+ -1 moreI have an 1895 Victorian house which is divided into 3 apartments and Tony has been my plumber here for 17 years and he's been working with Terry for maybe the last 12 of those. He installed 2 new bathrooms in my house, a gas line and stove where there had not been one before, my water heaters, washers and gas dryers, all 5 of my toilets - 2 dual-flush and one with a dual-flush attachment and, with Terry, has just finished his second whole bathroom rehab here. Obviously, I keep calling on him for alll of my plumbing jobs. His work is always exact and clean. For this job, he had to coordinate with the glass workers who brought in the glass shower panels and another company that resurfaced the antique tile that I kept on the walls and ceiling. Everything went smoothly and I love the finished product.
Description of Work: Tony and his partner Terry rehabbed my 1895 bathroom by removing a 1950's bathtub and replacing it with a combination rain head plus hand-held shower fixture, a glass shower surround and a tall cabinet, which had to be assembled and attached to the wall. They had to break out the old tile where the tub had been cemented to the wall and replace that wall tile with new tile that I bought separately. Terry did the tiling and I did the tile shopping. Once the dealer had the tile in stock Terry picked it up and brought it to the house. They removed layers of carpet, vinyl, and tile from the floor, leveled it and retiled it with that tile I had bought separately. They took out an old pedestal sink and replaced it with a new one that I bought separately and added a Corian top to a low cabinet that I already had in the room. They found a suitable used door to replace a slightly damaged one and fitted it into place with the antique hinges. Finishing up, they attached a mirror, a glass shelf, towel bars and a paper holder.
