These guys were great. They showed up on time and did what the said they were going to do. They provided a video so I could see the results. This definitely helped me understand what needed to be done. Jim's son did the work and you could tell in the video that he took pride in his work to get it done right. I appreciate the professionalism and would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic as usual! We have previously worked with Jim W and his team on replacing the slate roof on our home so when we had this new issue arise with water pooling on the roof we immediately called We Care. Jim arrived and took a look inside the home, top to bottom to ensure water had not penetrated then, he videoed the outside, and had someone take a look on the roof and video tape, the issue. He followed up with visit to the home to review the video of the root cause, provided a very comprehensive estimate. We scheduled a date, the employees showed up on time, competed the work taking all the debris with them. They even installed a heat wire in our downspout to prevent water freezing in the winter months. Jim and We Care are fantastic and always do such a fantastic Job... We plan to contact them soon with some additional upgrades we'd like to have completed in our home.

Ronnie, thanks so much for your very hard work at installing the doors and for being on time and getting the work done neatly and on time. This remodel really could not have gone any better; I doubt I will find another contractor that is this great to work with!! Jim W. and his team did a fantastic job. I have received compliments from many of my neighbors, and at least one neighbor is meeting with Jim W. about having their door widened. From beginning to end, things went very smoothly. Jim W. met with me after hours to review his proposal and talk pricing. Once I made the decision to go forward with the project, things moved forward very quickly. The WeCare team members worked extremely hard, and cleaned up after themselves as promised. A number of neighbors even commented on how clean and tidy the team was and about how hard the team members worked. The Future Rock stone veneer is getting a LOT of notice and positive feedback; the design and color of the stones and mortar really complement each other and the brick that remains on the top half of my house. The whole project took just over two weeks. Jim W. kept me informed with daily updates, and made himself available to answer any questions that I had, which has not been my experience with other contractors. Another positive is that the WeCare team did all the work themselves, no subcontractors to deal with or worry about. WeCare also warranties their work. WeCare lived up to their name: the team did everything it could to make this a positive experience and to minimize any inconvenience. I would not hesitate to hire WeCare again; I am already planning to have them install a new back door and storm door next year!

It went seamlessly. The owner was on site at the beginning and end of he job to make sure everything went as promised. He has an excellent team who were very professional, friendly and cleaned up meticulously after completion. He is an excellent business owner and it was a pleasure doing business wit We Care.

The workers were punctual, polite, and professional. They cleaned up after the job was completed--it took about three hours.

We felt very confident in their abilities, trusted them and they tried to work with us within our costs. They are a family owned and operated business and made every attempt to accommodate us so we especially wanted to give them our patronage. A family member of ours offered to help (without pay) at the last moment so we could save on our budget and that is the only reason we didn't end up going with We Care Home Remodeling, otherwise we would highly recommend Jim and Jim.

Last week we had a leak in our roof in our rowhome. We called WeCare and got prompt service. We had met with this company earlier this week to discuss other projects, so we were familiar with Big Jim, as he had done a house-call to go over what we had planned. This is a family owned and operated business. Our construction plans changed however, as we ended up with a leak in our roof after all the rain we've been getting. Big Jim had his team there the next morning to provide an assessment. The assessment was videotaped and our roofing issues were explained to us thoroughly. We decided to go with the white rubber roofing, and they had their team out there the next day to begin working on this project. The came a few days later to finish the project as the project required 2 coats of white rubber. They videotaped the process from the assessment and both days that they worked on the roof and sent us a dvd upon completion. I was very impressed by the professionalism of this company. This company works well from the business side as well as from the construction side. They are very prompt, take time to explain processes, and provide video taped evidence of the work that they do. I would use this company again as I feel that they value the customer's business and have over 35 years of experience. One reason I chose the white rubber roofing is that it does not get as hot as black tops, and therefore may help to keep the temperature of the second floor down during hot summer months. It also comes with a 10 year warranty which gave me piece of mind that if we have any problems, We Care provide service. After the 10 years, we pay for another coating and then have another 10 years. Rather than chance it, I thought we ought to invest in this to keep our home dry. I would work with this company again!

Everything went very well they arrived on time and we introduced ourselves, I watched most of the process because of my concerns about roofers and things i have heard about untruths being told to homeowners to get more money. But they where the complete opposite. They where honest and forthright letting me know that I did not need anything other than what I paid for and that my main roof was in fine shape to the contrary of what I was told but other roofers. I will definitely use them again because of the trust that was built between me and Jim W the owner and his employees.

Again, the work started on time and was finished in a timely manner. The front of the house looks great and more importantly there are no leaks!!! Since the work was done we have had some heavy downpours and none of that water came in the house. Such a relief. My wife and I are very pleased with We Care. We look forward to using We Care for our wish list of home improvements.

