chimney sweep, chimney caps
 + 0 moreBAIR CONFIRMED WE HAD LIVE BIRDS IN FIRST FLOOR CHIMNEY. THEY NEEDED TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY, BECAUSE HE HAD FAILED TO BRING TWO CHIMNEY CAPS. THE SECOND DAY HE USED A SHOP-VAC TYPE VACUUM CLEANER IN FIRST FLOOR CHIMNEY FROM THE INSIDE AND FROM THE OUTSIDE USED LARGE BRUSH ON FIRST & 2ND FLOOR CHIMNEY FLUES & INSTALLED CAPS. 15 DAYS LATER WE HAD DOZENS OF FLIES IN OUR HOUSE. ANOTHER CHIMNEY SWEEP CAME OUT AND REMOVED DEAD BIRDS FROM BOTH CHIMNEYS. WE LATER LEARNED THAT IN ONE OF THE CHIMNEYS, WE COULD HAVE LET THE BIRDS MATURE AND LEAVE AND THEN CAPPED IT. IN THE OTHER CHIMNEY HE COMPLETELY MISSED WHAT WE HIRED HIM TO FIND, WHICH WAS A TRAPPED BIRD THAT HAD DIED.
Description of Work: WE WERE NEW TO A 5-YR OLD HOUSE AND HEARD BIRDS IN BOTH CHIMNEYS.
