We have been very pleased with the equipment, support, and price of the water conditioner and injection system that we purchased from Budget Water. If you are willing to do some of the assembly and installation work yourself (or can arrange for someone to do it), you can save a great deal of money. We had a water conditioner system that was no longer working and needed to be replaced. I called Budget Water, and was invited to bring in a water sample for free testing. The offices are nearby so I took in a sample, received the results, and I asked if I could ask someone some questions about the equipment they sell. A person there spent about 20 minutes answering all my questions, and there was no sales pressure whatsoever. We did decide to order a water conditioner unit and chemical injection system. The equipment arrived in just a few days. After placing the order we received links to online video tutorials which were clear and helpful. This company is using an interesting business concept that provides quality equipment and information for customers who are willing to do part of the work of assembly and installation themselves, and in doing so can save a substantial amount of money. The video tutorials were straightforward and clear, and we also called the provided tech support number twice with specific questions. The tech support was friendly and informative. A small amount of plumbing was involved and the use of Shark Bite fittings made that part much easier for us non-plumbers. Our water quality is noticeably better, and we have not had any problems.

My experience with them started with their online chat system, which was slow and awkward to use. The chat tech suggested that I call them for better service and I did that. The phone tech took some time to understand my water issues and asked me to do a well flow test per their procedure, which I did, and then he asked me to send the flow test results and water quality lab test results to them so that a more experienced person could review the information and determine how to treat the water. I was totally unprepared for the response that I got via email. Instead of stating how they might be able to help or asking for more information, "Dallas K" was totally unprofessional and belittled me and anyone that I might have talked to before contacting them. He obviously did not take the time to understand what I wanted to do and showed no inclination to do so ever, but instead he went into a rant about how the phone tech was going to be assigned to "extensive retraining". The phone tech was very courteous and helpful to the extent that he could, and he made it clear that he was not knowledgeable in the area in which I was looking for help. I am working on difficult water issues and have talked to several water treatment companies and I did not see where the phone tech did anything wrong. "Dallas K", however, is probably the rudest, most egotistical and condescending business person I have ever encountered in my 68 years on this planet. I responded to him and told him that I thought the phone tech acted appropriately and that I found his response to be offensive. I also suggested that he might need to take a anger management training instead of assigning the phone tech to "extensive retraining". You can imagine his response to that! In retrospect I should have had a clue that something like this might happen by taking another look at their web site. It is full of criticism of other companies, but very short on information about their products. They don't provide any address other than a post office box in Pittsburgh, PA so there's another red flag. I also looked at Better Business Bureau reviews and saw additional instances where customers spoke of receiving scathing letters from this company after they made complaints about products and services. To sum up, I definitely recommend that people looking for solutions to their water quality issues avoid this company.
