+ -1 moreFantastic quality, attention to detail, very reasonable cost. Steve's attention to detail is second-to-none. If a task turns out to be more challenging than first reckoned (e.g. a paint coat doesn't cover too well), he treats it as a challenge to be overcome, not a hassle. Very pleasant to chat with, as well. Prior to this recent job (mostly outdoors: garage trim, front door, fake shutters, fascia), Steve painted much of the house's interior about 5 years ago. I will certainly employ his services for all future painting jobs, and continue to recommend him to others.

+ 2 moreThe quality of work is impeccable, we are so pleased. Steve's efforts make the two rooms appear brand new. He took the time to fully reclaim and restore the detail of our old home--a quality that, unfortunately, is a rarity. He is the only paitner we will use for our home.
Description of Work: Our home was built in 1912. We wanted someone with the ability to safely remove all the lead-based paint commonly found in a 100+ year old home as well as restore the details of the extensive woodwork around the baseboards, door frames and entryways. Our walls & ceilings are made of plaster and required a skim coat to smooth out their surfaces. We were met with a professional, knowledgeable, non-smoking painter. Steve walked us through every aspect of the lead-removal & refinishing process. His bid was quickly received and very detailed, and he respected our concerns for the lead paint. The bid was for our foyer (to strip all wood trim--baseboards, 2 door frames, 1 open entryway into our dining room) and breezeway connecting our foyer & kitchen (2 door frames, 2 entryways). Due to a bad experience in the past, we always verify the insurance coverage of various service companies, he was fully insured. We were very impressed with his prompt nature and professionalism.
