Family Floors

I have been using them for many years. They are very reliable and I like that they are family owned. They do a good range of flooring and they are good at everything. It might take a little while to get them scheduled.

I visited their storeroom. It looks small but they have a ton of product to choose from. They scheduled a time and date to come for the estimate and arrived when they said they would. I agreed to the terms and received a call a few days later to schedule the installation. The cost may seem high for the size of my bathroom but about half of my subfloor had to be completely replaced so there was a lot of extra work involved. Day of installation they arrived on time. They were very nice. After about 2 hours one of them did leave (he was a very tall guy and my bathroom was so small that for both of them to try to work in it was difficult so they agreed he could leave). It probably took much longer with only one of them than two, but that was fine with me. When it was complete the only part I wasn't happy with was the clear caulk he had put around the tub, as my tub has some rust spots along the bottom and they were showing through it. Without any complaint he redid the caulk in white and it looks perfect. I am planning on getting some new carpeting and will definitely look at FF again for that job.

I am extremely pleased with the carpeting, flooring, and service from Family Floors. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I got an estimate from a big name company and found the price comparable. If you want professionals who deliver what they promise, go with Family Floors!

I didn't use them because they were a little more than what I wanted to pay them for and my wife and I ended up doing the job ourselves. He came out and did a nice job. We went into the store and we had found them on Angie's List. We liked them because they were a small family company. We went into the store and we met the guy's wife. The store was very small. She helped us out and gave us some samples. Her husband came out a couple of days later as per the appointment, measured everything, sat and talked to us for a while, and he was a nice guy. I definitely would use them again in the future.

Everything went well. I was satisfied with the work.

I have used Chick and Chuck for several jobs and have recommended him to many friends (I found them through a recommendation). They did an unusual installation for me most recently and it came out beautifully. They've done carpet and other jobs for me too. Nice folks.

From the time they estimated the costs for kitchen ceramic tiles and linoleum, through changes due to material sizes, to finished product, they were very careful to plan ahead, check exact measurements of the tiles (it turned out the same inch - markings on can be quite different for different companies) and tell me when there was a problem. Instead of waiting until the last minute, they pointed out height differences that others had missed. Some were meant for walls and others were floor tiles. When I walked in after being away all day, I was pleasantly surprised that they had placed the tiles EXACTLY as we had talked about, instead of changing it here and there, as people often do. Also, they had patience with me when there were timing problems and adapted to my needs! The only very slight fault was that I was left to put a finishing coat on myself, and before I could get to it, ended up sick with the flu for a month - so I wished that had been included. I would return to them again!

Excellent experience with Family Floors, who were referred to us by a colleague who also has used them for many years. Always polite, friendly, and efficient on the phone, and showed up promptly to give an estimate. Gave an honest opinion with likely range of options on the spot, followed up by written estimate with clear price range, dependent on what might be uncovered when the old floor would be removed. Showroom is small but plenty of excellent options and we chose a special order tile at no extra cost. Work was easily scheduled and Chuck arrived on time on the scheduled day. He worked fast, clearly communicating everything as the project moved along. Had the plumbing fixtures out and the old floor removed and surface prepared on day 1, the new floor in on day 2, some minor finish work on day 3. His father Chick showed up and helped some days, also polite and professional. For a small added price we had him re-grout and caulk around our tub/shower. Work was beautifully finished and cleaned up, and plumbing fixtures were re-installed. Without us asking, Chuck replaced many of the visible plumbing lines behind our pedestal sink and toilet, in clean white to match our bathroom! Truly a family business that we would recommend and use again!

When we signed a contract to have the work done (and paid a 50% deposit) they told us it would likely be 3-to-6 weeks before they could get there. It was less than 3 weeks when they called and said they had an opening the next day and could install. They arrived on time in the morning. They eliminated some squeaks in the old floor, removed appliances, applied the leveler, installed the flooring, installed new cove molding under cabinets and reinstalled the appliances all before 5pm. I was concerned about one area that was slightly bubbled, but they assured me it would flatten out - and told me to call if it did not. It did flatten in a couple of days, as promised. The new flooring looks great, and we're very satisfied.

Very successful; we are very pleased with the selection of carpet and the installation. These are good people to do business with.

Chick came to our home right on time with many samples of our options for both carpet and laminate flooring. He provided us with a written estimate at the end of our meeting that was very reasonable. We were called quickly to schedule the installation, and Chuck arrived exactly as scheduled ready to remove our old carpet and install the new product. The installation went as described, and the overall experience was wonderful.
