Jeff was very helpful in the selection process, on time for his appointment, and Mike did a very professional job of installation. Very neat and cleaned up his trash as he went.

Within hours of purchasing our Angie's List Big Deal Jeff from American Buyers Discount contacted us to set up the initial appointment. When he arrived we discussed what our needs were and he educated us on the different options we had for our window coverings. We ended up purchasing a different blind than we thought we wanted after talking with Jeff. The honeycomb blinds met our needs better. Our blinds were installed two weeks later and we couldn't be happier.

The salesman came to the house on the day and time of the appointment. He was very professional and measured the windows. He brought a sample book and recommended styles, materials and colors. He said that the blinds would be ready in 2 - 3 weeks. I paid half the cost due along with the Angie's List certificate (which cost $199 for $500 worth of materials). So I paid $899 up front and the remaining $700 would be due when the blinds were delivered. Approximately 2 weeks later I was contacted by the installer and scheduled an appointment for the blinds to be hung the following week. I could not be home at the time but my husband was present. The installer hung the blinds quickly and they look wonderful. However, I had ordered a "center stack" vertical blind for the one window which would allow it to be opened sideways from either or both sides. The blind that was hung was only able to be opened from the left side. I called the salesman immediately and he remembered that I had ordered a "Center Stack" blind. He said he was on the phone with Hunter Douglas right before I called and he would talk with them and get back to me. I have not heard from him since that phone call. I don't know if a replacement was ordered or not. However, the final payment for the blinds was not paid when they hung them and will not be paid unless they replace the incorrect blind. Otherwise I can live with the blind they hung. UPDATE: I had previously submitted a review of this company that the job had not been completed. On 10/31/2013 the representative returned and installed the correct blind in our bedroom window and the job was completed to our satisfaction. I wanted to let Angie's List subscribers know that this company completed the work they had promised.

Jeff is a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable on all things related to window treatments and provided me with several options that would best fit my needs. He also provided information about rebates and other ways to save money. My existing Hunter Douglas shades needed some servicing, and he went above and beyond and sent those back to H-D for me (and then installed them when they arrived). I would absolutely call him again the next time I need window treatments.

I paid an additional $209 to have the blinds ordered. The provider advised it would be at least 3 weeks until they were completed. It has been over 1 month now and the Provider has cashed my check, but all of his phone numbers have been disconnected. UPDATE: Jeff came out and measured. He is very personable. My blinds are to be installed this morning.

They arrived in time and were very professional. They did a good job, but not excellent. we had just move into a brand new house and the windows were extremely dusty and dirty. They are better now, not perfect. They stayed one hour and charged us $200.00. We thought that it was expensive. Two people, one hour work = $100. 00. I think I will change my profession and start a window cleaning business...

He was great. Came and measured - came to install - can't remember when - one of the blind pulls was damaged. He ordered another and came to install that when the part came in. Nice man - kind and considerate.

Jeff was professional, knowledgeable, and also helpful. He explained the various choices in shutters available to us, and with the information provided, our choice was an easy one. He helped select the most appropriate size/thickness for the windows in question.

Jeff was wonderful in helping me select the right type of blind that I needed. Mike was great with the installation, both we very helpful and friendly.

I wasn't fully comfortable with Jeff. I had purchased the $199 coupon worth $500 and it was never mentioned or deducted from my bill. That's all right - I paid $1,300 up front and deducted the $500 from the balance upon completion. I know if I hadn't, I'd have never gotten credit for the coupon. I don't trust Jeff and, at that point, I began to distrust Angie's List. I'll be very skeptical about purchasing another of your Big Deal coupons. I don't know why this company is so highly rated. I don't care to do business with them again.

He responded to my initial phone call promptly. He arrived at my home twice at the time he had arranged with me. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He has a long history with selling and installing window treatments. He was able to explain clearly the alternative choices for my windows and provided good advice. The price was higher than I had anticipated but the blinds look very attractive and should help with keeping my living room warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The cordless blinds are easy to operate and should give me many years of service. (He told me that they have a lifetime guarantee.)

Last year when I ordered blinds from Jeff, the whole experience was so easy and efficient. Jeff is a great guy and really knows his products. He's an extremely nice man, and it is a pleasure working with him. This year, I have ordered 5 more blinds, but they have not yet arrived. But based on my experience of last year, I know that this, too, will be an easy and effortless "operation". And I will continue to call Jeff for blinds until I run out of windows. I would not even consider calling anyone else.

Arrived on time and the process was completed efficiently . We are very pleased.

Things went well with Jeff from American Buyers Discount. He was prompt in returning calls and answering emails. As well, he was patient as I needed sometime between communications, and visits, to deal with life. Once we were ready to place the order he had his installer contact me promptly to finalize measurements and details. Didn't hear anything from either Jeff or installer regarding status of order - had no clue if came in, back order, etc... - till the installer was ready to schedule installation. Installer, 2 guys, came, were quiet and neat. Put everything in place, cleaned up and were done! Very simple and beautiful.

I spoke with Jeff on the telephone last week to set up a day to come to my new home to discuss window treatments and get a quote. He was scheduled to come this past Monday. Jeff never showed up, nor called. When I tried to call him, his voicemail box was full and would not allow me to leave a message. It's three days later, and still no call from Jeff. Glad others have had such a positive experience with this company--definitely not my experience though! Would NOT recommend!

Excellent. I'm very happy with the service and the end result. I didn't check the price box because I didn't price alternatives. I'm sure I could have gotten a lesser product for less money...

He initially quoted me an additional $1282 for three windows. I told him we couldn't do that. Then he sent me a quote for the cheaper ones for $4562. It then took him two weeks to get back to me. We decided we wanted to go with the better shades in my daughter's room for just one window. I asked him to recalculate and let me know what that price would be. I saw what he wrote down on the paper in the pool room which was $699. (My daughter's window is smaller). The end quote was an additional $499 over the Big Deal purchased. It's not consistant and just doesn't make sense.

This project is not yet complete. I've been waiting for him to call me to schedule installation.

The experience was a positive one and I enjoy my blackout blinds very much.

They installed my blinds but never provided the estimate or followup on my valences and window treatments. The sales rep said the installer would measure and send an estimate. Nothing ever came following the install of the initial blinds and so I will get someone else. If they will not call and follow up then they don't want my business.

Jeff was very nice and informative. It was a little bit of a wait on the actual shades but when they did arrive he was there to install them right away. These are very good shades and may be a little pricey but they look beautiful.

He showed on time and was very professional. I have used him one other time since purchasing the big deal and he always does great work.
