Great! I was very happy with Brandon's work. The basement and the whole house now smell so much better. He took the time to do the job right, and I feel confident that the problem is now fixed. Brandon does exceptional, quality work. I definitely recommend him to deal with a mold issue.

I had made a call to American Mold Remediation who was recommended by my realtor. So glad I did! He listened to my dilemma about mold in an integral garage. He arrived soon after to find that I needed additional areas taken care of in the house that I had not noticed til after the call. Him and his helper did an excellent job even though they had previously done 3 other jobs earlier that day!! My walls had never looked so good, not even when they didn’t have mold on them!! Can't say enough about their professionalism, politeness and attention to detail!!

I had a small job that no one wanted to bother with, but I had to have a professional do it since we are going through a relocation company to move and they require EVERYTHING to be perfect. I was in a time crunch since the closing date is only a few weeks away. Brandon fit me in, remedied the problem, wrote up a detailed invoice to present to the relocation company, and did a great clean up of his work space. He was here longer than expected, but stuck to his original quote (which was VERY reasonable to begin with). I would DEFINITELY hire him again! He was great! Thanks Brandon!

Brandon truly went above and beyond to help us out when we purchased a home that turned out to be riddled with mold. A different mold remediation company had claimed to have rid the home of mold, and even had an "un-biased third party" inspector confirm as much. However, the lab results showed otherwise. When Brandon and American Mold Remediation came in to correct the "work" done by the previous company, they found that the addition on our house was built directly on dirt with no vapor barrier, the dirt was actually touching the floor joists, the walls themselves were so rotted in some places that they could easily be dismantled with a gentle tug by hand, and there was still active mold in *every spot* that had been treated. All of this was seen by the original company, who apparently either didn't care or simply decided not to address the issues.Brandon and his crew went above and beyond the scope of work in their estimate, digging out the crawlspace under our kitchen, installing a vapor barrier, removing the siding and rotted wall from the back of the house and replacing it, removing approximately 4 times the drywall and floor that the other company removed, and treating and spraying the entire home repeatedly. They also completely treated and coated our basement walls (sandstone foundation) and floor. The mold infestation was so bad that after all of that work, the home *still* had slightly elevated levels of certain allergenic molds, so Brandon and his crew came back *again* to make it right (at his own expense, I might add). They ran air scrubbers and air exchangers for days, Brandon personally re-sprayed and treated the home daily until he was satisfied. Brandon is in demand, and his phone rings non-stop, but he always gets back to you. American Mold might seem to have a longer turn-around time than some other companies, but take it from me: do it once, and do it right. It's never worth taking shortcuts with your health.
Description of Work: -remove kitchen appliances, countertop, cabinets, walls, floor -remove bathroom fixtures and floor -remove more dirt that I want to think about from the crawlspace under the kitchen -install vapor barrier -completely clean, treat, and waterproof sandstone basement -remove drywall and insulation in 4 rooms on two floors -remove (and then replace) siding and rotted wall and structural components from back of house -remediate entire home for mold over the course of several weeks -many other things that I'm probably forgetting

Brandon and his crew did a fantastic job, Very Professional and Very Polite, hard working and extremely thorough. Did a excellent job, not only removing all the Mold, but also removed insulation away from soffit vents. Also, Brandon, bought Insulation to cover my attic steps and whole house fan. He bought the Insulation with his own money. Brandon and his crew cleaned up thoroughly. Truly a outstanding Man. I would definitely recommend Brandon and his Crew to anyone needing Mold removal. The Price was very fair. Thanks again Brandon, Job well done.

