Brian and his crew remodeled our master bath and we couldn't be happier with the finish product as usual . We are repeat customers and will stay that way

Owner Brian was on the job all day and every day to oversee all aspects of the project. Basement was turned into a great living space/game room. Well worth the money we spent and a job well done. Everything went great. The work was done fast and efficient. The workers gave their maximum effort and you can tell in the way our house looks. It is absolutely beautiful and I would recommend B and M to everyone who needs work done fast and actually done correctly! We are absolutely 100% satisfied!

B&M Home Improvements did a great job constructing a two-story addition on my house. They framed it out, sided it and put on a roof (I will complete the inside myself). I requested a couple of changes along the way. Brien, the owner, was very accommodative to the changes. There were a couple of days of rain, one especially heavy. The crew was very careful to tarp the partially constructed addition, due to the forecasted rain. Brien called a couple of times during the storm to check on the performance of the tarps. I very much appreciated his concerns. It showed how much he cares about his work. During and after the construction, Brien took the time to give me some advice for the interior work that I will be performing. The crew completed the job in just under two weeks. It looks so good, you would think it was part of the original construction. Upon completion, the site was clean, all debris was in a dumpster, which was picked up the following day. This is the second time I hired B&M Home Improvements. Last year they replaced my porch railing system with a custom designed system. I couldn't be more pleased with the services I've received from B&M Home Improvements.

I called Brien and he responded with a quick and thorough quote. He performed as agreed and then some. In general I knew I was heading the right direction with Brien. The site and workspaces were quite clean and orderly throughout the project. His crew was respectful of the neighbors parking and treated with respect. All business. They came worked hard and had major progress every day. I would highly recommend Brien for any job he decides to take. My enthusiastic recommendation is earned due to his work ethic, transparency, reliability and organization. Clearly a cut above the pack. This is not a joke I am sleeping better knowing Brien is on the site.

The team from Band M were very professional and dependable. The job was done in a timely and efficient manner, conducive to our schedule. They came up with great suggestions and money savings ideas. They created a great new space that will add tremendous value to our home.We plan to use them for any future home remodeling.

I am thrilled with the work completed by B and M Home Improvements! In the Fall of 2011, I hired B and M to remodeled both of the bathrooms in my house. Brien, from B and M, was extremely helpful in design ideas. He spent multiple evenings at various Home Improvement stores picking tile, and going over designs. He and his team worked quickly and professionally to complete both bathrooms in a couple weeks. When the job was done, I very happy with the results. He and his team showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves. A year later when I was looking to remodel my kitchen and mudroom, I once again hired B and M to do the remodeling. Once again, Brien was extremely helpful with ideas on maximizing the space in the two rooms. Brien came up with ideas to open the room by making a cathedral ceiling, utilizing space in the corner for a built in desk, and turning wasted space in the adjacent garage into a much needed mudroom. Once again, B and M did a fantastic job! I will absolutely hire them for any remodeling needs I have in the future.

It went great, Angie. Brien Moore of Band M Home Improvements conducted all business with the highest standards of integrity and honesty. Pricing was extremely fair and changes to the job and extras did not cost some high amount, as is common for some building contractors. He was also was very friendly and had numerous very helpful suggesgtions. His crew also was efficient and friendly; nice guys to have working in and around one's home. The quality of Band M's workmanship was top notch. Other important details are that the work was timely done as promised with a beautiful and quot;before and afterand quot;. We have loved neighbors and passersby compliments.

The final project results were sub-par and of poor quality. I would not recommend this contractor. As of early August, some of the siding is already falling off. The dry wall was not a professional job. Things are crooked, not level, The dry wall seems are showing. The new back porch is of poor quality. The new back door installation is of poor quality, the door jam may be defective. Poor finishing paint job. Band M brought in a plumber do to and quot;neededand quot; work and was change excessive amount to finish the job. Put us in a bind: pay or else. example: over $1200 to install a water heater. The plumbing bill was very large. Band M was to do the electrical work, but couldn't. Needed to bring in a registered electrician that cost a great deal of extra money to the job. The initial form / carpenter work was good, but the rest / finishing was very bad. Very disappointed in the final addition. Update 9/5/13: We would like our rating / experience with Band M Home Improvements posted. We want others to learn from our bad experience. We want others to avoid our mistake in hiring Band M for this large of a project. We learned to get a detailed contract, have everything in writing and make the contractor abide by it; not to be talked out of things. The contract was far too vague and too much was verbally agreed to. Now it is a he said/ we said. Get written referrals and research the referrals / projects the contractor claims to have done. Band M’s response to our review is not accurate. We do not want Band M to return to correct the work. We will have to have the work corrected /redone where possible. We doubt Band M will reimburse us for the incorrect / poor quality of work. Band M’s response did not address the poor quality of work: and middot; Contractor went over the foundation line of house 1 7/16”. He didn’t put the proper finish on the exposed wood. and middot; Siding sliding down from top of addition on both sides; not properly fastened and middot; Snapped off screw on electric panel: cannot access now and middot; Off on framing of inside door: now crooked and middot; Outside door nailed wood on jam: cannot pop hinges (if needed in the future). and middot; Didn’t finish painting bottom of door trim: some 2”, some 5” from floor and middot; Spackling job on walls and ceiling is terrible (very noticeable now that the paint is applied) and middot; Floor 200 sq. ft. not installed properly: can see some seams; floor not adhering down. and middot; Poor quality of finish work. and middot; Disappointed in the work on the porch, walls, door and floor. and middot; Band M was to do all the electrical working and get the permits: this was not the case. It is not a matter of cost, it is a matter of overall not a good job; this contractor deserves the rating we gave.

When Brien came to give me an estimate, he also gave me some good design ideas (some were money-saving). The day the work was to be performed, Brien and his crew showed up on time, and they did a great job! I will be calling him again to give me an estimate to replace the fence in my back yard. I'm a do-it-yourselfer with many of the projects around the house. Brien took the time to give me some pointers and good ideas for a project I plan on doing myself. But I'll be calling Brien for the projects that I plan on hiring out!

We were very happy with the work done. The time it took them to start and finish all the remodeling and painting was very reasonable.

I was responsible to obtain the City of Pittsburgh Building permit. Brien provided a drawing of the proposed new construction. I provided a drawing of my lot and the existing structures. Because it took me a long time, construction began after the weather started getting cold.

Brien was very prompt at returning my phone call from the beginning and got started very quickly. His estimate was very good from the start and was a lot more reasonable than a lot of other companies that do the same work. Instead of subcontracting out different areas of the project, Brien was able to do the entire project himself which makes it great to only deal with one company for everything. They were at the house everyday by around 745am and put in a full days work. Overall, I was very pleased with how the garage came out and how Brien treated me during the process. He communicated with me very well by calls/texts and never left me in the dark about what was going on. He also cleaned up after working every single day and there was never any junk laying around in my yard. I get compliments from my neighbors and people passing by on how great the garage looks. He will definitely be my go to contractor for any of my needs and I would refer him in a heartbeat to anyone interested.
