Description of Work: Mr. Proud himself showed up to do the estimate. He looked carefully at everything, made notes, and I liked him a lot. Since I see this company all over the city doing big commercial jobs, I asked him if they were really interested in a relatively small residential job (big for us, small for them), and he said yes. Follow-through, however, was very poor. I had to call more than once to ask for the estimate, and when they did send it they twice sent an estimate for only part of the work that we had asked about. I never did receive a complete estimate and I gave up. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and kept apologizing, saying how busy they were. I think I would have liked them very much but the lack of a real estimate put an end to the whole thing.

+ 1 moreThe homeowner had to work very persistently as a general contractor, coordinating the work on-site and between Company management and the actual work crews. It often took more than one email or phone call to get proper management response to move the work forward. In sum, the results were very good and the homeowner will continue using William Proud Masonry for ongoing maintenance.
Description of Work: Restored brick facade, wooden cornice, window and door trim of a downtown two-storey row home. Restored stucco of home's rear and rear patio. Installed large terra cotta (ceramic) pieces in patio concrete block/stucco wall. Wet saw-cut front sidewalk to expand tree well