American Mold took our basement from a place I didn't like to stand in for more than 5 minutes to a place I did not recognize. We bought a house that needed a tremendous amount of work. The basement flooded with every rain, the wood finished basement walls were rotting and place was covered with filth. We got a quote from Brandon in January 2015. The closing was complicated and we brought Brandon in to do the work in December 2015. The price remained the same and the amount of work increased because there were so many unknowns hidden behind walls. It started out as a 3 day job and took over a week...but we weren't complaining when we saw the transition and who doesn't want more than they pay for. The crew works extremely hard and maintains a clean operation. They take on tasks you could not pay me to do. The crawl space under the kitchen was horrid and now it sparkles with a coat of paint and a vapor barrier over the dirt floor. The work included a bathroom demo and mold treatment. They had to remove the entire bathroom floor because of water damage and mold. Yes, it was really that bad. I have no idea how that toilet kept from falling into the basement. If you are willing to wait for them to have time to do the work and you are patient related to schedule you will get a great finished project. Our house smelled horrible from years of water infiltration, pipes leaking and dogs that went to the bathroom wherever the h*** they pleased. The bathroom was so bad I could barely walk past it without gaging even when the door was closed. The basement wreaked every time the humidity spiked or it rained. The smell is now gone. I think no one is happier than my boyfriend because the first night I stayed in the house after the work was completed I spent a ton of time in the basement and did 5 loads of laundry instead of sending him down there. Brandon is extremely knowledgeable and yes he is also very laid back. If you have mold call Brandon and be patient and he will get rid of it. It might take longer than expected but the end result is worth it. I cannot imagine anyone doing the job we had done for what we paid. Everyone we show is amazed with the transformation. Thank you American Mold.

Brandon and his crew were professional, polite, hardworking and extremely thorough. The remediation turned out to be more extensive than originally thought, however he did not change the price he had quoted us. We passed post-remediation third party lab testing clearance on the first try. They really made sure to do the job right so they wouldn't need to come back. We were very pleased with the quality of their work.
Description of Work: Gutted finished side of basement in order to access all areas of mold, and treated entire basement including unfinished side. Hauled away all debris, multiple peroxide treatments, painted walls with white moisture resisitant coating, used hepa negative air machines and exhaust fans, ran air scrubber machines at completion of job for approx. 5 days.

Yes, I couldn't believe it was going to be that bad behind the walls. I wish I could have gotten out there sooner for you but we were so backed up in September and October. I cannot believe that the other mold contractors did not want to demo/remove the walls. I am glad you waited to get the job done right the first time; I hate seeing people waste their money on failed remediations. We took your total mold count of penicillium aspergilus from 120,000 spore could pre-stage levels down to 400 post-stage levels using 3rd party inspectors. Your air quality in your basement is now 300 times better than before. I was happy with our performance and process- this is why everyone fears the third-party inspector coming in after them and they run their own testing saying they pass every time. Even the best mitigators in the world fail clearance tests because it is a microscopic organism that likes to hide behind walls. We are working on our punctuality, but we typically run 3-4 jobs at once so we make sure to service all of our clients the best we can as our air-filters must work for a minimum of 3 days. We have found that the longer our machines hepa negative air machines run, the odds of passing clearance testing goes up higher. We also spray more treatments than any other company out there. We are never rip people off on chemicals because this is also an important thing. We use hydrogen Peroxide based treatments so it allows us to tell when we are disinfecting micro-organism. If the peroxide reacts, there is still microbial growth present- similar to putting it on an open wound. When the peroxide reacts, we must scrub that area and retreat until there is no more reactions. I just did a bid today where there were already 4 restoration companies and 2 mold inspectors working on another property and the lady has not been able to access her house for over 2 months. After spending over an hour and a half looking at their property, i found a major issue behind all of their walls in the basement that was overlooked by 6 other companies. They are already $30,000 into their project and still unable to live in their property.

Brandon and his crew did an excellent job. They worked long hours and took care to keep the fumes and paint in the basement as much as possible. They cleaned up and cleared out everything that could not be saved. They could have communicated a little better in the beginning, but that got better as the job went on. I would highly recommend this company. The lower scores in punctuality and responsiveness are not really an issue if you have a mold problem. We were more concerned with having the job done right than having them arrive right on time.

Dust and containment procedures not followed properly, Cleanup was sloppy at best. Exposed us to hazordous chemicals, dust and mold. Damaged furniture, caused a water leak that damaged a ceiling that was brand new. Violated building codes especially electrical and miswired a room. Did not cleanup and left job unfinished. Had to have other contractors finish job. One of the worst experiences of my life.

