 + -1 moreOn Sunday, 1/20/08, the coldest day of the year, the pipe connected to my steam heater sprang a huge hole, pouring water all over the basement. Bill Burns (whom I didn't know) came within an hour of my frantic call, assessed the problem and promised to return the next am with all supplies to fix the leak. He gave me several options, as replacement of the length of the pipe was expensive but a lot of it was on borrowed time and ready to also leak. Bill and his helper arrived promptly and were here for almost 8 hours. They were courteous and thorough and didn't leave until they were positive the house was heating up. Bill was concerned that I was satisfied with the cost and after seeing them at work, I believe I got more than my money's worth. I recommend Bill and his company to anyone. One of the best Angie's List finds!!
Description of Work: Shut down and drain heating system. Removed and replaced 20' of steel pipe with copper; replaced leaking section of pipe at heater. Filled system and checked all radiators, making adjustments.
