Even though their schedule was tight, hey were able to squeeze us in so our dogs would have a yard when we moved into our new home. The crew was personable and professional, showing up at the appointed time and completing the job within a reasonable time. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Went out of their way to get work done before very bad weather set in. Price was much better than other quotes. Very pleased.

The person came out to look at where the fence needed to go. Complained that it was too difficult and hilly (it was not for the company I did hire). Couldn't provide the wooden portion of the fence needed, would just do chainlink. after all his huiffing and puffing and complaining, I said well, nevermind.

I was extremely pleased with all aspects of my contact with Affordable Fences. My call was returned within twelve hours. An estimate was provided within a few days. When I explained my special circumstances (moving onto a busy road with three dogs) an effort was made to schedule the work as soon as possible. Dave, the main installer, was personable and professional, answering all of my questions and providing a quick and impressive installation. The fence is beautiful and definitely sets off my new home. I have had many compliments on the fence already; it was worth every penny!

Overall a good experience. Hired them to install chain link at my house, during the busy part of the summer. The wait for install was no longer than any other company I contacted. They are family owned, which I appreciate. The was a discrepancy in the measurement of where the fence would be installed, but after checking my record of our conversations, and the company doing the same, it was pretty clear that it was a simple communication error. The installers brought the wrong material, but they quickly corrected the issue, and still completed the job in the allotted time. I would use them again, and most importantly (I feel) the fence looks and works great!

My experience working with them was very positive. They offered me more fencing options and better prices than the other fence installer I got a quote from. More specifically, they proposed an aluminum rail fence, which I hadn't considered before and which looks way better than the chain link I'd been leaning towards. The person who wrote the quote for me gave me good advice, both about choosing the best fence for my dog and about choosing the fence that would look best in the yard. It took some time for us to schedule the job because my work schedule is very full at the moment, and they got rained out on the first day we'd scheduled for. They came on the date we'd agreed on as a back-up, arrived promptly, and installed the fence in one day. They went over the plan and the fence-line carefully before they started, answered all of my questions, and they did a very nice job on the installation. So my experience was very positive, start to finish. I would recommend them to others needing fencing.

We chose Affordable after obtaining several other quotes. Affordable Fence estimator was able to explain in detail exactly what type of product would be used. Installation was done two weeks from the date of acceptance and the company was good enough to work with us to have the fence installed prior to my scheduled surgery. The installer was very experienced and detailed in his work. We are very happy with our choice of product and contractor.

Initially all went well, i had trouble with people calling me back with another provider and this company called me back within a day and within a few days was out to give me a quote, i was getting a vinyl privacy fence and i needed a railing for my front steps also. The guy was nice came for the quote and said he would get back to us before the end of the week. (It was a tuesday when he came out) A week and a half later there was no call so i called and left a voicemail and got nothing back, so two days after that i called again and a man did pick up. He then informed me that he wasnt going to give me a quote anymore because two of his guys were hurt and they dont have the equipement needed for our yard (some part needed to be drilled through stone). Well thats fine but i was waiting for almost two weeks for his quote. He could of just called and let me know so i didnt have to keep waiting for him and calling him for two weeks. He didnt even apologize for making us wait. He was apparently just going to never call us back and let us know he wouldnt take the job. NOT professional at all!!

really expensive and couldn't do the work in the time I needed it to be done.

The workmanship is great. I felt sorry for the installer. He was short some pieces and had to go back to Pgh to get them. We live about 35 miles outside of Pgh. All in all, it's a great job and I would use them again.

I called to get an estimate for a fence and they basically told me that my job wasn't big enough for them to worry about during their and quot;busy seasonand quot;. They did not provide any recommendations or service whatsoever and made me feel like I was hassling them by even being in contact.

We were very pleased with the vinyl railing that Affordable Railing installed on our front porch and steps leading up to our porch. We called for an estimate and they came at the scheduled time. Mark was very helpful and gave us the estimate. He told us that it would take several weeks before the railing would be delivered and installed, but they actually had called us and had it installed within a week. We were very pleased with their work and the worksite was left clean. We would recommend this company.

My back yard has a pretty good sized slope to it, so the installer had to work with a lot of variation in ground level. I explained that I would be adding a cat-proof fence topper to the chain-link fence and the installer was great about installing the fence without gaps so that it would be a fully enclosed area that would keep my cats safely inside. I was very happy with the job, the time they took in putting the fence up, and the shape they left my back yard in when done. I would recommend them without hesitation.

From the estimate, when I was presented with options for materials and installation to the actual installation, they were a pleasure to deal with. As I went through the process of getting a homeowner's association approval and the relevant permits, they were very helpful in providing information. The installation proceeded as soon as I had the approvals and permits. It was done quickly and professionally.

