He was continuing to work on the drain and he stopped and told me it would be an additional 250.00.I thought 500.00 was excessive but I needed the job done so I agreed. 15 minutes later he said he was done. I flushed the toilet while ran water in the sink. next day the sink would not drain properly. I called the plumber and he said he would have to charge me to return. Description of Work: Our plumbing problems started about 6 weeks ago with a toilet in the guest room that kept running. Less than 10 days later we discovered a leak in the basement, caused by a saddle valve that was leaking. That ruined a wall, part of a ceiling, some furniture and part of the carpet. Then we had a toilet in the basement the pump of which kept running every 15 minutes. This was due to the toilet water running all the time. About 5 days after that we had a stain on the den ceiling caused by a connection from the wall to the master toilet that was leaking. All of these plumbing problems were fixed very satisfactorily by another plumber on Angie’s List, Tom Cooley. I can’t say enough about how good he is. When Tom was here he checked the water pressure coming into the house because I had heard from our home owner’s association that we in Chesterbrook have extremely high water pressure. Sure enough, it was at 200 psi. Recommended is around 60. We arranged to have Tom come back to install a flow reducing valve at the water meter. Unfortunately, he had to be out of town and was not able to complete this job right away. Everybody, needs some time off. Over the weekend, while Tom was away, I went under my kitchen sink to get the dishwasher soap. Guess what. Another leak! The water had dripped and bowed the floor of the cabinet and even when I turned the water off it continued to drip. I called American Plumbing because they were listed as an A list plumber, were within my area, and provided emergency service. This was on the Sunday of Hurricane Irene. Dan and Gar came out within about an hour and a half and found the problem. It was the hose for the sprayer attached to the faucet that was dripping. As you might expect they didn’t have a faucet with them and had other emergency calls to make. We put a pot under the drip and scheduled a visit for Tuesday. While Dan was here I also explained to him about the high water pressure. He checked the water meter pit and found that the old flow regulator was totally corroded. So he added that to the to do list. Today, all is well. The new flow regulator has brought the pressure down to 60 psi. I have a new faucet and all new valves under the sink – at my request. I can’t say enough about this company. They have done a wonderful job. They cleaned up after themselves. They doubled checked all their work. They kept me informed about what was going on. I would recommend American Plumbing to anyone.

Description of Work: replace 6 foot section of corroded interior iron drain pipe to septic tank with pvc. Added wye and p trap at my request for future use with humidifier/dehumidifier at no additional cost. Completed work same day as estimate. Completed in a few hours.

Description of Work: He has been out twice to check my sump pump. It ended up being ok, but he could have charged me additional fees, as I no little about sump pumps. He also took car of 2 of my faucets that were lacking pressure while he was there.

Description of Work: I returned from a 6 day vacation at 11 pm on January 5, 2011 to an overflowing toilet in the powder room on the first floor. I have no idea how long this went on but there was water everywhere. I turned off the water and decided to deal with it the next day. I called around 9 am, explained the problem. They were at my house within 45 minutes. They diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed it within an hour. They also told me that this was toxic waste, and I needed to sanitize. They recommended a company, called them, and then gave me the phone to schedule the appointment. They were extremely professional, I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Minor hot water heat issue that was quickly resolved. Good honest company. Like the other reviewers mentioned they charge for an estimate but it can be deducted from the bill.

Description of Work: Sewer backed up again. On President's Day holiday Monday. This time, it was a grease blockage. I guess we should have used the drain cleaner. Prompt, professional, successful. Nothing like having free-flowing sewer!

Description of Work: Dan Rolli came to clear the main sewer line in my home, but found it to be damaged and in need of replacement. He then returned two days later with a work crew and replaced the portion of the sewer line situated on my property.

Description of Work: On a rainy Sunday night, we searched for someone to come out and help us with a blockage in our sewer pipe. It was backing up into our basement. I found this man's card on the bulletin board in WAWA. He came out @ 9:00 on a rainy Sunday night. He solved the problem and just did a great job!!!
