They were prompt and very professional. We had a minor problem with the door after it was installed and they came right out and corrected the problem. I would use them again in the future.

 + -1 moreI did not give this company the job to replace my windows based on their higher costs and lack of a professionally prepared, formal estimate.
Description of Work: I elected not to go with the We Care Free Estimates Company despite the high ratings on Angie’s List. Mr. Weigold came out to our condo and surveyed the windows using a digital video camera, digital still camera and a digital recording device to record the measurements. I was reminded of the movie character Mr. Gadget. He walked around the unit giving a narrative on the video and describing the job. I expected a thorough presentation based on what he did but that was not the case. I had to contact him to ask about the status of the estimate. When I did receive the estimate, I felt that it was not prepared in a professional manner and was not presented in the standard business formats I have received other estimates. There was no specific identification of the manufacturer of the windows he was going to install. No delineation of measurements for each window or identification of the product name, manufacturer or composition of the window to be installed. I was very disappointed in the presentation of the estimate. The price was not included in the estimate but in an email accompanying the estimate. Without specifics contained in the estimate, I was concerned that the company was not providing me with a description of the product they were going to install and that makes me worry about the potential for a bait and switch. I feel you should include specifics of the manufacturer, product name, style and cost for each window to be installed. I felt the presentation lacked professionalism and detail. I chose not to use this company because of the lack of specificity in the estimate and that the cost was 1200 dollars more than another company that provided specific details in their estimate.

 + 2 moreThey started promptly and worked fast. We had some bad weather, but as soon as it was safe to work outdoors they were back. They were very professional and friendly. If problems arose they informed me right away.
Description of Work: There were several areas of the building that needed work; the roof, the windows and the brick walls. They resurfaced the roof, replaced the flashing and fixed the chimney. They replaced and removed bad windows. They stuccoed one wall and patched the other.

 + -1 moreThe owner of the company spoke with me over the phone to arrange the estimate. He arrived on time, spent a considerable amount of time discussing my immediate needs as well as my "wish list". My questions were answered completely; I felt completely comfortable with the prospect of working with is company (I was somewhat hesitant given a kitchen renovation nightmare). The owner video-recorded the work that needed to be completed, took pictures, written notes as well as digitally-recorded the specifics of the work. We Care worked incessantly to get my work completed. At the time of installation, a crew of six gentlemen arrived on time, worked throughout the entire two days and consistently completed integrity checks to ensure the quality of their own work. It seems as if they have a "critical friends" system in which work checks are part of the job. They worked throughout my house; they were careful to clean all debris and to not damage my art and other household items. The gentlemen were concerned with my opinion and wanted to ensure I was happy with the finished product. In short, you only get what you pay for ... this company takes PRIDE in their work and in building customer relationships. I highly recommend WE CARE FREE ESTIMATES! A family owned business, they understand that consumer demand is the highest form of accountability. If quality work and peace of mind are important to you, choose this company. You won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: I live in a 90 year old home in NW Philadelphia. We Care removed, re-installed and capped 11 windows. In addition, the company installed an environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient skylight partition cover and did a special air condition window installation.

Description of Work: They came out twice & measured. They discussed what I wanted and the situation with my house which has unusually sized doorways; it s not standard. They recommended certain things, made decisions on what type of doors & color.

 + -1 moreWe Care was excellent. They were prompt, professional, and Jim called every night during the process to see how things were going on our end. He was very proactive and followed-through. If an order for materials was late, they made sure to call us and give an update since they knew we were waiting and wondering. The finished work is wonderful, and we've since had an energy audit and the company raved about the windows and how well sealed they are.
Description of Work: We Care replaced 21 windows (Energy Star, LoE2) in our home. They took out the old ones, re-framed a few that needed it, installed new windows, and installed trim/capping on the outside.

 + -1 moreI felt like there was too much propoganda. You weren't just buying windows, but rather you were buying the whole gimmick and ideas of the company. I didn't need to hear all about what other contractors should be doing. He was very nice but spent way too much time talking about other things than windows.
Description of Work: Big Jim came out to give me an estimate on window replacement. The window estimate was good (higher than others). They did not perform the work.

Our dogs made their job harder too but they were so kind. We were nervous about hiring someone because of all the horror stories we have heard but Jim W. put us at ease and we are so happy to have had the work done.

 + 1 moreWe've used them for so many things. I would love to recommend them for the Page of Happiness. They were unbelievably prompt, courteous, always showing up when they said they would and calling if they were going to be late. Their communication is superior as well as the quality of their workmanship. If we had anything that wasn't quite right all we had to do was make a phone call and they were right there to fix it. I can't recommend them highly enough. This has been the best experience I've ever had with a contractor.
Description of Work: They showed us a selection of security and storm doors to choose from. We chose what we wanted. They ordered and installed them. They did vinyl siding in our back, they poured cement walls and a basement floor as well as re-coated our roof with a new energy efficient coating.
