AMERICAN FIRE CONSTRUCTION

I gave Scott Fullmer, now doing business as American Decking, a total of 11,600 on a $15,000 job to buy cabinets and counter top for my kitchen on February of 2017. His worker laid the floor before the cabinets arrived, then they put my old cabinets back and left the baseboards sloppily torn off. Scott explained the the tiles we're uneven because the ceramic planks we're "wavy on the bottom so they look like real wood". There is a box of these tiles currently in my basement and the are perfectly level on the bottom. Scott then stated that the cabinets which were supposed to come in two weeks from when I gave him the money we're delayed. After that, it was story after intricate story as to why we didn't have cabinets. Then we had him order from Lowe's. 5 weeks later, the cabinets were supposedly in but he couldn't do our job because he was doing something else, then two of his guys quit. We're now at the end of May, he supposedly can't finish the job and offers a full refund for what we paid. This would supposedly take 10 business days because he was waiting on refunds for cabinets and counter. When asked where the cabinets were, because we wanted to go pick them up to have someone else install, he told us a specific Lowe's store. I called and there were no record of these cabinets at all, under his name, his business or my name. When I told the last at Lowe's some of the things he told us, she told me they weren't true (ie, Schuler cabinets never come in in two weeks, it's always 4-6). He took out money and never bought the materials. We received a default judgement on August 10, because he didn't appear in court. Our attorney discovered other significant judgements against him. Also came to find out he does not have a valid licence or insurance (the policy he gave us was not valid and his licence expired in May of 2016, we didn't know to check). Do not hire this man, he belongs in prison and why he is still operating a business, free to rip people off, I do not understand.
