Frank thoroughly explained to us what he thought was the cause as well as a proposed solution. After having already gotten a couple of other estimates, his explanation made the most sense. He didn't pressure us at all and told us that he thought the repair work was not immediately necessary. So we've decided to hold off for now but when we're ready to proceed, we definitely plan to hire AquaGuard.

Never have an indoor basement waterproof system installed when the furnace is running! I compared several companies before choosing AquaGuard; they convinced me this was a routine job and would have minimal dust and ensured my complete satisfaction. The sales rep was prompt and responsive. I questioned him extensively on dust as I have been driven from my home, into a hotel, by a prior sub-contractor. Unfortunately AquaGuard did the same thing! They installed the waterproof system, did not have a 'dustless' system and had no clean-up policies. When the furnace was turned back on, all the concrete/silica dust spewed throughout my home polluting the air quality so my house failed an air quality test (which I'm happy to share along with pictures). I again had to evacuate my home until the air could be remediated. The air quality remediation cost was MORE than the waterproof installation. Of course, AquaGuard claimed no responsibility and per the contract it would have cost me more to fight them in court to recover my costs to remediate the air quality. I would have been less frustrated and disappointed had I not asked extensive questions on the amount of dust this work would generate and told all would be well... I'm asthmatic and had issues with prior work done at the house with silica dust so this was not a minor issue. I will never recommend this company.

I have had bad experiences with some contractors in the past, but from the get-go AquaGuard was a pleasure to work with. All of their people - from Frank, to Michelle and Paula, to Shawn and his crew - acted professionally and never made me afraid to ask questions, no matter how dumb they may be. They may not be the cheapest, but they look out for your wallet and will suggest less expensive alternatives when they don't compromise the quality of the job. I hope that I don't need waterproofing done for a long time, but it's nice to know that there are companies out there who still take pride in their work and put the customer first. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Frank Franci, the sales manager, came to our house and suggested we try a few things before using the services of his company. We appreciated the time he spent with us, his friendliness, and his professionalism. We also were impressed that he was willing to suggest some solutions to our problem that might make his services unneccessary.

The work took a few weeks. They came in and removed old floor and poured new. They had to come in and make a platform floor and replace beams and sheet metal planks. They also rebuilt the wall in the basement to help support the new floor. They were very easy to get a hold of them with questions. Wonderful communication. This was not a easy job but they did good! I feel like I was charged a very fair price.

The entire experience was positive. The sales professional knew what he was talking about, providing pictures, details, references and thorough walk-through. The installation team was professional, thorough and efficient.

If I could give an A+ rating, I would! Frank, the sales manager, arrived promptly at the scheduled time and checked both inside and outside. He said that before I consider his company's services, I need to address the issue with the porch decks leaking. Frank said that might solve my problem and I won't need to go any further. We also discussed downspouts and recommended I have ours checked to verify they are draining freely. There was no charge for his advice. I would have no hesitation in recommending AquaGuard, and will use them if sealing the porch decks does not solve the problem.

Excellent job. Initially met with the Owner for the estimate. Receive a very comprehensive, but understandable, explanation of their services and had my questions answered thoroughly. After making decision to have the work done, was able to get paper work and installation dates from office staff very quickly. Crew arrived on scheduled day, walked and discussed the work to be performed so as to both be informed of what was quoted versus what was to be completed. Crew went to work and worked very efficiently, you could tell they knew what they were supposed to do, were organized and took pride in what they were doing. All very professional, all very courteous. Lastly and just as important, work was finished in time frame estimated. Again an excellent experience from my viewpoint.

Shawn and Andrew were phenomenal. They made sure that they resolved my problem before they left my house. They went above and beyond for me. I was very pleased with the service. The whole company if wonderful to work with.

After considering several providers I got a sense that this was scientifically more sound than the others. Did not want vents in the walls. My friend has this and her basement has an musty odor.

It went very well, the work got done as scheduled, they worked very cleanly and there was less disruption to the yard than we expected. It took slightly less than the two days they estimated and we are very happy with the work in the end. Great work.

It went pretty good in general.

We noted some inconsistencies between what we were told would happen and actual installation. The installation of the sump pump ended up in a less than optimal location, and if we had a better understanding of the installation, we would have changed some things.

He looked at my basement, at my downspouts, and my front steps, as well as the grading around my house, to suggest the sources of moisture and the appropriate interventions. He was super smart, and the opposite of hard sell. I had had a bad experience with a previous company who recommended a very expensive and probably unnecessary bunch of procedures.

After trying to cancel the scheduled start date at 5pm the evening before, Aqua guard did send out their exterior team, to do an interior job. Once they started into the job, they discovered that more work was needed, and an additional cost was quoted. Hard working crew, who did not stop until the job was done.

