Hiring a contractor to work on your home is a roll of the dice these days. You never know who you can trust or who will do quality work and treat your property like their own. Recently I have been on the bad end of one of these dishonest bad contractors. I should of went with my gut but I didn’t and paid a price. I learned a lot from that experience as well as the law under the Home Consumer Protection Act (HCPA), and I recommend that you do your research from top to bottom. With that said, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CL FREY as a reputable, honest, caring and professional contractor. My neighbor had CL FREY sign in their yard so I started my research, and I couldn’t find a single negative review, every review was 5 stars! CL FREY also follows the federal and state laws defined under the HCPA. I went to their webpage and submitted my request for a quote on a Sunday to replace the roof and two skylights. On Monday, we received a call back and scheduled my appointment. The owner came to my house and went through EVERYTHING about the job, materials, and time that it would take to complete. Now we all have certain feelings when we meet people for the first time. I immediately knew I wanted to hire CL FREY and that I wasn’t going to have that horrid experience I had just a month ago. Whenever we spoke to the office or owner, we felt like they were our friends. So refreshing! The day before the dumpster was set to arrive and be placed in my driveway, I had a knock at the door. It was the owner and his foreman asking me if I need help moving my trailer. I was taken back by this as it was so unexpected. This was also my introduction to the foreman. My gut feeling again after the introduction was, “we made the right decision hiring CL FREY!” The day arrives for work to begin. It wasn’t the best morning since it was drizzling and cold, but the crew showed up at the exact time they said they would be here. Due to the weather they had to wait it out for about an hour or so before they could start. I couldn’t believe how fast they had the old roof off and were starting to install the new roof. I mean these guys didn’t hold back and knocked it out of the park. When they finished, the foreman knocked on my door and said that they were done and that he was doing his final walk through. He was making sure no trash was left anywhere. Even the tiniest piece of old shingle, plastic, or paper. I think my yard was cleaner after they left then before they started work at my house! During the skylight installation, the foreman showed me and explained that there was a gap inside from the drywall to frame of the new skylights. I didn’t order custom skylights, so this is common to have this gap. He explained what I could do to for the inside to cover it up. Even though this wasn’t their responsibility to correct, the owner and foreman came back and put up the molding for me. They were not going to let me be unhappy at all. This here says a lot about their character as a people and professionalism as a company. I want to THANK them for their extra mile they went for me. The skylights look great!!! I think I typed too much so I will end with this, if you want a good quality job with an honest reputable, caring, professional company, HIRE CL FREY AND I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!

Jerry and his guys were amazing. We paid what was quoted, no games or gimmicks, and the price was reasonable. They were very nice, worked hard and were in and out in one day without any mess left behind. The roof looks wonderful. I would totally recommend them!!!

Jerry, Trilby and all of the guys were amazing. High quality workmanship from a very professional team. They were always on time and stayed late to get the job done. I never felt uncomfortable about leaving my house unlocked. My husband and I went away for a long holiday weekend and we came home to Brett and Greg still working hard. WONDERFUL, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! We couldn’t be happier with the service and workmanship we received from Jerry, Tribly, and their work crews. We needed work done after hail damage and had received information from other companies that left us a bit unsettled and leery. A friend recommended CL Frey and I gave them a call. Tribly called me back right away and we set up an appointment. Jerry and Trilby both came out to meet us, very nice people! Jerry took his time explaining everything in detail, answered all my questions, and gave us time to look things over. What a breath of fresh air! We decided to go with them and they worked with us and our insurance company to get things done quickly (we were having interior leaking due to the hail damage and needed things done sooner than later). They kept in contact with us during the whole process, communicating each step of the way and notifying us of any changes to the schedule. Jerry and Trilby are very honest, reliable, hard working people and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and their team. Job very well done! So thankful!!!

