He was very meticulous, the fit and finish are excellent. It fits perfectly and looks great. Installation was a bit more of an ordeal than he expected, it took a full day. However, in the end it was well worth it. We've been using it for several years now, all still looks and works perfectly. Thank you, Brian

We signed a contract with Bryan Cinski of Cinski Interiors in early 2020 for new wainscoting in our dining room, entry way, and the main staircase. I was impressed by Bryan's attention to detail and the quality of his work when I met him. This was an expensive project for us and a big project for him. In hindsight I think it was too big of a job for him. The work was to begin in March, per our contract, but did not start until June. There were several delays for various reasons. We asked Bryan for his word that he would be at our house every day until he was finished with the project, and he assured us he would be. Bryan anticipated 2 to- 2.5 weeks to finish the project, but after 5 weeks, the job still wasn't completed, and the way things were going it was looking like at least another 2-3 weeks to finish. Bryan was often late in getting to the house, he would say he'd be there at 9 but wouldn't show up till 11 or 12. He would let us know, however, that he was going to be late, which we anticipated most days as we learned his routine. He also would tell us that he couldn't come back for a few days at a time, citing personal reasons, although we learned from somebody that knows him that he was working in a different location on several of those days, I don’t understand why he wasn’t more transparent with us. After 5 weeks and the wainscoting portion of the job complete, Bryan said it would probably be best for him and for us if he didn't finish the project then, and he would come back at a later time to finish, perhaps in the fall. We all agreed, and we trusted his word. He deducted $1500 from the final payment for the staircase and we gave him a check. We said we would pay him the final $1500 when he finished the staircase. He agreed. We have since learned that $1500 to do what we wanted done on the staircase was not a realistic price, and we feel like we were duped. Little did we know at the time that he never really had the intention to finish the project. I started contacting Bryan about a month after he finished to ask when we could set up the time to finish and I never heard back. I believe I sent at least 4 or 5 messages over the course of the next couple of months, and said I was considering legal action if he did not complete the project. I really did not want to go there, as I understand he is a small business and don't like to do that to people, but he didn’t fulfill his side of the bargain. Overall, we were pleased with Bryan's work, but not with his professional integrity for a number of reasons. I last contacted Bryan on 9/23 and he responded almost right away. We mentioned if he did not contact us and set up a time to complete the job, we would need to give him a negative review. He wrote back saying he does not want to complete the job for a host of reasons, and wished us luck on our project.

Brian did an excellent job. Brian and his counterpart were on time and keep me in the loop as project progressed. They were also very courteous and clean. The only complain was he is in high demand and took a while to schedule. However when scheduled they were punctual.

They did a terrific job. I have never had a company in my house that I was happier with. They were professional, came when they said they would come, cleaned up afterwards, and charged a fair price. I would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them.

Project completed in a professional manner
Description of Work: Brian converted an under stairs closet to a beautiful pantry, that is not only functional but attractive. I use the pantry all the time so I wanted an esthetic design not just a bunch of shelves. He also customized a closet in my studio/office in the same manner.

The job went very well. Cinski interiors are true craftsmen. They are very meticulous in their work. The job was performed in a craftsman like manner in a neat fashion. Numerous precautions were taken to make sure there was no clean up left for me after the job was completed. This, in my opinion, is not often found when contracting for home improvement services. I've work with over ten contractors to do extensive interior remodeling. See the pictures of the completed job I've attached.

The job went extremely well! I've worked with dozens of contractors over the years for both interior and exterior work. I can say without a doubt that Cinski Interiors was hands down the most clean, detailed and professional contractor I had work on my home. Brian Cinski has an excellent dust containment system on his equipment which eliminated the need to do any clean up after the job was completed. This is a big, big plus. It's been my past experience that cleaning up dust after a remodeling job can take large amounts time and you seem to never get it all. Brian is also a "true professional" craftsman. He is very detailed and accurate in his work. Being so provides a professional looking finished product. He pays attention to detail and will go the extra step to do the job correctly. There is no cutting corners You get your monies worth. I would recommend him to ANYONE. He has also done two other projects in my home. See his website at [*** Link removed ***] for the dining room remodeling job he did in my home. It's the room with the green wall paper and white wainscoting.
Description of Work: I had remodeling of a home office completed. By Cinski Interiors. The room required an over sized closet removed. A new smaller closet built. (See picture). New window casing installed. New base board installed. And, crown molding installed.

