CHUCK'S LANDSCAPING/CREATIVE CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

The job started in September 2007 and went reasonably well with normal "contractor delays and excuses" through the grading, retaining wall installation and pouring of concrete. The problems started with wrong water drainage direction of one carport and the brick overlay on newly poured steps. The drainage caused water to flow back toward the house instead of away from it.The mortar joints were not filled or uniform in width, they had to be repacked several times. The Elete Crete overlay was supposed to start in Oct 07, then it was to start in May 08 it actually started late June 08. It was poorly planned and done in a hurried fashion, not following Elete Crete "precise instructions". A large area had to be ground off with the resultant large quantity of dust all over the house , bushes, trees, and into the house! The contract was completed August 26 with last details to be cleaned up. Special warranty and guarantees were required for final payment .

I WAITED 3 MONTHS. FINALLY AFTER CALLING EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK THEY CAME. THEY DID AN OKAY JOB, BUT WHEN CALLED ABOUT A COUPLE OF BAD SPOTS, PLUS WANTING ANOTHER SEAL COAT APPLIED, AT MY EXPENSE, THEY NEVER RESPONDED. I LIKE THE OVERALL LOOK, BUT THEY ARE NOT A VERY RESPONSIVE COMPANY. LEFT ASPHALT DRIVEWAY A MESS, BUT WERE CAREFUL WITH NEW LANDSCAPING IN FRONT.
