AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION- PITTSBURGH

Unfortunately my liner had hundreds of pin hole leaks which the provider felt was due to termites/bugs. Due to the amount of leaks found and the reason, they did not patch any holes and discounted the visit from $245 down to $200.

It was more work than anticipated due to the fact that there were old lines in the way and the break happened to be by an active return line, so the work area was tight/difficult. The fellow who did the job was plesant and knowledgeable. This is now the 2nd season since repair and I am happy to report we are leak free.

Didn't give me an estimate to start the location but I didn't ask either. $260 seemed pretty reasonable for the 45 min to 1 hr of work that they did and the tools that they used. Didn't seek out other quotes as we were in a bit of a bind and they came recommended by my plumber. They might be the only gig in town for this type of services.

Our inground pool had been leaking all summer. Usually just a couple of inches per week, but two or three times almost all the water leaked out!! It was incredibly expensive to keep adding water almost everyday, let alone refilling the dang thing several times. These guys came and found four holes and patched them and were gone in less than two hours. I was very impressed with the job they did. I was told upfront that the cost would be $500.00 ( unless they needed to purchase more materials to fix it, then it would be more). Yes, it was a bit expensive, but not compared to what we spent in water. I would recommend them to anyone with a problem with swimming pool leaks.

They are not inexpensive, but they are good. I like that they find your leaks.

Overall, this was a good experience. I was losing 2 inches of water daily from my in-ground pool and could not find the leak. I called American Leak Detection and three other providers of pool leak detection services. Only American called me back same day. They have preset prices for their work. Within 2 days of my call they arrived as scheduled, found the leak and fixed it. Though they are expensive, I am happy with their work and responsiveness.

Extremely professional, communicative, and neat. We doubt we could find as much expertise elsewhere. They consulted with sealant manufacturer to find best solution to one crack with a "gusher" of water rising one foot once it broke the surface. We had previously consulted a plumber and been sadly disappointed in his inability to find and fix the leak. We had used them before to test which cracks leaked, and put in temporary repairs. We recommend them highly.
