Bauer-Kiger Plumbing

I have used Bauer Plumbing many times in the 10 years since I've lived here starting back in 2014 when I had one of my copper pipes spring a leak, since then I've had them replace a 15 year old water heater, install a pressure reducing valve, and help replace the flush mechanism on an old toilet that I couldn't seem to fix on my own. I usually get a prompt return call from George and most times have someone come out the same day or next day. They are usually quick and I would say reasonably priced

Awful! Guys came out worked and said line was clear. We paid them $620.00 in cash. Several days later line backed up again. We called And called. No one responded for 5 days. In the meantime we had to get someone else in to fix the problem. I wrote the company a letter. No one responded. I called and George did call me back. I told him we were dissatisfied and wanted our money back. He said no way! The discussion continued and I said they did not respond in a timely manner and therefore we had to hire someone else. He was angry and said "I have to think on this" hung up on me, and has not gotten back to me. Approximately two weeks ago we had this conversation. I will never work with this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Although, in the beginning, they were responsive for questions/planning, the workers left tub hot & cold connection switched (right knob has hot water), and we were told that the gas line (lever connection) should have been capped off for safety during the range connection. All calls to remedy these conditions were then ignored -unbelievable.

I like them, I'd give them an "A". Well they aren't the cheapest certainly, but an "A". You can give them all "A's".

Went perfectly. Price was fair, George and his crew did the work carefully and neatly, finished exactly when they said. Cleaned up the yard and left the site looking great. Even did a few small things without charge. Can't say enough good things.

Mr.Bauer returned my call and gave me a estimate on the same day which was Friday March 24 The estimate was not as expensive as I thought it would be. They came to repair the line on Monday March 27th. The whole crew were very professional and prompt. They provided me with temporary heat until the gas line was repaired and checked on me several times throughout the day. I highly recommend Bauer Plumbing!

Noticed I had no hot water. Called Bauer and they were out in a few days. Did a great job and left the place cleaner than before they came. I haven't had any problems with the water heater since.

I called him (Pat Bauer) early Monday morning, Said he would come over to fix my sink faucet around 2pm. Never showed, never called. Called his answering service around 4:45pm to ask if he was coming to repair sink or not, answering service said they would get in touch with him and have him call me back. NO CALL. Nothing worse that waiting around for plumber and nobody shows. There are a thousand reasons for not showing up, but I can't think of one reason NOT TO CALL.

I had a clog at an occupied rental property. The plumber snaked the drain for 3 hours without fixing the problem or notifying me to warn me about cost. His first call to me was to tell me that he tried to clear the drain but I still had break in the line that would have to be repaired, and the cost for his failed attempt was $520. He wanted me to arrange to meet with the owner (George) to discuss options. I called to try to speak with George the next morning (Thursday). I left a message with the person that answered. I never heard back from George, so I called again late afternoon. He finally called me back after 6:00pm. I told him that i thought $520 was excessive given the fact that he didn't solve the problem. He said that it was 3 hours of labor at time and a half (which I was not told up front). He said he would cut me a break if I contracted him for the additional work. He said he would call me Saturday morning to arrange to meet me at the property. I never got a call. I called him two more times on Saturday and never got a call back from George. As of Monday morning I still had not heard back from George, so I called a different plumber to do the work. I finally got a voicemail from George later that week after the work was done. I did not call him back.

I contacted this plumber several times before he got back to me. He explained he was away, he said he "might" be able to do a particular date, but he would call me back and let me know. Again, I had to call him several times before he finally called me back and said "we have a date" I said "no we dont, you said you would call me back to confirm". we agreed on a date & time and he showed up exactly on time. As I was taking him through the job, I wanted to move some things around and he said "it aint like this is a million dollar house or anything". How insulting! He said he would call me back the next day with an estimate. Its 1 week later and he still hasnt called me back, even after leaving a message for him yesterday!!! There is no reason after 1 week he couldnt have reached out and said I didnt forget about you, Im working on it..... nothing! I dont care if he is a small Company with no secretary.... you put off clients week! & he cant say he was on vacation, because he had gone away 2 weeks before he came to do the estimate. & there is no excuse for his this aint no million dollar house excuse!!

This was a routine repair. It was done correctly, and even though it involved an extra half hour of labor due to the sloppy initial installation of pipe leading to the faucet, the price was reasonable. Bauer is my first choice for plumbing work, as my experiences with them, along with those of my family before me, have been very positive.

I sent them an email thru Angie's list yet never heard back from them. I ended up using another plumber.

This is a house that I have tenants living in, so he had to schedule with them. Which proved to be hard. The tenants cancelled on him several times and he still showed up when the tenants finally did. He was very patient and did a great job!!! He was great at getting in touch with me and keeping me up to date as to what was going on.

