RUN RUN RUN PAST THIS PLACE. Do NOT stop to even browse their inventory. It is not worth the hassle. You may be inclined to stop in because of their story about being a family owned business, but they do not exemplify the values and service that usually accompany such establishments. We ordered a washer/ dryer and a refurbished refrigerator. And they were great on the sales side. All smiles and nice, but when it came to everything after we paid it was another story. First, the refurbished refrigerator mysteriously needed a part two days before it was to be delivered. Why that part couldn?t have been ordered and installed during the month that it was in their store waiting for our house to be ready, I do not know. We ordered the appliances in August, and when it came time to deliver in September (a full month later) they had to push the delivery date back another week. That might not have been a big deal but we were moving into a house that had none of these appliances. And for some reason the part for the refrigerator also caused them to not be able to deliver the wash/ dryer. So on the scheduled delivery date we had 0 of the 3 appliances that were paid for a month in advance. When delivery day finally came (a week late), they also managed to deliver the dryer without the side vent as requested. Not only that, but the delivery guy was rude to my wife, and the sales person was rude to me when I called to sort the matter out. All they wanted to do was argue and disavow any knowledge of the conversation about side venting the dryer. We only looked at dryers that could be side vented. We walked into the store stipulating that we only wanted to consider dryers that could be side vented because we knew that it would be necessary for our laundry room. I requested that they pay for the side venting because of all of the hassles and mix ups that had accompanied these appliances. They refused. I walked them through the sequence of events and detailed my frustrations, and they refused. No consideration was given to me as the customer. Not only that, but the water/ ice maker has not worked refrigerator since they delivered it. Today it?s two weeks after the original delivery date and someone has finally come to look at the refrigerator. We found out from the appliance repairman that they kinked the hose during the installation/ delivery. I?m keeping my fingers crossed that these appliances will hold up as I want to avoid any further dealings with this company. They are not what they claim to be on their website. They are a pure sales organization with no consideration for their customers after the sale. I?m hoping that I do not have to deal with them in the future as this has not been a good experience. It has been the most frustrating ordeal. This is not what I thought would be involved in ordering from a family business. I should have gone to Home Depot or Sears.

The sales people at Queen are nice and they make an effort to match or beat best pricing. Beyond that, I can't say I am overly impressed. While products arrived on time and were the correct appliances, we are having an issue with our Danby Beverage Center. The compressor makes a very loud clank when it shuts off. Getting this resolved with Queen Appliance has been an issue as it is very hard to connect with someone live, and when you leave a message response time is typically two to three days. When I finally did speak with my sales contact, he told me he would look into it and eventually called me back with the 800 service number for Danby....I could have gotten that on my own rather than wait two days for this informaton from Queen. I was hoping Queen would help in resolving, but it was clear that this was my problem. Regardless, I called Danby and they gave me the name of a registered service technician who came out and looked at the product. He confirmed that the compressor is bad and reported this to Danby who informed me to call Queen to set up a replacement. So, I called Queen on Friday, March 22nd and was informed someone would be in touch with me by Monday, March 25th to schedule replacement delivery. Today is Wednesday, March 27th and I have yet to hear anything....I just called them again and left a message for my sales contact. I have read several negative reviews since deciding to go through Queen. I wish I had done my due dilligence and researched Queen Appliance prior to deciding to purchase my appliances from them. While I have not had major issues, I have not gotten any support from Queen in resolving this issue and I have enough on my plate with a kitchen remodel. If a product does not work properly, the supply store should stand behind the product and replace it without putting the customer through all the hassle. The impression I get from the people at Queen is that this is a nuisance and they would prefer I just go away. Before you purchase products through Queen Appliance, I would strongly suggest you read all the reviews you can on this place. If you decide to purchase through them, understand that they will basically act as a broker to get you the product, but will provide minimal support when you need to resolve an issue.

Caveat emptor! Caveat emptor! Caveat emptor! The mentality here is strictly scratch and dent. Prices are competitive (not better, just equal with the lowest prices of others), but watch it. The model we wanted (a highly recommended pick by Consumer Reports) was not in stock, so we had to ask about features we could not see with our own eyes. Surprise! When the appliance was delivered, it (wall oven) did not have the roll-out bottom rack we wanted and had specifically asked about, more than once. Calls to the store went unanswered (hence the D for professionalism). When we looked on the invoice, it said "special order", the implication being that we were responsible for not getting what we wanted. What is "special" about an order for a very common model because they don't have it in stock. We have bought there before. Sometimes it went OK, sometimes we came out unhappy (having to lie about the price to get the mail-in rebate they said we would get). This was the last time. Appliance shopping is a pain, but we'll just go elsewhere.