We made an appoint with Frank to inspect the leakage problem we had in our storage area under the front porch. He said the problem was definitely coming in from the ground level water, however he tested out our interior pump to be on the safe side. He recommended that a new drainage pipe be installed lower than the one that had been installed when the pump was put in (by a different company). Although he cautioned that some of our shrubs may need to be removed, the workers were able to complete the project without any disturbance to the plantings or our paver siderwalk. The 2-man crew arrived exactly as scheduled and completed the job in less than 8 hours. We appreciate Frank's promptness in arriving for his appointment with us, as well as answering our questions completely and understandably. The crew was efficient and left the area in pristine condition.

The workman were prompt and professional. They worked the whole time--not taking breaks or using cell phones, etc. The work looks good too. I just wish I didn't have to spend $20 on a hard to find sewer cover. I would highly recommend this company.

I was extremely impressed by Frank Franci, Sales Manager for Aquaguard, who assessed the leakage in some areas of my basement. He was the only provider of the several waterproofers who inspected the damage who also looked outside for possible reasons why my basement carpet might be damp. (After reading the article about "questions to ask your basement waterproofer," I had learned why "looking outside as well as inside" is important.) He answered all my questions and provided me with extensive advice about dealing with the damp basement. He pointed out how outdoor pipes/downspouts might be responsible for the dampness/wetness in several places, recommending a visit from a plumber to send a camera up one pipe, since it might be broken or clogged. He had also offered suggestions about types of outdoor pipes (schedule 40 with glued joints rather than aluminum because it is stronger and doesn't separate) to use. Another pipe attached to my house but originating on someone else's property had separated, and Mr. Franci thought that this might also have caused some dampness in the carpet. Since I had a problem with mold (and a cat in the house), he also recommended Bactronics as a company that uses a green approach to getting rid of mold, using organic rather than chemical substances. If in the future I need to contact a waterproofing company, I will definitely call Aquaguard. Mr. Franci was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. When I had read reviews of different waterproofing companies, I noticed that others had had similar experiences with Aquaguard: that their representatives freely gave advice they felt was helpful, even if it didn't result in a sale. I had asked Mr. Franci for the price of installing a French drain, in case this alternative is eventually needed: this is what the other companies recommended, but they didn't look outside the house, and I have chosen to try to fix the outdoor problems first. The price he listed was comparable to the others.

I cannot explain how wonderful Aquaguard personnel, the crew that worked on the project. My husband was very ill whenthis job started and was bed ridden. Keith the crew supervisor and the workers would go in and make sure he was informed on their progress. My daughter was there when this was going on and they helped her with anything that she needed help with.A large tree fell across our road when they were working on our wall and they immediately stopped doing the work they were doing and moved the tree which they knew neither my daughter nor I could do.Unfortunately, my husband passed away before the project was completed and did not get to see the excellent job that they did for us. He did tell me that they were the best and most honest people he had ever worked with (and he was a real fuss budget).I can only sing praises for them and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Keith the crew supervisor has made several trips back just to check on things for me..Again thank each and everyone at Aqua Guard for their professionalism, compassion and just going above their call of duty.Madelyn S. It couldn't have gone better. It took some time between contract signing and the work start date, but the company kept to its time frame and kept me informed of what was going on. My questions were always answered the same day. Office staff were friendly and efficient, and the owner, Tom, was very responsive. He prepared the estimate. We toured my home, he looked closely at everything, and gave me professional recommendations that made sense. Within a few days I received an estimate that seemed high, but his was the most complete and detailed offer I received. From the moment work began I was not disappointed. The foreman was courteous and clearly knew what he was doing. Excavation, which was done largely by hand because of the location, was quick and efficient. We were kept informed all along the way. There were no issues with building inspections and no problems: what I paid for is what I received. Work began October 9 and was finished on October 27. When AquaGuard left, I had exactly what Tom and I first discussed. For the first time in a very long time I have a dry basement that I can access from outside my home. They did a great job that was worth every penny.

The initial consultation was informative and Tom Gallagher (AquaGuard President) came on-site to provide the consultation. The price for the work was in line with the other estimates I received and seemed fair. Setting up an appointment to have the work performed was very easy. They worked with my time constraints as I was selling my home and needed the work completed in a short period of time. The two guys who came out to do the work were very pleasant and professional. The work was completed as described,the quality of the work met my expectations, and they completely cleaned up after themselves. After the concrete dried, I noticed that it had settled slightly below the basement floor and that there was a crack in the driveway where the drain was installed. I called to inquire and the same two guys came out 2 days after my call and fixed it all up. I was very pleased with the service overall and the response to my request to fix the original job.

Tom Gallagher spent a lot of time describing the solution and telling us how it would remedy our water problem. He was consultative and did not try to oversell. I appreciated his honesty and the professionalism. The installation crew was just as impressive. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and completed the work within 2 days. They cleaned everything before leaving. I am very pleased with everything. I have already recommended to another family member. Kudos to the entire Aquaguard team.

They arrived on time and the job was completed as scheduled.