Mr Bauer and his staff were prompt and very helpful in diagnosing and repairing the leak. They were careful about how they accessed the problem, and cleaned up after themselves nicely. He also clearly explained what the problem was. The replacement materials are of top quality.

Pat and Felipe showed up after calling in the morning to confirm that I would be home. Pat is very professional and knows what he is doing it as he has been doing it for over 30 years. He and Felipe were both very professional and did a great job. The disconnected the old tank, replaced the shutoff valves, installed the new tank and left my basement cleaner than what it was when they first got here. I am very happy with the work that they did. Forty-five minutes after they left, I have piping hot water!

He never called back with a bid so we went with someone else.

Things went great. Very nice on the phone. I had to work and my son was home. The process was explained to both my son and my self every step of the way. They had to do a lot to get the drained cleaned out I am a new owner and the former residents dropped anything down the toilet. After a couple hours the drain was working great. They cleaned up the area they including sweeping and mopping and making sure all trash was gone. They were great would call them first next time I have issues,

The team did the job quickly and neatly. It was an emergency call, and they responded within two hours. Very happy with the result.

Called provider 1 actually had a contract with them --- after calling them 3 times they never called back. Even hung up on us! Called provider 2 Could not arrive until next week. Called provider. 3. Within 1/2 hour they called back and were here the next day. They were delightful. Pat and Doug went right to work and fixed all our plumbing problems. This is the second time I have utilized this plumber within the last 2 months. Previously, they replaced a leaky pipe in the basement and replaced a unit in my commode that was allowing the water to run continuously. On this visit, they removed the clog from my bathtub. Patrick, the plumber who was present at both visits, provides excellent information and completes all task diligently. Because of their responsiveness and efficiency, they are now the first plumbers I will contact for any plumbing mishaps that occur in my house.

I needed a plumber in a hurry! I made the appointment Friday and he came when he said he would snd fixed the faucet in no time flat. Doug was the plumber. He was so nice. He went out to buy the the part and came right back. He did a fantastic job. I even gave a hug! The price was great too! I would reccomed them to everyone.

Great, the bathroom looks fantastic, a total new appearance. This is not my first experience with Bauer Plumbing and I'm always impressed by the work done and the professionalism of all the employees I've encountered. And what a great cleanup job they do!

Arranged for another plumber to come out this afternoon but he failed to show up so I called George Bauer on Friday about 5:30 pm and got answering service. Owner George, responded back within 20 minutes, inquired about the problem and said he would check with his employees and call back. He said his plan was to get someone out tonight. George called back within 10 minutes telling me he would have a guy out within the hour. Within an hour a plumber arrived and the owner within minutes of him!!!! Problem fixed in vicinity of an hour and a half. They cleaned up afterwards. When they inquired which plumber stood us up today we told him and he did not bad mouth him at all he just said "aw he's a good guy, he must have been very busy." His respectfulness totally impressive. I highly recommend George Bauer to anyone who needs a plumber. He is extremely polite as was the younger employee who helped.

I woke up this morning to water in my basement courtesy of a frozen burst pipe. I called EIGHT plumbers to see if any had availability to look at it that same day. Half of the plumbers did not answer their phone or call me back after I left a message. The other half didn't have availability until the following Monday....and I really did not want to go 4 days without water if I could help it! I called George Bauer next and got his answering service. After explaining to the nice woman on the phone what my problem was, she told me that she would page George and mark it as "urgent", and that he would return my call soon. Sure enough, about 20 minutes later, George calls me back. I explained my situation and he said he could get someone out there same day, which was awesome! Around 1pm, one of his plumbers, Doug, called to tell me he was on his way. Doug was extremely nice and found the source of the leak quickly. It was in our addition and kind of hard to access, and he had to remove some plastic sheeting and plywood. Doug explained everything to me and asked permission before he moved anything. He was very patient answering all of my questions about what caused the leak, etc. (since I am a total novice at anything home maintenance related!) Doug fixed the pipe quickly and, at my request, even ran out to Home Depot to get some electric heat tape and re-insulated our pipes for us to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Because the leak had brought a lot of mud in with it, our basement was very muddy and both myself and Doug tracked mud on the kitchen floor while walking around (it was unavoidable). I told him it was no big deal since I had lots to clean up anyway (and I was tracking in just as mud as he was). However, when he was done fixing the pipe, he got on his hands and knees and wiped the mud off of my kitchen floor! Totally not necessary, but that level of care and consideration was so appreciated! And unrelated side note: he was nice to my dog -- again, not necessary, but really appreciated! As for price, I thought it was fair. Not cheap, but not too expensive. He was here for about 2.5 hours and it was $300 for labor, $25 for the service call, and $15.75 for materials. $340.75 total. So very happy at the responsiveness, patience, and competence of this company! They will most definitely be the first people I call next time I have a plumbing issue!
