COLLINS PAVING LLC

I filled out their "Get a quote" section on their website on March 3, 2020. This is March 12, 2020. I haven't got any response at all. No emails, phone calls, nothing... They were recommended by Highland Paving because Highland mostly does commercial.

Jerry and his crew are hard working professionals. They completed our driveway in one day and did an excellent job. Highly recommend!!

We live less than 10 minutes from this company. We called and requested an estimate for a repair on our driveway. They were scheduled to come the following Saturday to look at the job and provide an estimate. They never showed up and never called. I called the following week to find out what happened. They never returned my call. Completely unprofessional. If they treat customers this way before they get your money, I would hate to see how they act after getting it. I also cannot understand how Angies List has them rated as an "A" when they have accumulated quite a few "F" grades.

From contact, bid, scheduling, work, short time and professional service, to finishing the blending with the road, all was excellent. Collins is first class all of the way.

They arrived earlier than scheduled, which enabled them to get more done than anticipated the first day, arrived the second day and finished the base and laid the asphalt. The entire crew was friendly and personable, they took great pride in the job they were doing.

Warning about Collins Paving - the bidder might tell you that the job can be done by the end of this month, then when there's a signed agreement, the office will tell you they can't do the work until next year. So, we had someone from Collins Paving come to the house to provide a bid. The very first question I asked was, "When can you get the work done?" and they said last week of October. And when asked if they were sure they could get it done this year, they said, "Absolutely", because it's a small job, they're doing other work in the area, and they work until around Thanksgiving. We negotiated the price, signed the bid, got our neighbors to sign off on the plan, sent the paperwork to the HOA, and got it approved - all in one weekend. The bidder came to our house on Saturday morning, and I called Collins on Monday morning to schedule the job. I was then told "It's going to have to be next season". When I brought up that the bidder repeatedly assured us that it would be done this year, their office person said, "I'm really sorry, the bidder wasn't aware of when they were actually available." We've already turned down a competing bid and have a signed agreement, but now we have to go back to square one in order to get the job done this year. If the person providing the bid can't guarantee when he's available, he shouldn't answer questions about when he's available. His answer should have been "You need to talk to the office. I can't say for sure when we are available, and can't guarantee to get in there this year."

It all went fine. They have a hardworking crew of 8 men and got the job done in one day. Be advised when they say they will be here at 8 am, they really mean 7am. It wa s all good, they work well together and take pride I. Their work.

3 voicemails and one email. Could not get a return call stating they were to busy, that is all I ask!

Absolutely satisfied with the entire process. This is truly a great company- from beginning to end, they were very responsive, punctual and professional. We had an old long gravel/grass driveway that they graded and paved. They also listened to concerns we had with water historically flowing and pooling where the road met our drive. They put great thought and time into working to configure the new drive in a manner that would allow the water to bi-pass. I was extremely satisfied with the price for the precision of work performed and would highly recommend.

Did an excellent job at a great price. They went the extra mile to complete the driveway exactly how we wanted it done. Very satisfied with the results.

We signed the contract proposal in April. The job was completed June 10. Collins Paving came 7:30 AM and completed the job by 5:30 PM. Jerry and his crew worked continuously the entire time. They were very professional and respectful of our property. We are extremely satisfied with the result.

First of all, I was impressed with Collins Paving’s responsiveness to requesting a quote. I left a voicemail message along with the address. Jerry, the foreman, called me a few days later indicating that he was at the house and left a bid at the front door. Subsequently, Jerry was very willing to accommodate my timing needs to replace an old asphalt drive prior to placing a house on the market for sale. This was a challenge since the spring asphalt work season was just starting. Collins Paving did an excellent job with the actual asphalt paving of the drive.

They arrived around 10:00am and finished around 4:00pm. The entire job was done in one day. My property is a tight squeeze and situated on a busy road. They controlled the traffic while maneuvering heavy equipment in a very narrow driveway. The finished job is excellent. Great care was taken to pave around my new retaining wall and the entrance to my garage. They were very professional and courteous. I have received many compliments on the driveway from my neighbors.

His responsiveness was not real quick. He did apologize the next day. When they tore up the drive way it was a mushroom pushing the drive way up.

Horrible. Nasty, arrogant guys that work for him. The driveway I had installed 20 years ago was in perfect condition. I seal my driveway faithfully in the spring and in the fall. I decided to have my driveway replaced just because of its age. Collins paving did an okay job, nothing spectacular and I had even questioned certain areas with the owner when the job was done. The only response I received was praise on good his crew did. Really? Now a year later, I have cracks throughout the driveway. No response yet from Collins Paving. UPDATE: Jerry, the superintendent with Collins Paving came back and repaired the cracks, added asphalt to areas where it was needed and sealed the driveway. He was very professional and personable. The driveway looks great. Spoke with Steve Collins and thanked him for the repairs and told him how nice the driveway looks.

Jerry (the foreman) met with me to provide a bid for replacing my driveway. He really took the time to explain to me the process of how it works and what to look for when receiving bids. When Jerry showed up to do the work, he really focused on the details and went the extra mile to get the job done right. He ended up needing more asphalt than I was quoted, due to an extra ramp they installed for me and some soft spots that required more material. He wasn?t going to charge me for the extra material but I insisted since it was due to my add-ons and was required to complete the job correctly. The whole crew was extremely respectful to my whole family, even calling my wife Mrs. I have dealt with customer service representatives that didn?t conduct themselves as professional as this crew. My wife and son gave the crew drinks and snacks, and every one of the crew said thank you. I would 100% recommend Collins Paving Co.

They did an excellent job. It was a little hard to get in contact with them at first but once they came out for the estimate everything went very smoothly. They completed the job in one day which was ver convenient and the drive way looks great. I would recommend them.

They were very professional and did a great job on the project. The work was done timely after the estimate was acquired. They did what they said they would do and left the sit in good order. I was very pleased with the overall services and expense.

Mr. Collins provided gave us a good explanation of what it needed to be done and the work that he was quoting. We decided to go ahead with him based on other reviews and after seeing the level of detail of his explanations. He gave us a time frame when he was expecting they would be able to start the job given that is had been raining often. Mr. Collins actually called us before that asking us if they could start working on it sooner. He told us that they had a job the following morning but that they could start working on our driveway by noon. Their team arrived on time and they got everything done by the end of the day. I am pretty happy with the end result. The driveway looks pretty nice.

.work went just fine showed up on time but had a truck that was broke down. So when dug up old driveway had to make two trips with one truck when removing old driveway. when installing new asphalt had to wait again so one truck had to make two trips it just took alot longer for the job to get down. They were here 8:30a to 3P. Driveway turned out just great .