Brian and his wife were professional, and easy to deal with. They made sure that the work was done exactly as we wanted it and that we were happy with the results. He paid great attention to detail and made sure that the trim work was done perfectly. They also cleaned up after their work and left the house in great condition. They are trustworthy and I was comfortable leaving them at my home alone to get the work done. The only negative - he quoted me sight unseen and estimated it to be a 2 day job. It ended up taking about 3.5 days, so the bill was a bit more than I anticipated. But again, they worked hard the whole time and left beautiful results.

I have been renovating a house for some time, and work takes me out of town frequently. So I hired Brian Cinski to perform some of the finish carpentry/trim work. I was very comfortable leaving him alone in our house to perform the work. The quality of the work was very high. He was easy to schedule - how quickly he can get to you will depend on his current commitments. Once he started the work, he continued until he was done. He didn't start, then leave to do another job. Also important for such work in an otherwise finished house, he is very neat and cleans up every day. I highly recommend Brian.

Brian did an excellent job on the project. I am a construction professional and have been doing all of the woodwork on our 1910 house - a gut and renovate project. However, I needed help to push the project along in its finishing steps. It took him about five weeks to perform the work, which was about what he thought he would need. Once he started, he worked steadily until the job was done. There were only a couple times he took time to work on another project, and that was for only a few hours. So once he starts, he works until he is done. He is very skilled at his work. I strongly recommend him for any finish carpentry work you may have. And from reading his other reviews, it looks like he does more than just finish carpentry. He is trustworthy, conscientious, and dependable. He had access to our house regardless of whether we were home or not. This is a big leap for many people - trusting someone in your house when you're not home. Brian is a good person to trust with access to your house.

brain came recommended by a carpenter friend whom i asked if he would take a look at my project. once he saw what i wanted, he said brian cinski was the person i needed to talk to about designing and installing an arts and crafts fireplace and bookshelf built in for our living room. after meeting and showing some examples of what we thought, brian showed us his idea and we agreed to proceed. he was extremely detailed and prompt with his work, and left nothing to chance. his craftsmanship and attention to detail was amazing and the end product was fantastic. i would highly recommend brian to anyone looking for custom woodworking and creating a showpiece for their home.
Description of Work: met for consultation, received cost estimate and design idea, proceeded to detailed drawing and measurements, reviewed stain samples and final drawings. precision installation- best i've ever seen. very neat and organized work place- work done while house was occupied with minimal interruption- fantastic results---one would think it was part of the original house. couldn't be more pleased with the end result.

The project was large and went well. Brian's piece was just part of a larger project, and I never had to worry about his piece of it. I would say the the finish carpentry (like creating the custom radiator covers and doing any kind of woodwork installation) are his strong suit because he really is an artisan. He does the drywall and demolition and other parts of the job and he does it well, but he is really an outstanding woodworker. He is at your doorstep when he says he is going to be there and is completely honest and reliable. He is a meticulous recordkeeper so you know exactly what he is charging you for (he provides a detailed invoice without you having to ask). The quality of his work is outstanding (can't emphasize this enough) and he is a consumate professional. He is also a really nice guy and has a good sense of humor too. I gave him an A on price, but he is not the cheapest person you will find to do this work. I gave him an A because you get outstanding quality for the price you pay. If you want B quality, I'm sure you can find someone with a lower price.
Description of Work: Brian has done a lot of work for us. This is the third house of ours that he's worked on. In our previous homes, he did some finish carpentry on a kitchen we were remodeling, and he did custom radiator covers. This time, in our new but old house, he did some major remodeling to help us reconfigure our kitchen using the existing cabinetry. He also built and/or rebuilt several closets. For the kitchen work, he removed bulkheads, did some other demolition, patched or drywalled, and then re-hung the cabinets.
