WONDERFUL! I met Kelsey in the office when I dropped by. She's amazing her knowledge of the process what will be needed (sink, faucet etc) even names of people who could help complete the project. every suggestion she gave me I loved and the results were better than I dreamed! The installers removed the old counters and took them to an area that wasn't convenient! That saved my husband & I from moving them THANKS GUYS Job was done in a timely manner and area was clean when they left. I would definitely recommend Choice!!

As a 15 years veteran tile, marble and granite installer, I have seen it all when it comes to counter tops and custom granite/marble fabrication. Our company may fabricate smaller projects, but when it comes time to call the professional's for our large projects Choice granite & marble is our first and only call. We have been threw many fabricators over the years and have never had a company go above and beyond to meet our needs. Our most recent project was a large kitchen with over 4k in granite. Choice was on time "as usual" and had the templates made in a very short amount of time considering the size of the project. We where given an estimated finish date for the fabrication and an estimated install date. The granite was finished on the estimated date but the install date needed to be changed due to our not being ready yet. Choice was able to adjust there busy schedule to accommodate our install delay just as we needed. On the day of install, once again they showed up on time and performed the installation above my standards as a professional in this field. This is just one of the countless template, fab, and installs Choice granite & marble has done for me over the years. As typical with any natural stone, there are sometimes issues that occur we have no control over such as chipping, breaking and un-uniform color in the material. I have yet to see there skilled technicians not be able to handle these such issues with the upmost quality and skill level. Choice granite & marble ranks #1 in our list of fabricators when it come to our custom installs. Not only because they are very good at what they do but also because they are the best at handling an issue if one ever occurs. We will continue to use Choice Granite & Marble as our first choice in our Granite & Marble fabrication.

We used Choice Granite and Marble for our kitchen and bath. They were late getting started and did substandard installation. When we complained about the way it looked we were told they did not have enough material to do any rework. Then we were told that if we decided to have anything reworked we would have to purchase a new slab of material, ($1,200.00), that may not match. They are not pleasant to deal with. "Be Warned"

[Member Name Removed] My apology for the experience, I am not sure why you are dissatisfied. The QC document used at job completion was signed by you and the installer. I did review it and everything was noted as acceptable. If memory serves me correctly we also had the builder QC inspect the jobsite and they concurred it was done correctly. You are welcome to contact us and we can identify how to remedy the situation or make sure we correct anything wrong in our process. We do over 500 installations per year and 99% of our customers are satisfied. By your signature it was our understanding you were satisfied with the work.

March 21, 2014 - Initial install of granite. After the granite was installed we noticed there was a crack in the granite by the corner of the sink. The crack went about 1/4 of the way down thru the granite. Also noticed the one slab wasn't glued on tight, there was a Sharpie mark where the granite ended and the piece of granite that went behind the stove wasn't flush with the adjoining slabs. Finally, none of the granite slabs had shims under them for support. April 11, 2014 - Choice sent two new guys out to examine the problems and see what can be done. IF the granite wasn't cracked it would be possible to fix the other three problems. However, a new slab for the sink would have to be cut. Sometime in early May Choice called and said they had another slab of the granite we liked from the same lot. Could we come out and see if it is acceptable. My wife and I went out to look at it and part of it was nice but the other half of the slab was ugly. So we used masting tape to point out the area we liked and asked them to use it. May 24, 2014 - Choice showed up with the new slab using the area we requested. However, it was cut wrong. The one side was a little short so that the cabinet it was sitting on would show. I told them the workmanship was unacceptable. This was really tough because I really love the granite we picked out. I talked to the company and told them I was not happy and wanted it fixed. They gave me three options: 1) Go find another slab and they will cut it. 2) Use the remaining piece of the slab. 3) Put a backsplash around the edges to cover the gap. 1) So, I - the customer - went around to various dealers to find something acceptable. I even went to their other location in Canonsburg where they had a nice - not great - slab of Blue Flower. i really didn't want it but would settle for it. It was on sale so it was actually cheaper than the granite we initially bought. They balked at that even though they said to go out and find something. 2) The remaining piece of the slab is ugly. The colors are off from the rest of the kitchen. As the customer; I don't want that piece. 3) The problem isn't that the granite is too short by the wall. It is too short on the sides. I would have to put a back splash on a wood surround for the refrigerator. The gap is either going to be next to the refrigerator or next to the stove. Plus, I don't really want a back splash because I want to use ceramic tile. I didn't ask Choice for Kitchen design ideas. A back splash would ruin the design I have for the ceramic. Note: I have TWO kitchens. I had the other kitchen done by Troy who did a great job. (See review). I went to them first but they didn't have the color I wanted so I went looking and found the perfect color at Choice. I mention this because I know what to expect when getting granite installed. Thought I would give Choice a chance. They have used up their three chances
Description of Work: Created a template and cut granite. I selected the color of granite. I picked out the areas of the granite where the various templates would go on the slab. They cut the granite using the templates.