Description of Work: first of all Queen Appliance does not do repairs as is listed for them.. Speaking on the phone to a salesman he had very few types of refrigerators that i was looking for. I felt like what they have is what you can get. I was not looking for a dent or scratch type of appliance. (which they are known for) When comparing the company I went with service to theirs on phone , this company went to a great deal of trouble to find what I needed. Queens charges for delivery, hooking up fridge, installing attachment for the water and ice, for taking old refrigerator away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The company I went with did not charge for any of these things! Those charges were not cheap either at Queens!I I feel that Queens is over-rated, and their extra charges are absurd. No other company I checked out charged for delivery or taking refrigerator away. Some would charge a small price for installing water attachment for ice ($17), but nothing else and they certainly didn't charge to take old refrigerator away! VERY DISAPPOINTED! Susan Morris

The first thing to mention is that Queen Appliance is not just for "scratch and dent" items, but also sells brand new items, which is what I was looking for. I had some strict constraints on what I wanted, particularly for the stove. These involved features that I was seeking, and also limitations on space and configuration. In addition, I wanted appliances that looked good together, as well as bundled to give me the best price. I dealt with Ed Richards, who is now a manager at their King of Prussia store. Ed spent a full month working with me to identify a suitable package (all Bosch), along with associated manufacturer rebates. The end result is that I am very happy with all of the appliances. If you know exactly what you want, you can probably find it elsewhere for a lower price. But if you want help in options and selecting the products, the price is well worth the value of the service they provide. The only problem was with the installation. I didn't like the way they were going to install the range hood, so I did it myself. And the dishwasher connection was installed with a slight leak. As soon as I notified Ed of this, he sent out a different person for the installation, who was a lot better. They apparently have some installation folks who are much better than others. In addition to the above, Ed assisted with a few related items. There were five different rebates associated with the purchase. There were issues receiving a couple of them from the manufacturer. Ed followed up with the manufacturer to ensure I received one of them. For the other one, Queen Appliance made good on the rebate even though the manufacturer would not. Very reputable. Also, there was a problem with paint peeling from the stove knobs. Ed again followed up with the manufacturer's rep and he sent me a new set of knobs. It turns out that Bosch found a problem with their paint and finish, and sent me another set of knobs as well. All in all, I feel that I received products and service that were well worth the money spent. Ed and the other employees were extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive. I'm happy I decided to buy from this business.

I am very happy with Queen and am enjoying my beautiful "Bosch" appliances at a fraction of the cost elsewhere.
Description of Work: I made 2 purchases from Queen. Connie was a big help in getting my rebates together. Very Good Price on all my appliances. My first purchase about 3 years ago went well with the exception of a scratch and dent fridge that had to be repaired several times. But it was taken care of. Overall it was a good experience. The salesman was very knowledgeable and easy to work with....not at all pushy. The only negative I can recall is that we had to wait for 20 minutes while the salesman finished with another customer before he could wait on us.

I spent about $200 on that dryer. It is one of the few places where they have a large variety of used or scratched and dented appliances and the variety is good. Used appliances usually come with a 30 day guarantee because they are used and the one that I got did fail, but they replaced it with another one and obviously it wasn?t exactly the same model. It was no problem replacing it and I think it was actually over the 30 days. The people that helped me out there were fine and they were knowledgeable and there were no problems. The price was very good. When I bought the dryer I picked it up and brought home myself, but when it failed and because I did not have the availability of a vehicle, so they actually came and picked up the one that failed and delivered the other one. They charged me for it, but they showed up when they were supposed to, so that was fine.

The sales staff was very knowledgeable and professional. My kitchen has some challenges in fitting the appliances and they helped me find appliances that fit both my space and my needs. Pricing was excellent. They completed all the rebate forms for me in advance. All I needed to do was mail them. The installation was quick and efficient. When we discovered the dryer door would not latch properly, the installer noted the part to be replaced and the salesman called quickly to schedule a repair. The repair was done in a couple of days.

We had no prior experience with this company. We were later concerned that we may receive a unit from their "scratch-and-dent" stock, esp. given their aggressive pricing. I went back to the store to discuss with Ryan and he immediately showed me some pretty solid proof that they sell both regular stock and scratch-and-dent and proceeded to show me the price differentials, stock codes, and other behind-the-scenes info in their computer system that convinced me we purchased from their regular stock. Delivery and install went as planned the next day. They were on time and professional. The install crew had to do some quick thinking to fit the unit into the vacant dishwasher space, as the previous owners had not floored in correctly under the cabinetry. They did a great job improvising to give us a quality install. Their stores are not for everyone, as they're not dressed. They also highlight their scratch and dent stock more than their regular stock, in my opinion. We took a chance and found it to be an excellent experience. For our next appliance, Queen will be our first stop.
Description of Work: We purchased a rather high-end Bosch stainless steel tub dishwasher that was highest-rated on Consumer Reports. In this case, we knew the exact model we wanted and it was just a matter of shopping for the best deal and most trusted retailer/installer. Queen (Ryan was the salesman's name) gave us a quote with delivery and install to occur the very next day. We promptly took them up on the offer. I don't usually do that but the price breakdown was beyond our expectations and the quotes offered to us by other stores (Sears, most notably). Price breakdown: Bosch unit: Queen undercut Sears by a total of $65. This price discrepancy is notable, as Sears was having a huge sale where there was a price cut and an additional 10% taken off. Sears' "normal" sales price would have resulted in a differential of ~$120. Delivery and Installation (with removal of existing unit): Queen undercut Sears by a total of ~$60. Schedule: Sears couldn't deliver and install until 1-2 weeks after, whereas Queen happened to have the unit and availability of its crews.
