.

The installer was very personable and somewhat professional. I wasn't pleased with the fact that he said he couldn't or wouldn't install a new cable connection plate. I have two big, thick and very long cable wires running across the whole length of the wall which to me is very unsightly. The video is outstanding. I opted for the new X1 system and I'm pleased with it. The telephone service is sub-par. The installer said that he could not activate any of the phone jack lines that were previously installed in the home. The only jack available to me was the jack on the back of the modem. So now I wonder how I should connect my copier/fax machine when I have no alternative jacks to use. Also, they were supposed to port my old number for me. Finally, six days after the installation I realized that we hadn't received any phone calls from family or friends. Here I come to find out that I no longer have the phone number that comcast told me they could port for me. I have a totally different phone number and was never made aware of the fact. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

It was horrible. They sent me to the Chicago office and I waited 5 minutes. I had to redo this again and was transferred to the Pennsylvania office I spoke with someone who could not find my account and they said that my account did not exist. The lady that I was speaking with was incompetent and was rude and finally hung up on me after I asked for a supervisor even though I was calm on the phone.

Their customer service is terrible. The sales people promised me all kinds of things. I have a security system and they said it was compatible with it. When they installed everything it did not work. I called the company. I cancelled ADP and I don?t want to pay $116 for the first half hour. I am going with a different provider now.

A real "comedy of errors," of their corporate technical system, sending a different technician each time, requiring endless re-explanations of the problem and what prior techs had done, ad infinitum. Each new one didn't even recognize that prior ones had left outside boxes open, baseboard connectors disassembled, connections unconnected, etc. We were left with only one phone working, connected to the Modem. The FIOS techs (2, working together), reported to require 4 to 6 hours to install their dual system, took only 3 1/2 hours to not only install their new Modem and system, but to correctly connect and revive our entire phone system!
Description of Work: Applies to Telephone & high-speed Internet combined service. After at least half-a-dozen technician calls and visits to effectively install their Voice-Mail service, along with prior Internet, months before; some months later my phone service went kaput. Phoned for service, and the first tech over-stayed his allotted minimal time, for several hours, leaving perplexedly and with apparatus in disarray. Each of 3 more service techs, in staying home awaiting their time-limited calls, came up with different diagnoses (needed an outside re-wiring with costs, re-configuring wires with costs, alleged incompatible with (defined to them as Uniden) phones, advice to buy more remote phones for the only one connected (to Modem), et al (all involving useless extra expenses, if done), left our system still out of order. Disgustedly shifting then to FIOS, they installed and corrected the defective Comcast incompetency in record time, pointing out that connections had been left unconnected.

Service guy who installed the cable was excellent. He drilled the new holes in places that are not immediately visible. He ran the new cable along other existing lines so not to mar the outside of the house. Also helped catch my dog who escaped out the back yard. Nice guy. Phone technician was very helpful, walked me through some diagnostics and then sent help over. At home computer tech arrived promptly the next day. Determined the source of the problem, comcast server, and fixed it immediately. was only at my house for about 20 minutes.
Description of Work: We had cable installed in two new places. Had digital cable for the tv downstairs and cable internet installed upstairs. Had a problem with the cable internet. Called comcast help desk and after a few minutes they determined that they needed to send a tech to my house diagnose the problem.

COMCAST SERVICE IS QUICKER THAN THE DIAL-UP SERVICES. I WAS DISAPPOINTED ONLY BY THE HOLES LEFT ON THE WOODEN LIVING ROOM FLOOR WHEN THE TECHNICIAN MISCALCULATED WHERE THE CABLE WAS TO COME UP FROM THE BASEMENT.
