American Buyers Custom Window Coverings

Jeff is American Buyers Discount's one man show. He gave us plenty of information, made recommendations, and helped us select honeycomb shades (both translucent and black out) for our home. We are still waiting for our windows to get replaced by another company so we haven't placed our order yet but plan to within the first month or so of the year.

I liked him very much. I did not like a helper who installed some of the blinds. But the main person was terrific. I'm sorry, I can't remember how much this cost but I thought it was reasonable and I had a special that decreased the cost as well.

The Salesman was professional, polite and punctual. He was personable he allowed the customer the time and did not pressure me. The installers were punctual and efficient, they also were careful with my furniture. They cleaned after themselves and left my rooms as they found it.

When I was looking for blinds I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal discount from American Buyers Discount. Jeff contacted me with a day or two through the website and made an appointment to meet me at my new home. He explained the features and cost of various options for window treatments. After I told him the style I wanted, he measured the windows and French doors and calculated the cost. I made a 50% downpayment. Two weeks later he returned and installed the blinds. He is very knowledgeable, having worked in the industry for many years, and made sure I understood the features and costs of all his products so that I feel I made a thoroughly informed decision. I can't speak to the issue of price since I did not solicit a second estimate.

Every part of the process of purchasing these blinds was handled professionally by American Buyers Discount and specifically by their representative Jeff Primis. Jeff made it easy and comfortable for us to chose the kind of window covering that was best for us. The installation was completed in less than an hour and we love the results.

It's the second time we use this provider and as in the first time all went well. I have no don'ts.

Jeff was nice enough to come for a consult on a Saturday. He was very nice and professional. However, we ended up not using the Big Deal because it ends up being cheaper not using the Big Deal.

I purchased an Angie's BIg Deal for shades through American Buyers Discount. Jeffrey was our provider throughout the whole process. Because of health reasons, I was unable to have the work done by the expiration date. Jeffrey was so accommodating and assured me that he would come whenever. Once onsite, he was professional, punctual and had great suggestions. AND he brought his favorite chocolate chip cookies every time! We had only one snag - once hung, I was disappointed the shades covered the woodwork of the windows in our bedroom. Not a problem. Jeffrey took them down, remeasured and had the newly cut shades to us in under 2 weeks. Then the second set did not fit two windows. Down they came again. BTW - We had watched Jeffrey measure so the mistake was not his. Finally, he was just here this past Saturday with more cookies and the last set fit perfectly. The additional redoes in the bedroom for 4 windows cost us $200, which I considered reasonable. An extra bonus was that Hunter Douglas gave us a $175 VISA rebate for our business. I would definitely recommend Jeffrey and his company - the shades are beautiful and his service was top notch.

Jeff Primis came to our home, showed us all the available options and helped us in our selection. He was very knowledgable and never pressured us into making a decision. We selected the blinds and provided a deposit. Jeff ordered the blinds which arrived within the designated three week time span. One day after the blinds arrived they were installed. The installers were very professional and showed a great deal of respect for our home. We love the look the blinds give the room. Although the blinds were expensive, we feel they were worth the cost. Jeff made the process of selecting, buying, and installing the blinds a pleasurable experience.

Jeff accommodated our schedules with the installation of the blind. So far everything has been great. Jeff is a really good guy and we are really pleased with the blind. The blind was expensive but it serves the purpose we needed. I would recommend their service.

Jeff was great to work with. He responded immediately to set up an appointment in late January to go over the various blinds, the Hunter Douglas brand, and to measure the windows. The blinds were ordered and Jeff returned in late February for the installation. Jeff is personable,professional, and takes great pride in his work. I'm very pleased!

Very professional and wonderful selection.

Everything started well. The consultation and picking out of the blinds was easy. The problems started when the blinds were installed. There are pieces that are warped, the blinds cannot be pulled up, the string hangs on the floor, they don't sit right on the ledge, the rods are too big, etc. We have had the owner of the company to the home to look at the issues. Jeff said that he would make everything right, he understood our frustrations and that he would be in touch. By this time, we got to bad weather and the holidays so we put off the corrections until after the holidays. Since then, American Buyers Discount has been unresponsive. We've tried to get in touch with them, we've asked Angie's List to get in touch with them and they haven't responded at all.

Provided and installed window treatments in 4 rooms. Experienced, prompt and efficient service. New window treatments are fantastic, rooms look cleaner and bigger. Great job!!!

I hoped I was getting a good deal through Angies list, but probably paid a premium price. (I checked a comparable Hunter Douglas window treatment at Home Depot which was less than what I paid.) Still, I received excellent service and am overall pleased.
