BRUCE SCHMIDT MOVING

Contacted Bruce Schmidt for small moving job. Bruce was very professional and easy to work with--answered or returned calls promptly, gave a reasonable and accurate bid, was able to perform the move within a few days of initial call. The three man moving crew arrived promptly, were very courteous and did an excellent job. The move was one room of furniture from an apartment to a house. They also moved furniture from the apartment to the outside for trash pickup. At the house they had a lot of steps both outside and inside to navigate. They also moved a large piece of furniture that we had had difficulty getting up the steps out of the house for us without any apparent problems. They completed the job within the estimated time frame and bid price. I would definitely call Bruce Schmidt for any future moving needs.

The entire service was a pleasant surprise. I did not expect how much better the pricing would be compared to the big name movers. I learned that Bruce Schmidt is not small time. He carefully determines what will be needed (size of pieces, etc) and has available all kinds of boxes (wardrobe, etc). He dermines the best combination of man-hours to get the customer the best price. He does not waste hours. His workers were professional and nice. From quotes I had gotten from the larger chain movers I think they would have cost double what Bruce charged and my small time move would have gotten big-move pricing. Bruce was recommended to us and I pass on that recommendation. You will be making a good choice.

I contacted 4 movers to inquire about pricing for moving a bar from one home to another. 1 mover wanted $160 and that was only for manpower; I needed to provide a truck. 2 companies quoted nearly $400 to move ONE PIECE of furniture. This company not only called me back very shortly after I emailed them, they were able to arrange the job very quickly as we are on a deadline. I called on Thursday, July 3rd; the move took place Monday, July 7th. The movers called 40 mins before arrival (I was told to expect this from the owner). They arrived I swear on the minute, and they were very quick/professional. Their efficiency allowed for affordable costs. I paid them cash, and the cost was even a few dollars less than original quote (quote was $137; I paid $131). That screams HONESTY to me. Best Punctual Service both with scheduling and the actual move, honest prices, and MOST AFFORDABLE of the movers I contacted. I would definitely use them again.

The three men were polite, efficient and all three accompanied every wish we had regarding the boxes and other articles we had moved. I will be moving the rest of my 'stuff' once my house is sold and I will definitely use Bruce Schmidt Moving again--they were absolutely wonderful. The job went very well. I called Bruce with the list of items to be moved. He got back to me quickly with a price and we set a date. His men were exactly on time and courteous. They moved the items from a one story ranch house to a second floor apartment. One of the items, a one piece china cabinet was very large and if not for the expertise of the movers, it would not have been able to make it through a door, around a corner and up the steps to the second floor. They were very careful with all the items and the walls of the buildings. As a bonus, even with the movers having to figure out how to get the china cabinet up to the second floor, the total cost came in below the estimate.

Bruce Schmidt was very friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful to work with!! His price was far less than many of the moving companies I contacted. He sent out a checklist for me to indicate the items I would be moving, and then called the day before the move to go over the list and confirm the final move. From my first contact up to the moving day, he encouraged me to call with any questions I had, and always returned my calls. It was a real pleasure to work with him! John, Brandon, Josh, and Mike were FANTASTIC!!! We loved the job they did!! They moved quickly and not a single item was damaged or even nicked. Some of the furniture pieces were large and heavy, but they moved them with ease. When the trucks were unloaded, they asked if there was anything else they could help with, and unloaded our two cars which were packed with other items -- what a great bunch of guys!! I would not hesitate to contact Bruce Schmidt Moving -- in fact -- they'd be the only one's I'd contact to do any moving in the future!