They quoted me an over inflated estimate. I was furious because I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. I was so up set I called and left them a message stating how excessive the estimate was. I mentioned that the other three estimates I procured were within a hundred dollars or so of each other. They did get back to me and said there was a mistake in the quote of about $ 1,700 which was still about $1,700 higher than the others. Before committing be sure to get several estimates you'll be glad you did. I read the feedback by , We Care Guaranteed and I was upset to say the least. It is a total untruth. The Owner Jim was there . He spoke to me the entire time while his son was assessing the property. I must repeat the owner was there. Why they would deny that is unknown to me. That is an outright lie. The owner was using some form of ambulatory assistance device, however. Incapacitated, He managed to exit the vehicle without any assistance from his son. Once I left a message the owner did get back to me and told me that I was being double charged for the labor, and he did say that everything else seemed accurate. I don't know how accurate it was because their estimate was $1,700 higher than the other three estimates. No the service was not performed. I did mark NO when asked if services were performed. I was not tying to mislead anyone. I CAN'T Believe that they are saying Jim wasn't there!

Jim called often to check on how things were going and afterward to make sure the work was done right.

Jim W. and his team were excellent to work with. They were extremely punctual, accommodating and went out of their way to thoroughly explain all of the services. I never felt forced or pushed into purchasing services I wasn't comfortable with. The windows and doors look fantastic. I feel like we have a new house! They also completed a substantial amount of work in one day, so it was fantastic to not have it dragged out over a long period of time. They really did great work and were so pleasant to work with, we will definitely be using them again and highly recommend to other people.

The salesman wanted to come to the house to review again the work to be done and was patient when I changed the date and time due to my work. They also made the very good suggestion that I have a "leak detection report" done and it was very helpful.

My wife and I are pretty amazed at the wonderful and pleasant experience we had in dealing with Jim and the entire We Care team. There professional approach and timely execution has made us true believers that there are still a few contractors out there who take pride in there work. The professionalism expressed from our initial call, through to the completion of the job was executed with perfection. We have a number of projects on our to do list and because of this wonderful experience will be calling on the We Care family for there expertise and attention to detail.

Jim & his team were incredibly thorough with our project and provided us with a myraid of options. We were replacing front doors and part of an entryway in our rehabbed South Philly rowhome, and had great interest in preserving the charm/character of the house. The We Care folks are very well-versed in working with Philadelphia city homes and provided us with great options. They also didn't bat an eye at our request to redo the transom (glass above the door) and offered many suggestions. Other providers either refused to do this work and directed us to independent contractors or had no idea what we were talking about, even after visiting us in our home. Although their prices came in a little higher than other estimates we received, we chose them because of their door options (other places looked just like anything I could get at a big box store) and their ability to do the entire project. The project was done in about two days and the crew worked hard to get it done before an approaching storm. We initially chose not to replace our storm door to save money and We Care complied with that even though they had offered us estimates on a new storm door. They did not push us to up the sale. When the initial work was completed it became obvious to us that our old storm door was taking away from the new overall look and we went with the new storm door option. We Care ordered it quickly and completed the rest of the job within a few weeks, despite our last-minute request and the other jobs they had lined up. Jim followed up frequently with us during & after the project to make sure things were going smoothly and came by the house to check on the quality of the work. There were never any hidden or additional fees that popped up during the project - it was completed exactly how he promised and exactly at the agreed price.

This company puts on 'green' roofs, it's white rubber. I had been very interested in the white rubber roof and checked it out. I sent an email to Big Jim, and he called me the same day. I told him I was looking to get a new roof and wanted to get an estimate. He had his son over within 2-3 days to check out my current roof. The great thing about this company, is they take a video of everything! When Big Jim came over to talk with me and show me the video, he was very upfront and said I could probably get another couple of years with my current roof and get a coating (I forget what the coating was called) put on it. He also pointed out on the video that there were large gaps around my windows and they should be caulked. How cool is that, I would have never seen my roof with out the video! We talked about the options available and settled on the less expensive roof. He also included sealing all of the windows in my house. I felt the cost was reasonable and decided to go ahead and get it done. I think his son was over there 2 days later and got the roof done. While they were there, I called Jim and asked if they would take down an old satellite dish that I no longer needed and they took it off. I was happy to see that it was gone when I got home! They initially forgot to caulk the windows, but I called and they were there the next day and took care of it. They noticed that the large window in my living room had some 'issues'. It's the only window that hasn't been replaced. It's been about 2-3 weeks and Big Jim called and left a message that he just put in a window and thought I might like it. His follow through is great, they live up to their name! They really do care! I highly recommend this company, I would recommend them to my family and friends!