I appreciate your honest feedback and over the past 4 months since we have performed your assignment, we have made multiple improvement in customer service. We have hired and trained new personnel for estimates, customer service and mold remediation. We are currently expanding to service more clients while maintaining our quality and performance. We are providing our estimates within the same day and our scheduling of our estimates is typically done within 1-2 days. However, this mold remediation project was a success. We passed third party mold testing on the first try and met your deadlines for your real-estate closing while satisfying all of your buyers requests. We are professional when it comes to following IICRC S-520 protocol and successfully removing mold from properties and our customer service has improved. Real-estate deals are very difficult because sellers’ like yourself want to do the bare minimum to sell the house. We did this assignment correctly under the guidelines of the IICRC S520 protocol. We ripped out the damage framing, the vapor barrier causing the mold, removed the ceiling tile in the property and treated the rafters in the basement. I suspected that there was a vapor barrier in the basement, and pulled out an access panel to find an awful smell coming from behind the wall. I personally do not think many other contractors would have found this as the moisture levels were only hitting approximately 17%. Conflicts of Interest arise many times in real-estate deals because often times we are asked to do unethical things by some realtors and sellers that is not in the best interest of the person who is moving in to the property. We want to make sure the homes that we treat are safe and healthy for the future occupants. I am growing tired of the amount of phone calls I get from people discovering mold within 1-6 months after moving into their new homes. We are a company that is in this for the long haul.

Did an excellent job. Some people panic when they hear the world mold - Brandon was able to explain the different types - most of which are not 'toxic' - and remove every last bit. The attic is as clean as the day the house was built. He had all the right equipment, explained the process and the impact while the process was happening, and completed the job on time and on budget. The problem is not scary.

Thank you. The attic turned out great- i think i still have the pictures from this- i will try to upload. There should not be visible mold in the attic after a mold remediation treatment. If you can still see black stains, odds are the mold is not gone and you have been scammed by another Mold Remediation Contractor. I am glad you went with us and that the attic came out perfect. We had to do a few extra treatments than anticipated but it worked out. More importantly, you addressed the ventilation problem in the attic which many people selling their home do not like to do. This is an important step in the prevention of mold.

I am sorry, for some reason my calendar has did not sync and I do not have you on my schedule. I ran 3 other appointments that saturday but for some reason did not have you on my calendar. Let me know if you still need an evaluation- you said you had roof problems on the phone- that is step one to solve that issue first before a mold remediation company comes in there so that moisture sources can be taken care of. Also don't get scammed by a company the companies on this site that are running their own mold testing or get their brother to run the third party clearance testing- obviously a conflict of interest. Also watch out for the company who is running around with a hygiena luminometer calling it a bactrometer- this is a made up term and not a real mold testing device.

The owner, Brandon Schwab, came to the house to review the problem and quote the cost to remediate the mold growing on the underside of the roof plywood sheathing. I was expecting to need to remove the roof plywood & shingles. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mold could be removed permanently with a few spray treatments and fogging. They started the job about a week and half later, after finishing other jobs on their schedule. The job turned out to be a little more difficult, requiring 6 treatments. Brandon and his crew continued until both he and I were satisfied. Bottom line - quality job!

American Mold performed a peroxide fog throughout my house to purify the air. I have used American Mold multiple times and HIGHLY recommend them. They initially remedied my basement when black mold was discovered and passed all clearance testing. We occasionally get the air treated in our house and have found that the treatments have significantly lessened my daughter's allergies. Would recommend the air treatments for anyone with allergies. Would also strongly urge anyone that has discovered mold anywhere in their house to contact them immediately. The health effects of mold are extremely dangerous and should not be taken lightly. They are experienced, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and will get the job done right the first time.

Brandon was very professional when he came to do the estimate. The previous tenant left their dog locked in the basement and there was a terrible odor. It made us sick every time we went downstairs. He came quickly and brought air cleaning machines to clean the air. He painted the walls and floors then cleared the basement of mold. The smell was completely gone and we were very happy to be able to use our basement again. A year has passed and the smell is still gone.

AMR was fabulous! Their personnel showed up as scheduled and were extremely careful to create the appropriate protection to remove area with mold - about 4x20 ft section. This included creating containment area, with air scrubber, around the mold itself, then also protecting all kitchen cabinets, floors, walls and doors while work was completed. They then treated the affected area and around affected area with Hydrogen Peroxide (16% with surfactants) to disinfect mold and remove staining - repeating application until no more foaming occurred - then applied Serum 2000 for additional protection. They finished the job by Hepa vacuuming walls and entire work area and installed mold resistant blue board to affected area. AMR even connected us with a person who discovered and repaired the flashing that was damaged and allowed water seepage in the first place. Finishing (paint and texture) were done by separate vendor. All in all a very professional and complete job was done. It's been 2 years and no return of moisture or mold. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing help with this high-concern project.