We are thrilled with the time we had with Bruce Schmidt Moving. Firstly, we were searching somewhat last minute, and they were able to schedule us within a few weeks of us calling them for an appointment. Secondly, they were extremely efficient and professional. They were able to fit our entire apartment into their truck and one van and thus only take one trip to the new house, which was surprising and impressive. Our new house is at the end of a blind alley with a steep grade hill and their truck was bottoming out and could not make it up the hill, so they ferried things up in the van. Thirdly, their attitude was very friendly and professional. They were pleasant to deal with, didn't complain even when the truck couldn't make it all the way to the house and they needed to improvise (nobody's fault and not under anybody's control how the hill is shaped, but I could certainly see someone complaining about it regardless)., and were also conscientious about our belongings. As far as we have been able to see, nothing was damaged. The price was not notably inexpensive, but seemed completely fair and reasonable. Came in somewhat over the estimated price, but that was largely due to needing to take longer since the truck could not pull up directly to our house. Overall, we were thrilled with their service, and it resulted in the least stressful moving experience that I have ever had.

Extraordinary experience! This about sums up my interaction with Bruce and his workers. They were efficient, polite, experienced . hard working and reliable. I am very particular in selecting the right person for the righ job and used Angies List exclusively to find the right mover. After narrowing down the list to three candiates, it didn't take me very long to select Bruce for the job. He was very prompt in returning my phone calls and comprehensive in ensuring he understood the parameters of the job. This resulted in an accurate job estimate for his services that ultimately came in below what was quoted. I recommend Bruce and his workers without reservation. Finding the right mover who is responsible and diligent can be a daunting task. However, wroking with Bruce and his company is a no-brainer for guaranteed satistaction.

Bruce's team showed up on time and moved everything faster than estimated. The guys were very efficient and polite.

I spoke with Bruce based on a recommendation from friends. He was professional, clear about cost and range of services and was able to accomodate my move. We did not move far, however, quotes from other places were double and triple Bruces price.

I called several moving companies for this job before I found Mr. Schmidt's company. The other moving companies were primarily for large moving jobs and had a minimum price, which was not a good fit for us as we were only moving one desk. Then one of the moving companies suggested Mr. Schmidt as he does smaller jobs. The price Mr. Schmidt quoted was reasonable and lower than the minimum price set by the other moving companies. I found Mr. Schmidt to be professional and responsive over the phone when discussing the job. He was able to fit us in the same day I called. He sent a four-man crew. The desk was extremely heavy and our measurements were off so it didn't fit where we originally planned to place it, but the crew was exhaustive in their efforts to try to place the desk where we wanted it to go. The crew was very considerate and put down drop cloths to protect the floor and worked very efficiently. Overall, we thought the team was very polite, professional, and worked well together. I would definitely recommend them for any moving job and would use them again.

The job went very smoothly. Because of the rain the crew was a little late but only a few minutes. They were friendly, polite, and very efficient. They moved a heavy armoir (wardrobe) from street level up to first floor and farther up to second floor. What ever they needed to move out of their way, they replaced carefully afterwards. There were no surprises, no glitches, not even a scratch to the banister. We are very pleased and will not hesitat to call Bruce again in the future.

First of all, Bruce was very professional on the phone and always got back to me within the day of my calling. He requested a detailed list of what needed to be packed and moved and then provided a very detailed price estimate. The crew was punctual, professional, friendly, and patient. I have two small children and they were very patient with having the kids around. They packed everything very carefully and brought any defects to my attention so I knew they were there before the move. It was when I was unpacking that I was able to see how very carefully they wrapped everything. During the move they asked for direction about where I wanted everything. I felt like it was such a hard job, but they never complained and were so upbeat the whole time. They just kept going the extra mile. Bruce and the crew were also so nice about driving all over town to pick up these extra items. I was worried it was a crazy request, but they never made me feel that way and seemed more than happy to help. I did get pizza for lunch for two of the days. Bruce made it clear this wasn't expected and the crew was very courteous about it. Overall, this was such a great, low-stress experience. Also, they were much less expensive than any other company I contacted. I would recommend them to anyone.

When the moving crew arrived at the storage unit near our home, they placed the furniture and boxes in the unit haphazardly. They did not honor my requests for placement of various items to provide us with easier access.

