AMBROSE TV REPAIR SERVICE

Description of Work: Have a 65" large tube TV that is 13 years old. Called Ambrose TV and Dave introduced himself. We made arrangements for Dave to visit my home 2-3 days later and he made the picture look just like new. Nothing was broken but the screen and mirrors needed a good cleaning after 13 years.

Description of Work: Repaired 2 television sets that were damaged during a lightening storm. The one set kept shutting off every 10 minutes or so. A reset was performed on that TV. Only rarely now does the television just shut off. The second TV would not power on at all. The power supply was damaged. Ambrose ran the diagnostics on both TVs to identify the problems. Ambrose reset the one TV and ordered and installed new power supply for second TV.

Description of Work: TV repair was required for a set with sound but with no picture. Service charge of $25 was applied to final repair bill of about $150. If we had not paid a huge amount for this TV, would not have had it repaired since TV prices are so low. TV works fine and have no problem with Ambroses. |However, I will not return to Brookline for anything in the future. There are no signs anywhere in the area indicating that the street in front of the store is pay parking. The only sign said, 2 hour limit and it had been removed when I returned to pick up the TV. The drop off took less than 5 min at 9 am in a depressed area near Pittsburgh. A super nasty female traffic enforcer must have been hiding in a nearby driveway since she was writing me a ticket for $25 on my return. This is the reason I will not return to Brookline. Too bad for Brookline businesses who rely on out of community support.

Description of Work: They replaced the BNC cable connector that had been broken off. |I called Ambrose TV and being a 32" flat screen it was easy for me to drop off at the shop. He gave me a estimate of 75.00 if a new board was not needed. If a new board was needed it would probably not have been worth replacing. I was required to leave a $20.00 deposit that could be applied to the repair cost. He said it would take a few days and I picked up the TV the following week. The price came in a little higher at 87.00 but the work was done well.

Description of Work: Repaired the TV. The picture would not come on until about 1-2 hours after you turned on the TV. When I explained it over the phone, he knew right away what the problem was. He came out when he said he would and fixed the problem that was very complex, but he knew exactly what to do. The back of the TV had to be removed and some parts had to be soldered in.
