This company is an absolute joke. My experience started with an obnoxious door-to-door salesman knocking on our door sometime in the early evening. I asked for his card or phone number and he refused to give it to me, saying he’s “from Utah and is just the route manager”. After I turned him down after he used every sales tactic known to man, he asks to talk to my wife. Unbelievable. When we finally decided to try them out after seeing ants in the house, we had an appointment set up for them to come out sometime between 8am and 12am the following tuesday, we sit around and wait and nobody calls or shows up. After calling their office about 10 times and no answer, someone finally answers to say they had a “scheduling mishap” and could we reschedule. Probably the sketchiest company I’ve ever dealt with, please look for someone else to do your pest control!!

The lawn care was paid for, but tthey offered it free to my neighbors. I cancelled because I have a well and we all have a well. They want $200 fore work NEVER COMPLETED AND DID NOT CARE AT ALL THAT I HAD A WELL AND ADVISED THEM I COULD NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. I PAID FOR WHAT THEY DID. Not a good idea to offer same FREE to neighbor. They are all about money and do not liisten. Never ever call them. Unprofessional!

I was promised by sales rep (door to door solicitation) and in the written agreement, an initial visit and followup in July 2018 (for $99) followed by four quarterly visits (for $150 each). I was billed a total of $249 for July. I called to complain about the misbilling and the misleading representations in the contract and was told I was indeed overbilled $150 for July. I then spoke with a manager (Clay) and became uncomfortable with the various versions of what their service entailed and cost, so I cancelled my agreement (as allowed in the agreement at any time and I agreed to pay the $130 cancellation fee). I suggested to Clay he could subtract the $130 cancellation fee from the $150 that they inappropriately charged on my credit card, and refund me the difference of $20. He refused. He kept trying to pursuade me to continue on with them, but I'd lost confidence in their company's transparency on pricing and services and his threats of continuing to charge my credit card regardless.

My opinion of Aptive Environmental is much lower than my overall rating of F. That's because they did not provide the complete service promised me by their neighborhood canvassing agent when I talked with him. Among their promoted services was vole/mole remediation which was the one and only reason I signed up for a year's contract. He assured me they had a method for ridding these pests from my property. So I foolishly believed him and signed up. Its been almost a year now and my vole/mole problem is greater than ever. They did nothing on their initial visit, claimed they spread some chemical around the house on the second visit and set above ground bait traps on their third and fourth visits. Totally ineffective, especially since my vole/mole problem extends thru my lawn where I mow and need the control most, not in the mulch or on the driveway next to my house. When I called to cancel my service they explained that there was an almost $250 cancellation fee. When I protested about the failure of their promised service, I was then told for the first time (sales agent DID NOT disclose any of this) that: (1) they only guarantee effectiveness within 30 feet of my house, (2) they are very hard to get rid of, therefore (3) that in order to eliminate voles/moles it takes an undefined "extended" period of time. So in summary, Aptive will not rid my yard of moles and I wasted hundreds of dollars to find this out. And their offer to redo service if I was not satisfied is of no value. Repeating the same ineffective procedure over and over will not solve my vole/mole problem. Good luck if you choose them for your pest control needs. They say there's a fool born every day. You just read the review of one of them.

I've probably had them for about two or three treatments. I've used them just a quarter before every three months or whatever. They've done great every time. I'm not sure on the cost.

They come out quarterly. I don't remember the cost; I have it automatically deducted, but it was better than the competitor's rate and they use all natural products. They make it a point to explain everything they did. If there's anything extra I need from them they seem to go out of their way to accommodate. For instance, I had slugs, and I told him about it and he was about to leave and he made a trip to his truck to get this product that he sprinkled around the area that I was having problems with and he kind of educated me a little bit.
Description of Work: They just do routine quarterly pest control. They just spray around the perimeter of the house and treat the yard for ticks and fleas.
