The owner setup an appointment for Saturday 6/14/14 at 10:00 to review the scope of work and provide an estimate for paving and sealing of the driveway. Waited two hours for him to show. Never arrived. Totally unprofessional. Ive been in business for forty years and always had the decency to at least call if i couldn't make the appointment. Getting tired of these fly by night contractors who have never learned how important it is to recognize and respect that they are not the only ones setting aside their time.

The first time I had them was 2007, they replaced the whole driveway together with my neighbor's driveway. My neighbor was the one who really dealt with him mostly with the phone calls and all that. I can't judge that. They came when they said they would come, they did a decent job, they cleaned up so I was happy with them. I have contacted them since and that's where the bad experience comes in. I tried to get them back here because the driveway needs to be fixed. There's holes and cracking and so on. And again I've called them four times, I have not had a response. While they did a decent job the first time, their ranking as far as I'm concerned is not valid anymore because they are not responding. People should respond to calling.

All went smoothly. They tore up the old asphalt the one day and finished the job the next day. They were there when the said and were very informative and worked neatly and quickly.

Called Steve Collins about a month before the job was done he came out looked it over and told me how he would do it and gave me a price. I agreed a few days later and he gave me notice when it would be done. The men arrived on time and finished the job and cleaned up the area afterwards. They did an excellent job and would not hesitate to recommend them.

They did a lovely job. He was fast. They changed the grade and installed a drain so the drainage was better. It was a big job and they handled it well.

Mr. Collins great. Out of 5 contractors that I called, he was the only one to respond! Punctual, Ashalt is expensive but he did honor his price even with fluctuating costs on his end. Beautiful work and a very good and knowledgable crew.

Overall it was an excellent experience.

All of the workers were professional and courteous. They arrived at 8:00 in the morning. All worked hard to get the job done well. Mr Collins was very helpful in explaining what was being done and what to expect. The work was done in one day and the driveway is beautiful. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the materials was excellent. The crew excavated the old asphalt and their machine ground it up as part of the base for the new driveway. ( I like that it did not go into a landfil. It shows that Collins Paving is concerned about our environment.) When the base had been put in, the crew then compacted it very soundly. Then the asphalt was poured and compacted. The crew cleaned up everything spotlessly. We are very, very pleased with the work and the level of professionalism of Collins Paving. We would and have recommened Collins Paving to others and to anyone who wants to have quality professional work.

They arrived on time, excavated the old stone driveway, installed new drains, and completed the paving on schedule. In addition, they made a suggestion to build a retaining wall along one side of our driveway - it looks great! We have a relative who is in the paving business in New York and he commented on what a fine job they did. We were very pleased with their work and professionalism and we would definitely recommend them.

They did an excellent job. I have no complaints whatsoever about the job. They worked very efficiently and quickly and the result was very good.

Everything went great. They did it in two and a half days, which is amazing because they had to dig it all up. They graded it so we have fewer puddles and the water now flows much better during a rain storm.

Steve is tough to get in touch with. He's only in the office evenings. He is reachable by cell phone, once you have that number. Steve and his crew were very professional and cordial. They readily moved equipment out of the way when someone needed access beyond where they were working. During the work, they determined that some work that had been included in the estimate would not be necessary. Steve explained this and said the final bill would be lower than the estimate. He required no payment until the job was complete.

On Thursday evening I left a message asking for an estimate and had a detailed estimate in hand by Saturday. Mr. Collins explained the services fully but also told me the work doesn't really need to be done for a few more years, unless I wanted to do it for cosmetic purposes.

I had an excellent experience with Steve. He was very responsive when asked to provide an estimate which was received on a very timely basis (within a day or two). We did not commit to a specific date due to weather constraints but he called shortly before he was ready to complete the work and it was done within a day. The work was completed within a relatively quick time frame once I had agreed to the estimate. The entire process was totally transparent in that no debris was left and the end result was high quality. Steve was very professional throughout the process, kept me informed of the status and overall was just a really nice person to work with.

He was very nice, and he showed up when he said he was going to. He schedules close to the paving dates, so you are not going to know in advance when he is going to come out to pave.

The weak link was trying to get in touch with Steve to get an estimate (initial call goes to an answering service), but once I had his direct number, I was able to reach Steve easily. In terms of the actual work performed, I was very pleased with the professional crew members who completed the job and I appreciated their attention to detail. The driveway looks great! Please note that although I rated the company "B" for Price, their price was in line with the other estimates that I received. I just think that everyone was high!

Never received a return call to either of my messages. Contacted other companies that returned calls within 1-2 days.

Excellent crew led by Steve Collins. They were very professional and helpful. Completed work in less than a day. Results appear excellent.

MR. COLLINS AND HIS CREW ARRIVED ON TIME, DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, RESURFACED JUST AS HE EXPLAINED HE WOULD, ONLY TOOK A HALF-DAY, AND LEFT WITHOUT EVEN BEING PAID, INDICATING THAT I COULD SEND THE CHECK IN THE MAIL. THE DRIVEWAY IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE AND DEFINITELY WOULD CALL UPON HIM AGAIN IF I HAVE THE NEED.

WORK WAS TIMELY, PROFESSIONAL, REASONABLE IN COST AND EXCELLENT. THE COMPANY GIVES AN EXCELLENT OVERVIEW OF THE PAVING PROCESS FOR CONSUMERS, THIS IS THE ONLY SUCH REPORT THAT I'VE EVER SEEN. EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT. I WAS AT WORK WHILE THE WORK WAS PERFORMED. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULT. IF I COULD GIVE THEM AN A+ IN ALL CATEGORIES, I WOULD. THE COMPANY ALSO DOES SEAL COATING AND I WILL USE THEM FOR THIS SERVICE WHEN APPROPRIATE.
