I found American Buyers Discount on Angie's LIst, and I called for an estimate. Jeff Primis returned my call immediately and set up a home appointment. He spent well over 3 hours for the first visit, taking measurements, making suggestions, and working out an estimate. He then scheduled the installer who spent several hours with me, adding to the suggestions that Jeff had made. After the installer's visit, Jeff returned and spent several more hours with me until he was sure that I was satisfied with the selections. His expert advice help to assure me that I was making good choices. Mike Wagner from Act Installments Inc did the installation, and the work was done efficiently and professionally. These men are courteous, professional, and return your calls promptly. They worked together and figured out the best way to put shutters on the sliding doors. If they called Hunter Douglas about a questions, they received immediate feedback from the company. I was impressed with their committment. Jeff came during the install to answer any questions . He is the best in the business, and I would not hesitate to recommend him. The results were outstanding, and I'm sure that I would not have had better service elsewhere.

I found American Buyers Direct through all these great referrals on Angies List and it is by far the best thing that ever came out of my Angies List membership. Jeff Primis is the ultimate professional. He's knowledgeable, on time, polite, and sincere at all times. The cost of window treatments is no joke but Jeff almost made me happy to spend my money (and I know my job was small compared to so many others but he never made me feel like that!). The finished product looks amazing, I feel like I can call him any time if there is a problem with them in the future, and everything about the window treatment buying process was a dream: consultation, communication, speed of delivery and installation, etc. I know we will be using American Buyers Discount again as we continue to decorate our home.

Jeff is a true professional. He was on time, had a great understanding of his product and made sure that he met our needs. I could not have been happier with American Buyers Discount or with the price of the blinds and door fabric. I had another company in for an estimate and they wanted $4,300 and American Buyers Discount was almost exactly half that price. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and he will work with you on anything. His installer, Mark, is also a great guy and was very timely and professional. If you are in need of ANY type of window treatment, call Jeff. You will not be disappointment with the quality or price.

Jeff made several visits to our house and really took the time to help us make choices that we would be happy with. He gave excellent advice and guidance as far as color and fabric selection and he is extremely knowledgeble about all of the products that he sells. He brought several books with fabric samples and samples of the different styles of blinds so it was very easy and convenient to choose what we wanted. His installation dates were right on time and everything looks absolutely beautiful. We are very pleased with the service that Jeff provided. (Plus he hands out awesome chocolate chip cookies in conjunction with your purchase.) Jeff is a true professional and we would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

We called Jeff to get some shades for our new home. Jeff spent hours with us giving us his full attention. He made sure that we understood all of the possible options. He crunched numbers for numerous scenarios for us. Two weeks later, he came to install our custom shades. He provides a wonderful service, the quality is excellent and worth the money. The hunter doaglas honeycomb shades made a huge difference, our old home does not feel as drafty as before. It seems to be much warmer, and it looks great.

I've had four installation appointments over a six week period and we are still awaiting one last repair. With each visit Jeff or his installers were punctual, polite, and professional. Unfortunately, we've had multiple problems: wrong size blinds, hardware missing, wrong blind delivered, small pinches in the blind that create a non-uniform look across our vertical blind. I've been waiting over a week for the installer to contact me to complete the last concern. Each problem we've encountered has been small and fixable. However, the volume of mishaps made the experience frustrating and inconvenient. I like Jeff but would not likely use his services again. For the price, I expected far better service.

Jeff is pleasant, answers all questions. The blinds came in just when he said they would be in and they were installed at the agreed upon date and time. He is considerate, took care of my furniture and cleaned up. I recommend his services.

He showed me his options, we decided on an option, and he showed up on time and did the work just fine. I would not hesistate to call him again.

Jeff, the owner, came out the same day that I had called. He was extremely thorough and had great ideas. He was punctual and had come out when he said he would. He was very well prepared with all the sample books that I could imagine.

Jeff reviewed all the options and prices and thoroughly explained how the blinds would work and what degree of darkening vs. light leakage each model would provide. The blinds are good quality for the price and the warranty made it a no-brainer. Installation was tidy and all packaging removed. We like the blinds - very effective at both room darkening and insulation. One of the blinds fell down almost a year later due to a broken bracket (they have improved the bracket design since our initial installation) and Jeff came out and replaced the broken bracket (free under warranty). He books appointments a few days out but arrives within 15 minutes of the time or calls.

I am the individual who previously submitted the "C" report, having been disappointed with the quality of the Hunter-Douglas products I ordered and because of Jeff's lateness/not showing up on a few occasions. I wanted to update my report: I did use a different company for one window treatment upstairs and had a very bad experience. So i decided to give American Buyers another chance, because their prices are the lowest. This time everything went smoothly. The blinds are lovely, came in on time, installation on time. There was a minor problem with a blind not fitting the window frame in one place (our old house with skew windows), and Jeff fixed it on the spot.

Jeff was very easy to work with . He measured and had suggestions for what we needed. What I had in mind was too expensive and he found exactly what we needed for an affordable price. The shades were ready in 2 weeks. We are very pleased with his work.

I called and left message requesting estimate for window treatment. Jeff Primus, owner, promptly returned call to visit our home and provide estimate. He came to our home, as scheduled, thoroughly explained the different types of blinds available for the windows needing new treatment. He then returned to install the wood blinds we had chosen and demonstrated how to use them.

Jeff was prompt, courteous, and thorough. He knows the Hunter Douglas product line well, and asked thoughtful questions such as, "What side do you want the cord to be on? If it's on the left, it might be hard to reach from the treadmill." He returned every call, called back when he said he would, and arrived on time as promised (even through snow). He worked for us on weekends and evenings. He worked quickly, and was in & out of the house in minutes for each measurement and installation. He was patient and accommodating when we changed our minds about covering additional windows. His prices were cheaper than the Hunter Douglas showroom. When I asked him about a rebate from Hunter Douglas, he knew about it and the deadlines. He even submitted the rebate form to Hunter Douglas on my behalf.

I thought they were very thorough and prompt. They gave us expert advice. We ordered the blinds and they came back to put them in in a very timely basis. They installed them very well.

Jeff replied immediately to my email with a quote, unlike other places who had to "discuss" with their Hunter Douglas reps before they could quote me a price (sometimes taking weeks to get back to me). Jeff's price beat every other price that I obtained. We haven't yet had the blinds installed, but Jeff said that he is the only certified Hunter Douglas dealer in the area. Based on price and responsiveness, Jeff seems the best of several Hunter Douglas dealers in the area.

Jeff did a great job. Neighbors have commented on what a big difference it makes in the overall appearance of the house. Jeff was very knowledgeable about his product base and was able to give advice without pushing us in any particular direction, just gave us the facts so that we could make our own decisions.

Positive. They showed up on time. He's been here several times. He will call if he's going to be late. He can talk and he is very personable. A couple times he didn't clean up too well after himself, as far as the window blinds, but nothing that I couldn't easily deal with. He uses subcontractors for installation of flooring and carpeting, very satisfactory job. The blinds arrived very quickly after I ordered them. I had priced elsewhere and he was considerably less.

The salesman was very knowledgeable about window treatment options, and did not pressure for any one decision. The work was done very competently as promised. Price seemed fair.
