+ -1 moreI was in a hurry, and simply called the best rated supplier on Angie's List. This was my first time buying bulk firewood, and I think I paid way too much. I paid for my inexperience, and for being in a hurry. The delivery truck was 45 minutes late. I almost had to leave before they got there for another commitment. There were two people delivering. I had them take the wood up a ramp to the side of my house. I even helped wheelbarrow the wood up. I carted more than 1/3 of the wood. Then they had the audacity to demand $5 extra because the delivery was difficult. The wood was supposed to have been kiln dried, but every fire I've had so far has had a strong hiss as the moisture in the wood boils away. I'm definitely shopping around next year. I don't know that I got a bad deal, but it sure feels like it.
Description of Work: They delivered 1/2 a face cord of firewood to my house.

+ 0 moreBECAUSE WE HAD SUCH A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THE FIREWOOD WE RECEIVED, WE ALSO ASKED THEM TO COME BACK AND REMOVE TWO TREES, WHICH THEY DID WITHIN A FEW DAYS. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK AND THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE CREW WHO CAME. PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND COMPARABLE TO OTHER ESTIMATES WE'VE HAD.
Description of Work: EXCELLENT WOOD, OAK, ASH AND MAPLE. AGED TWO YEARS AND CUT INTO NEAT LOGS, SO IT IS NICE AND DRY AND BURNS BEAUTIFULLY. WOOD WAS STACKED EXPERTLY WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED. THESE FOLKS ARE REALLY FRIENDLY AND OBVIOUSLY ENJOY THEIR WORK.
