called the number listed for the business on a Sunday evenings leave a message asking for a callback. the owner answered the phone and halfway thru my sentence hung up. I called back and he told me to "give it a rest" so I did. I won't be calling him back.

Bill did a fantastic job and was great to work with! The room looks better than we could have imagined. Bill has a $600 minimum, and was honest about this with me from our first conversation, which I really appreciated. We certainly feels that we got our money's worth after Bill's three days of work in the room. On Day 1, Bill and his helper arrived on time and got right to work. They spent about 5 hours sanding and staining the floor. On Day 2, Bill arrived when promised again, and applied a first coat of poly. On Day 3, he arrived like clockwork again - once in the morning and then about 4 hours later - and applied two more coats of poly. We can't stop admiring how great the floor looks. We can't wait to have him come out and do the hallway and foyer next fall. I'm so glad that I kept going through the list of hardwood floor contractors until I found Bill, but he deserves to be at the top of the list!

This is the second time we have used B & D Flooring and would again. Bill is a good communicator and proactive in resolving uncertainties. The quality of the work is excellent.

Bill is a reliable professional who knows his trade. We first used him for our second floor hardwood several years ago and were very happy with his results so we hired him again for the attic. He calls you back promptly, visits for an estimate quickly, offers fair pricing, gets the job done in a reasonable timeframe. He's professional and polite. We will call him again when we are ready to refinish our kitchen in a few years.

We could not be happier with his work. The hallway looks fantastic, with the edges cut perfectly, the surface level, and no more squeaking. The refinished floors in the bedrooms also look great, better than we thought possible even though they are very old. There was practically no residual dust when they were done. He made sloped edges where the hallway floor interfaces with the bedroom floors which look phenomenal. He was also pleasant to work with and his prices were very reasonable. I strongly recommend his services.

We had the hardwood floors refinished before we moved into our new house. Before, the floors were poorly finished and damaged from pets and years of wear and tear. Bill and his team sanded and stained the floors and they look great. They were punctual and completed the job in a timely manner. They tried to cover the entrances to the other rooms to minimize the dust since it was not a 'dustless' system, but it wasn't bad at all. Plus we needed to clean and paint before moving in anyway. I would definitely recommend them for your flooring needs.

The floor is beautiful! After refinishing it all and it looks like the floors were always connected. Bill's work is always extraordinary.

After B&D finished I had to do some minor repair work myself. Bill stated he did not have the time to do it, due to his schedule. He did provide materials and explained what I needed to do. Plus he provided his cell phone number if I had additional questions. Overall - good job.

Bill responded promptly to my original inquiry, and came out within a week to give a bid. We set up dates and did the rooms in two stages to minimize our inconvenience. The workers arrived on the days promised and at the times promised. They did a very nice job on the floors. The dust was pretty much contained to the rooms being done. We did have to wipe down the walls afterwards but otherwise they cleaned up everything when they were done. Bill was very friendly, answered all of our questions, and was able to work with my schedule. We chose his bid because the price was very good and the reviews were very good. We were very satisfied and would use him again without question.

The refinishing of the two bedrooms hardwood floors which are both about 12 by 14 went smoothy from the first telephone to Bill until he was finished. Bill said it would take three days and it took three days. They taped the plastic up to protect the rest of the house when they sanded and put up barriers once the coating was done to keep our cats from walking on them, They were quick and professional.

B&D had the lowest price by a fair amount and he was able to perform services within my needed timeframe and worked around my schedule since we were doing a few rennovations to the place before moving in. It took about a week and half from start to finish. The floors now look great. Although he doesn't use "dustless" equipment the mess wasn't too bad, although I don't think we could have done the job while actually living there.

Everything went as planned - even better because he was able to start sooner than we thought and finished right when he said. Our floors look great!

Bill and his crew did an excellent job. He took time to figure out how to do the job logistically, then arrived when stated, did the work, and was done when stated. The work was beautiful, with a minimum of clean up for me to do.

He was able to start one week after calling for an estimae. He was prompt and the floors were beautiful. I need a repair in another room and we have been playing phone tag which is why I rated him a B on responsiveness. While he was working on our big job, he would have received an A for responsiveness.

I have nothing but positive things to say about B&D Flooring. I recently bought a house that had wood floors in most rooms that had been covered with carpeting for almost 50 years. After we removed the carpeting, nails, tacks, staples, and trim, we realized that sanding and refinishing over 1000 square feet of floor would be too big of a home improvement project in the few weeks before we were to move in. The revised plan was to have a professional sand the floors, and we would do the clean-up and refinishing. Bill called me back within a few hours and set up an estimate for the next day. He was professional, courteous, and met me when he said he would be there. Unlike other companies, Bill was fine with just doing the sanding and his bid was a very fair price for the work. The two other companies who gave estimates were pushing the idea that they should also do the refinishing, and their estimates for sanding only were inflated, and much higher than B&D s. I was comfortable leaving a key for Bill and he was able to start the project a day early. He called me with daily updates to let me know what was going on at the house, worked efficiently and finished a day early as well, which was very convenient since he said he d be done on a Monday but finished up on Friday which gave us an extra weekend to work on the refinishing and clean-up. The sanding looks beautiful and I am very happy with the quality of the job. A few bonus features of B&D: Although I made it clear that he did not have to do any clean up whatsoever, the house was quite clean when he left. Bill had gone the extra mile and vacuumed quite thoroughly. Also, Bill met us on a Saturday morning to show us what different shades of stain would look like on the floor (he then sanded them off). He instructed us as to what materials to use and techniques he recommended for applying stain and polyurethane. He offered to go with us to the store to buy the materials so that we could use his discount. He was then available for consultation after the job was finished and indeed answered his cell phone when I called him from Home Depot on a Saturday with a question. I highly recommend B&D Flooring to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.

He is very particular. He comes quickly and gives very accurate estimates. He is on time, and dependable. His work is beautiful, and I would use him again and have recommended him to a lot of people.

Very polite, but rough around the edges. Cost was lower than other companies, but did not want to give a firm estimate or a cost/hour for any needed floor repair, so we went with someone else.

B&D DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB REFINISHING THE OAK FLOORS IN OUR HOUSE. THE FLOORS WERE IN BAD SHAPE IN SPOTS; NOW THEY LOOK SPECTACULAR. BILL AND HIS CREW TOOK UP AN AREA OF CERAMIC TILE THAT HAD BEEN LAID OVER THE ORIGINAL HARDWOODS AND REFINISHED THE PLANKS -- TODAY YOU COULD NEVER TELL!! THEY GET PRETTY BUSY AT TIMES -- BILL TOLD ME THAT USUALLY THEY ARE BOOKING JOBS 4 TO 6 WEEKS IN ADVANCE. IF YOU CAN WAIT THAT LONG, AND THE JOB REQUIRES SKILLED FLOORING GUYS, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. MY ONLY CRITICISM IS THAT THEY DIDN'T DO A VERY GOOD JOB CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
