Ace Cleancare

The kid that runs Ace cleancare tries to be very professional. They left thank you letters and gave me a purchase order for the service even though this was just a craigslist side job. I can appreciate that. The overall job was a different story though. After they finished their day of staining, I reviewed the work. Only the very top part of all boards were stained and they actually missed one entire railing on the deck. Additionally, stain had now dripped all over concrete slabs that existed underneath my deck. This was due to the fact that the primary contact for my job let his friend stay and finish the job. I would have to believe that the friend had no experience in doing such a job because I could've done a lot better myself. When they returned, they did a quick job to cover the spots that went previously untreated and I cut them a check for the completion of the job. Ace does call and check-in on the work and how it is holding up. Several weeks ago, I had told them that my deck is now showing severe wear in spots only after a few months. They said that they would stop by to review the issue. Never heard from them since and I'm sure they won't check up on me anytime soon. Unfortunately, their stain job didn't even hold up through the summer. I have now stained and sealed the deck myself this summer after a poor job. Overall, you get what you pay for here. Cheap price, rookie work. The guy seems nice though, so hopefully jobs that were done later in the summer got better.