Before I begin to summarize our experience with We Care's services, I would like to apologize to Jim W, We Care's president. We Care completed the project mid-December and I have put off my review for almost 3 months. His company's excellence of work deserved a more prompt review. We contacted Jim in May to give us an estimate to save and enhance the first floor exterior wall, doorway and windows. The wood framing to 2 doorways and window was decaying and rotting from years of inattention. We also wanted to remove one of the two doorways and have the opening sealed to free up wasted interior space. Additionally, the rear exterior kitchen and basement wall required new stucco work and repairs to damage our wall incurred during remodelling of our neighbors home. A long unused exterior entry to our basement required either installation of a new doorway or permanent enclosure. Our kitchen windows were old and drafty and needed to be replaced. Jim was meticulous in documenting the current condition of the areas of concern using video and audio recording, detailing our desires and concerns as well as recommendations. On completion of the tour of our property Jim sat with my wife and myself to discuss what he saw and his proposals, as well as listen to our concerns and questions. We developed a strong rapport from the onset, and my wife and I appreciated his frankness and enjoyed his spirited presentation. Jim's son Justin and coworker Greg began the job on the scheduled date and arrived on time every morning and worked diligently and in a businesslike fashion. They performed all carpentry related issues, window removal and replacement, removal of one door and sealing the cavity, and removal/replacement of another front door; they also installed a pent wood structure above the front picture windows and door with recessed dome lighting. These guys were not time wasters and performed each task until they were satisfied that it was done right and to our satisfaction. If we had concerns they addressed them promptly and explained procedures and methodsbeing used. We couldn't have been more pleased with both of them as they were personable and very accommodating. They were very cognizant of our 2 cats and Pug and Schnauzer and were careful in their movements within the house while keeping the dogs contained. At the end of each day they ensured each work area was cleaned up and all tools/hardware were stowed properly. Two other employees (I've forgotten their names because the work was performed almost three months ago and were here only a few days),a father and son also, were responsible for applying a future rock veneer to the front of the house. The results were spectacular. They were real craftsmen and very detailed in their work. They were able to work around obstacles with deftness and aplomb, blending every element perfectly.They also stuccoed the back wall of the house and enclosed an old Bilko entrance with new wall and slider window providing much needed light in our basement laundry area. The crew thoroughly cleaned up upon completion of the project and removed all waste and debris. Jim also employed a small crew to remove old roofing above our kitchen and replace with a modified rubber roof. The crew completed the job in about a day and a half and left the roof and back yard in great shape. Additionally, Jim employed 2 other gentlemen to replace an upstairs bathroom sash window that had a completely rotted sill and was a faucet for air and moisture. The repair and replacement were done flawlessly and the space is so much better as a result because the bathroom is unheated. Throughout the project, which ran approximately 3 weeks, Jim and his son James would stop by to check the progress of the work and to ask if we had any concerns about the project. During the project we were blessed with agreeable weather. On the handful of days inclement weather was expected Jim communicated to us promptly that his crew would delay work until conditions permitted work to continue. Upon completion of the project Jim did a walk through with us to ensure our satisfaction. We were very happy with the results. We had one issue that needed to be addressed and Jim promptly had Justin and Greg return the following day to make one additional adjustment to the job. Justin even replaced two risers and treads to a stairway that was very unsafe. His and Justin's carpentry skills are top notch and they work together very well. My wife and I highly recommend We Care and Jim, his sons and the rest of their professional, courteous crew. Thanks so much for a job well done!

They were here when they promised and they did a real nice job. I think the price was pretty good. They were professional. I've already used them a few times before.

Their quote was in the ballpark. They provided me a video of what my roof actually looks like and then they will show me a video after the work is done to show me what it looks like.

The is the third major project (and report) on We Care. I used this company previously for a high quality replacement for my front entrance and then a year later for installing an insulated door at the rear of the house. This family operated outfit has proved to be one of my best Angieslist discoveries. Their products are of high quality and their service is very professional. Clean-up was perfect. During the completion of the above mentioned work, I found that there was never a problem reaching Jim W., owner, who answered my phones and emails immediately. As part of the removal of the old siding it became apparent that a 12-year-old outdoor spotlight should be replaced. The company installed a new one (with bulb) for no extra charge. In a similar thoughtful way, during the course of the work the rear steps had to be detached from the shed. That done, the workers brought to my attention that where the steps were attached to the shed a lot of the wood was rotted. They remedied the problem with new wood and reinforced the wooden stairway. Now the rear stairs are much more stable and will probably last me quite awhile. We Care, Inc. provided me with a short video on DVD that records the work on the rear shed as it was being done. Now my home heater is running less. There are no drafts anymore. The temperature in the pantry is at least 10 degrees warmer!

As a company and as individuals these guys are awesome. Big Jim aka "The Boss" takes time to explain what needs to be done. His sons are extremely professional and good at what they do. If there is ever any issue with the work they would get on it and resolve it no questions asked. I would recommend them with ANY work that you need around the house.

The work was completed timely and to my satisfaction. I will use this company again for other projects that I need to have done. I am very satisfied with We Care!!

I've called We Care three times over the past few years and each time they've told me that they were not comfortable bidding on my job. So why do they get an A? 1. I appreciate being told by a contractor flat out that they're not going to bid on my job. It beats waiting for an estimate that never arrives or following-up only to not have your calls returned. If both sides don't feel good about the job, then it's time to move on and the sooner I know that I won't be getting a bid, the better. 2. Each time I've called, the person I spoke to spent 20-30 minutes on the phone with me discussing the problem, pointing me towards possible solutions, and even referring me to other contractors. They've invariably been friendly and helpful. So I've never hired them, but I get a good feeling about the company and I'll likely call them in the future if something comes up.