They were very careful moving things. Very happy with their service and prices.

Great move from start to finish. Bruce was very responsive from the first phone call and seemed to be very organized. The guys showed up on time, were friendly and courteous, and moved all the furniture in less time than scheduled. They also moved a very heavy, old upright piano and the extra charge was not unreasonable. Nothing was damaged and the price was fair (even came in under budget). I would definitely use them again.

He was excellent at scheduling and accommodating our schedule. He was knowledgeable about access and staging of trucks in the two locations, the one we were moving to and from. All of his crew was polite and professional and really smart. They made sure nothing was damaged and everything was put where it was supposed to be.

I believe he is perfect. He does a great job. He is excellent to work with. He is professional and accommodating. They treat everything with care.

We were very pleased with the service from start to finish. Bruce spent quite a bit of time via phone asking questions and establishing exactly what our needs were. He faxed us an inventory list which we completed and faxed back. We were out of town for awhile and he was very good at contacting us to refine all the details. They ( 4 men) arrived on time and worked a solid seven hours with no breaks. The were polite, pleasant and professional - great guys. They worked well as a team and worked carefully - we had no breakages and no furniture knicks or damage to any paintwork etc. They removed and replaced doors as needed to get larger pieces out/in to each house or room. They were careful to ask where we wanted everything placed and nothing ended up in the wrong place. It rained some of the time, but they were careful and because of all the blankets and cardboard they laid ahead of time, we had no stained carpets etc. The whole move was so much less stressful than we anticipated. We highly recommend Bruce and his men and would not hesitate to use them again.

Mr. Schmidt helped me make arrangements with my friend who was giving me a piano. The price was less than others I had contacted and as it was necessary to get the piano within a short period of time, this was an added bonus. Mr. Schmidt and his movers were courteous and appeared to use all the ramps and boards necessary to move the piano in a short period of time and the instrument was placed in services y home with little ado and in good shape. I would recommend his company to others and would use his myself in the future.

Called ahead of time and showed up as agreed. Careful of furnature and home too. Estimated price was spot on. Will be using them again once we sell the house.

Bruce did a great job from start to finish. He spent a good bit of time with me on the phone asking questions, documenting my needs, and being very careful to quote me an exact price. He followed up with me multiple times to resolve questions and I felt very confident on the day of the move that everything would go smoothly. The (four) men that moved me were a family and they worked together very effectively. They were polite and careful and my move went through without any problems or damages. It was raining during part of the move and during the last hour it began snowing. The guys were professional throughout and worked we me the whole time - asking how I wanted things done and where pieces should go. They did a great job with my many art pieces and pottery and everything arrived intact. We started at about 10:00 and finished at around 6:00. It would have been nicer to get an earlier start, but overall the day went as planned. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone.

I called and scheduled a move date about one week from my call. Bruce faxed an inventory sheet that I filled out and faxed back. He then provided an estimate over the phone based on what I had listed (the actual cost ended up being less). Before the actual move we spoke on the phone and updated the inventory. On the moving day Bruce called to let me know the crew would be a few minutes late. I think the complete move took about 5 hours (the houses are 6.5 miles apart). The crew put down blankets and were careful about moving items without damage. They moved some items to different rooms when I changed my mind about placement. They helped with assembly of a desk that I had disassembled myself. Having four people allowed them to move some very heavy and large items, such as a bed, that I would have had to disassemble if I had moved myself. The only thing I can think of that would have made the process easier would be if the inventory could be created and submitted electronically. Fax is not always convenient (although I understand regular mail is also an option if the time frame allows it). It also felt it was not clear how to express all the items I needed to move and their locations using the inventory sheet.

They were excellent, very accomodating, respectful, and actually helped re-plug in some of my tv/technology-related items. They arrived on time as well. The approximate cost is for two men for two hours, plus an additional traveling fee. I'm happy with their services would recommend them to anybody.