[Member Name Removed], We appreciate your comments however there are two sides to this story. The company made numerous attempts to satisfy the customer but the customer would not honor the contract they signed. CGM had material we wanted to utilize from his same slab, for which he refused. The credit card company agreed with the company position that the customer request was unreasonable. After the credit card company sided with our company the customer made a recommendation to have us finish the job. We accepted that recommendation and finished the job. For reference the customer signed off on the QC close out documents not once (first time) but also the second time. You are welcome to contact us, we are willing to do something else to satisfy your requirements (provided your original slab material still available)

I did not have a good experience with Choice Granite and Marble LLC. They were late coming out to do the measurements. Once they came out, they said they would be back to install them in two weeks. They came back in three weeks, and had cut one piece backwards, so none of the countertop could be installed at that time. They said they would come back with the correct piece in a couple of weeks, but it took a month and a half for them to come back. We told them we wanted the work done in time for a large gathering we were having, and they guaranteed that the work would be done in time. But because they cut the piece wrong, they were not able to get it ready in time for the gathering. We have an island in the center of our kitchen, which was perfectly level. But they put shims on one side, and it wasn't level anymore. I showed him how a pencil rolls towards where the shims are, and he agreed it wasn't level. They had to tear it back up, take out the shims and redo it. It was just garbage work. Some of the employees showed up dressed unprofessionally. They had low pants with their underwear hanging out. There was one guy on the crew who seemed to know what he was doing, but the rest of them had no clue. They told me they were going to give me a price adjustment, they did, but less than what was acceptable. I ended up just paying them and walking away. I told them they would never get any business from me again.

the customer order was placed on 7/13/13. we did template on 7/17 and install on 8/813. Depending on time of year this is a typical lead time of. 3 weeks. we do remember the complaint about how one of the employee was dressed. We addressed this issue for future customers. We have a complete QC document for this customer. In general once that is signed the job is completed. not sure i understand why we offer a discount for one employees pants. the customer did agree to the timeline in his contract. Cabinets are always the main issue and leveling of those cabinets. our contract indicates this is a customer responsibility. in this case an unlevel cabinet did cause us to take extra time to complete to get it right. We don't offer a discount when this happens. We hope customers understand that CGM does 500 installs per year. Since the company was formed we have done 2500+ kitchens. A few poor evaluations on this site are not indicative of your experience or that of 99% of our customers. if you have questions on this review or CGM please contact us. We can give you customer phone numbers that are very satisfied

I called Choice three times on three consecutive days for a bid on my marble island countertop. Each time I called I was told that they would call me right back with an estimate, and each time they never called back. This place is very unprofessional.

Dear Sir, The email was sent in response to your review of my business on Angie's List. I am the owner of the business so I personally did the investigation on your complaint. Unfortunately my two sales ladies do not remember your name as a quote contact. One of our sales women indicated a customer may have called looking for square foot pricing on a marble island countertop. Unfortunately we do not provide square footage pricing only finished countertop pricing. This particular customer was requested to provide exact dimensions on the island. This may or may not have been for you. To date we haven't received those dimensions. Obviously we are not in the business of turning away customers. If we did a poor job offering you pricing on this project I will gladly get involved and help you directly. CGM has a terrific reputation for quality and customer service. I can't say what exactly happened for this incident but you are welcome to contact me directly. Sincerely, David M. Griffith - Owner

We had a good experience with Phil at Choice Granite. We were sent to a separate supplier to pick our granite for the kitchen and then used his yard remnants for our bathroom and laundry room selections. Pricing is difficult to compare, but it seemed competitive and there was no high pressure. He was very accomodating during our selection process and we ended up with a great looking finished product. Overall, quite happy with the experience, but the shop / showroom experience could certainly be improved -- very steep steps, cluttered office, etc. I believe they are working on improving that part of the business.
