Description of Work: Brian installed a wireless network adapter in an old computer and reseated the RAM. Gave recommendations on a couple of DIY upgrades.

Description of Work: I've used Bladhaire several times and am always pleased with the service. I got a nasty virus that took over my computer. I called Bladhaire and Brian came out two hours later and removed the virus in under an hour.

Description of Work: Gave me a Q&A service to show me how to use a new operating system, modify jpg size, transfer and add folders, how to use Microsoft Picture It, downloaded IrfanView for me,. Control F to search. He spent about an hour and charged me $50. I gave him $75 because of his helpfulness and promptness. I will certainly have him again.

Description of Work: The hardrive on my desktop crashed. Brian returned my call immediately, picked up the CPU (I live near him), picked up a new hd at bestbuy, and restored all my files from the crashed drive -- all for $200 (parts and labor). This is the second time I've used Brian (bladhaire). He really knows what he's doing and is very fair in pricinng. I highly recommend him.

 + -1 moreI made an appointment and took the laptop to his office (home). He worked on the problem for about 1.5 hours with me watching, hunting for the software elements I needed. I left at this point, and he called me later to come get the machine; the problem was fixed. He only charged me for a single hour of his time. The machine has performed saticfactorily since that time.
Description of Work: In general, I was getting error messages on my laptop (windows XP) requiring me to have ".NET" facilities, and I could not find out how to deal with this.

 + -1 moreHis name is Bryan Lang. I took my computer to him twice. He doesn’t come home to do service; we have to take it there. I took it once to fix a virus, and another time to get anti-virus software. He had paid attention to detail and gave me tips to take care of the computer. I felt like he went above and beyond the call of duty. I had a problem that called for a little extra attention. He fit me into his busy schedule. He is available and easy to get in touch with. We have to call him ahead of time, though.
Description of Work: I go to Bladhaire for computer repair.

Description of Work: my wife's laptop wouldn't boot. he came over (a half-hour late), diagnosed the problem as software related & had it up and running in 1-1/2 hours. in addition he networked the laptop to my new printer & explained how to send faxes on it. he also showed me how to transfer files from my wife's laptop to an external hard drive so i wouldn't have to install a larger hard drive to replace its 40gig hard drive. brad revived the laptop and expanded its capabilities, thereby saving me the bundle it'd cost for a new one. he also gave me useful advice on upgrading it if i chose to do so. he warrants his work for 30 days, so i'll be checking it for any problems that might arise.

 + -1 moreI was pleased and would recommend Brian's services. Brian called me back within 2 hours of my message to him. I brought my CPU over to his house (which he works out of) because I wanted to get my computer up and running ASAP. He confirmed that my power supply was not working, ordered the part from Dell (fronting the payment), and had it up and running the next day. The price - $50 -- seemed fair for the service. I also asked him a few questions about upgrading my hard drive. His advice worked out well and allowed me to do the job myself.
Description of Work: Brian tested and replaced the power supply on my Dell desktop. He also cleaned out the inside of my CPU box