Met with the owner, Jerry, to go over the estimate for a new roof. Jerry was great to work with. He was very detailed about how the work would be performed, the products that would be used and his price was very reasonable. We set up a date and the new roof was installed a week later. I met his crew at the site at 8:00am that morning. They were already there and ready to get started. They worked steady and the job was completed before 2:00pm. They were very professional, did a great job of cleaning up and left nothing behind. The roof looks great. Jerry even emailed me some photos of the roof. I would highly recommend C L Frey Construction to anyone who needs a new roof.

I recently acquired a new roof by C L Frey and I am completely satisfied with their workmanship. The owner, Jerry, is professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. After receiving several other estimates, he was the most reasonable and that was the final cost...no hidden charges. He was mostly available by phone...if not, he would call back within 5 minutes. Jerry and his team were phenomenal start to finish! From the estimate, to answering the numerous questions my husband and I both had, ensuring we were well aware of the timing of when the job which starts how long it would take and when it would be finished, and the actual completion of the roof replacement! They were honest and transparent in the pricing. They were not the cheapest estimate, but you pay for quality and that is what you get with this company!

I would definitely recommend C.L. Frey Construction. We had them put in a finished basement and powder room and are very pleased with how it turned out. After constant rain for three days, a steady leak in our roof prompted an immediate search for roofing contractors. Utilizing Home Advisor/Angie’s List and the Better Business Bureau, we contacted three in order to compare various pricing estimates. With the numerous options available in material and services, we had to determine what the best match would be for our needs. Many lengthy discussions occurred before we selected the contractor we felt was the right choice for our project. We chose C. L. Frey to complete our roofing project. From the opening presentation until the completion of the project, we were thoroughly satisfied with our choice. During the presentation, my wife and I both felt relaxed and at ease while listening to the proposed plan to correct our current situation. Mr. Frey provided proof of certification, licensing and BBB A+ rating. The documents were in full color with a sleeve protector which added a clean finished appearance. While discussing the materials and services, Mr. Frey allowed us to ask several questions. He answered all the questions we asked as well as explained the cause behind each answer. Mr. Frey entertained various options or concepts that we had mentioned instead of simply saying “No”. Once we selected C. L. Frey for our roofing project, Mr. Frey returned to explain the contract in detail so that there would be no misunderstanding. Mr. Frey kept us informed as to when materials were being delivered and how soon his crew would arrive thereafter. Mr. Frey and his crew worked diligently through the day in order to tear off and replace the roof in one long session. If anything unusual occurred, Mr. Frey contacted my wife or I to explain what was taking place and why it was necessary. After completing the roof, the crew meticulously scoured the perimeter of the house to insure that all the remnants of the prior roof materials were picked up and placed inside the dumpster. Lastly, Mr. Frey began to do a final inspection before he would consider the project finished. My wife and I admired the new roof from across the street and we were thrilled with the results. We cannot say enough about the services provided by C. L. Frey. Mr. Frey and his crew were friendly, courteous, prompt, hard-working, and determined to satisfy the homeowner, not to mention the attention to detail to secure the overall success of this project. From the start, jerry was great to deal with. He provided me with roofing samples of the GAF certified materials. Explained the contract in detail, He was honest, upfront and a man of his word. He communicated everything with me daily during the replacement of my roof. He stopped by the job site frequently to make sure things were going as planned. He saw some problem areas of my roof for leaks and addressed them professionally and personally himself- getting his tools out and getting dirty making sure the job is done right! I respect a boss who grinds with the crew. I would recommend CL Frey to family and friends.

Jerry and his team did an amazing job of building new steps off of my deck. It did not have steps down into the yard previously, so they cut out a section and built exceptionally sturdy steps that matched the rest of the deck. Jerry is a delight to work with, highly communicative, honest, and fast (both with quotes and with the actual work). I plan to hire CL Construction again for several other projects around my home.

They were great! We were in a pinch that time of the year. They got to us in about 2 weeks, and the price was extremely reasonable. It only took them about 8 hours to complete the job. There were 4 of them, and it looks great!