BEWARE! After deciding to use Affordable Fence, we were provided with a contract that I marked up with my comments, which included what was agreed upon when we walked the property and discussed our fence, or were standard industry requests per other fence contracts we've dealt with in the past. My husband is a doctor and I am a transactional/corporate attorney. We are both professionals, and I deal with contracts every day. Our only intent was to lay out the intentions of both parties so no one was surprised or unhappy at the end of the day. (I would be happy to provide you with a copy of my mark up of the contract if you would like to see my changes - I wish I could post a copy of it on this website.) When you're spending $10,000+ on a fence, I think that's pretty reasonable. Once they received the contract back from us, we were told that we had and quot;completelyand quot; changed the contract, and that they were going to pass on our job. When we asked for an explanation - we were told that they didn't think they could make us happy, and our changes were not acceptable to them. We were shocked by their reaction to the mark up - as we had discussed all of the items that we inserted, or which added clarity to our project, or which were industry standard provisions. Apparently, they prefer that customers do not negotiate their contracts and stick to company terms (like they are doing YOU a favor by you giving THEM business). This essentially amounts to a contract of adhesion (customer has no bargaining power). No, Thank you. Also - in our initial contract, we had selected an industrial grade fence, but they were going to provide us with residential grade gates - so the gates wouldn't match the fence! We didn't appreciate this cost-cutting... and I'm glad my husband picked up on it. They promptly switched the gates to industrial grade to match the fence once my husband called them out on that. So, we're going with another company. Affordable Fence's price was the lowest, but if they don't think they could have met our expectations as far as quality - we are probably better off in the end. Maybe it would have turned out ok, but maybe not. As the saying goes... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Very well, job was completed as contracted. Would highly recommend.

My husband called Affordable fence in the middle of October to get an estimate to fence our back yard, George was in the area so he called us and said he could be out within the hour to measure our yard and talk to us about what we wanted. My husband and I were pleased with such a quick response. The next day Brian the office manager called us with the estimates for fencing the yard using only black chain link or using a combination of both black chain link and commercial aluminum fencing. My husband and I talked it over and decided to go with the combination of both materials. We drove out and gave a deposit, and was told it could be up to 6 weeks before installation would be done. We called Bill who makes the appointments for the workers around the 15th of November and he told us Dave would be installing our fence starting Monday the 19th and it would take 3 days.He also told us Dave would call Us over the weekend before starting the job on Monday. Dave called and he and his helper Charles were here promptly early in the morning. They were excellent workers, courteous, friendly and Dave went over everything with my husband before starting the job. We knew upfront if they had to jackhammer any of the holes for the post there would be an additional charge and 5 holes did have to be jackhammered because we are on rock. Dave completed the job on Wednesday the 21st, and everything looked fine and the gates worked well. However within the next couple of days the double gate was not closing properly, my husband called and Dave came right out the next day and fixed the problem, 1 post had dropped al little. The fence looks beautiful and we are very pleased with everything .We would highly recommend Affordable Fence and railing and would not hesitate to use them again.

Contractor requested to begin work on a sunday and finish on monday. None of his start times were anywhere near the actual times. I thought the foreman, Dave, pretty much listened to what I told him about half the time. I found I had to watch them all the time to get what I wanted. An example is I asked the foreman to move his truck ahead so they would not have to walk against my bushes which was completely dismissed. The final product was all right. However, on one end of the fencing the stiffener was not completely connected to the fence. I elected to fix this myself and not have to deal with them anymore.

Pricing is a bit high but the service thus far is fantastic. Jim is excellent and Brian called me within the next 24 hours with pricing over the phone.

Over a week has passed since my initial contact and I still have not received an estimate.

Called company requesting estimate for replacement of wooden gate and chain link gate for yard. I requested an on site visit for a specialized/modified installation, but the receptionist inisted they would have to do an over-the-phone estimate for the installation. I agreed to this provided they would follow-up w/ a visit and formal estimate. There was no return phone call.from the company.

The installation team was excellent. These guys worked hard and got the project done well and super fast. They were really professional and willing to adapt to conditions. It was tough to get the job scheduled during the busy season. But they delivered well and I am super pleased with my fence. I highly recommend them. Stay close to Bill in the scheduling department and he will take care of you. All in all, a great experience.

This is actually the third time I used Affordable Fencing. Apx 18 years ago we had the original wood fence that tapered down to the chain link fence. At that time they were professional and dependable. About 3 years after that I purchased my in-laws a fence and went back to Affordable Fence, and as they did for me, they did a wonderful job for them. As with everything, nothing last forever and I had to replace the chain link this year. I was so pleased when I called the office and got a real person answering the phone. This was on a Wed. on Thursday, the estimate was out and we received the estimate via phone on Friday - wow... quick service. During this time we had called two other fencing company - one never called back and the other called about 5 days after we left a message. He was advised that the job was taken by Affordable. Dave did the installation of the fence and I must say he called the night before with a time, and he was here !!!! I felt so bad on the Friday that he was do the installation of the fencing to the post, it POURED... He with his rain gear got the job done. I would recommend Affordable Fence to anyone and will be using them when I have to replace the wood portion of the fencing. Thank you Affordable Fence!!!

We have recommended them before. They were professional and quick. They came out and walked the yard with us. We showed them where we wanted the fence and they showed us how they could put it up. They installed it in a couple of days. It is fantastic. It has held up great. I have not had any problems with it. The gates work very well and it is sturdy. It is mostly to keep my dog in the back yard and it has done its job well. we had absolutely zero complaints. There was nothing to complain about.
