I would highly recommend Wesly Neves Painting to anyone. I received estimates for exterior siding wood repair and painting from several companies listed on Angie's. Wesley Neves offered me the best price. He started working on my house within 2 weeks as he promised and finished the work on time accounting for weather related delays. The work that his people did on my house include powerwashing of the entire house, replacing all the decayed wood sidings and window frames, and painting the entire exterior of the house. It took them about two weeks to complete the job. Wesley and his workers are hardworking, reliable, and well qualified professionals. I liked them so much that I hired his company again for interior painting which involves some dry wall and ceiling repair. I signed up for Angie's list for the first time to find a reliable painting company. It's probably one of the best decisions I've made. Make sure you get at least 3 to 4 estimates before you hire anyone. I couldn't belive how much the prices varied form company to company. Having said that, I would assure you based on my own experience that Wesley Neves would not disappoint you. Make sure you speak to him before you hire a company for painting work.
Description of Work: Powerwash the sidings, repair and replace decayed woods, and paint the entire exterior.

I contacted Wesley Neves after seeing his company on Angie's List. He came to our home and gave an estimate that was comparable to others we received. We agreed on the work and the timing, which was to be in mid-October. The actual work did not begin until a week later than originally agreed, but I was information of these changes well in advance. Once the work began, the workers arrived on time and at least one person was working every day. Since we had a lot of scraping and prep work required to get our old and not-very-recently-painted window frames ready to paint, I felt this was reasonable and acceptable. Once that work was largely complete, a bigger team arrived and painted the frames. The work was completely promptly, and the number of total hours was in line with the estimate. While Wesley was not on site all the time, the workers who were there were pleasant and answered questions and Wesley was there regularly and reported progress to me regularly. He and his staff did a good job, corrected the few minor issues we found (basically, a few missed spots), and did some tasks not included in are original estimate (caulked a window that wasn't being painted, pressure washed some additional walls of the house). We were happy with the work and would use them again.
Description of Work: Painting of exterior window trim.

Wesley and his crew did a fantastic job on my south Philly rowhome. He was on time when he came out to a**** the house and emailed me a quote the next day. He was able to start on short notice. They painted most of the house, sanded down a half-stripped bannister, patched holes and cracks into invisibility and did an incredible job overall. They arrived early in the morning and worked over the weekend and into the evening each night - I was not living in the house at the time - and did the job in 5 or 6 days. I could not have been happier with the job they did and I would hire Wesley again in a second.
Description of Work: Interior painting of a South Philly rowhouse - living/dining room, hallway, staircase and bannister, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. Ceilings throughout. Holes, cracks, water damaged drywall patched and sanded. Trimwork throughout.

His crew was on time everyday. The job was completed in a timely manner considering the weather. I have a 3 story home and he worked hard to get the work done correctly. He was very pleasant to work with as well.
Description of Work: I had had new windows put in. He touched up within the house and repaired parts of the inside/outside. He painted the inside/outside trim and let me choose the paint color as well. He also painted 2 interior door (old door that required scrapping and burning) that also required a little wood replacing. He also painted 2 pairs of french doors and windows in a sunroom area in/out. He also did a little extras here and there to show his work ethic.

The painting job looks fantastic. The job was posponed because of rain. Wesley always contacted me to ask if I would be alright with the postponement due to weather which of course was fine. Wesley was very responsive to concerns that I had. He answered all of my questions both before and during the job. There were a few places that were not done to my satisfaction. As soon as I communicated this to Wesley he revisited the area and did more work or explained to me why it was good the way it was. Wesley did some extra work not on the contract that I did not expect that really made a nice finish. They painted the front grate and bannister. Also I asked if he would varnish a wooden threshold that needed to be coated with the same varnish that was being used on the front door. This was not on the original contract but he did this for me, which I appreciated. When Wesley and his crew were finished, I asked if he would do a small inside paint job that he had estimated for me at the beginning. He did this and gave me a lower price for this bit of work. I feel that the entire work was completed based on mutual respect. For example, Wesley spoke to me about rain problems. I was fair to him and in turn when I asked for a reasonable extension of the work (like the threshold, he was willing to consider my needs. photos to come
Description of Work: I have a two-story row house that needed exterior painting. Wesley's workers re-painted the bricks. This included removing a shudder and filling in holes where they had been attached to the brick. Priming the brick everywhere that any scraping was needed. Scraping the wood sashes, and caulking, priming , and painting them. Scraped, primed, and painted a high metal cornice at the front of the building. In total 11 windows were treated. 4 windows only needed caulking because they were capped with aluminum. Also a large wooden molding above the rear bay window that was bare wood. Replaced rotting rear window frame was done well and then primed and painted it. Cut metal grates to do a good job of painting windows behind them. Wesley replaced the grates when finished and put on new locks. Varnished wood on the front door. And a threshold that needed the same treatment.

We chose Wesley Neves Painting after five bids. Wesley said that he was licensed and fully insured. He told me later that his license was expired and was being renewed but he never was able to show me his license. He said he was fully insured and gave me his insurance certificate. He said that any damages caused by his employees would be repaired without cost to us. His bid was several thousand dollars higher than individual painters but he had a full-time carpenter/handyman to do larger repairs needed. The work was discussed in detail and he gave us a proposal for $10,952.00. Wesley did not honor his coupon for 7% off and he refused to take the credit cards listed on Angie's list. He took $200.00 off his initial proposal. He asked for half up front and half when the work was completed. He wanted the check made out to him personally but we had already made it out to his company. Our house is Victorian and has original windows and almost all of the window sills were capped with aluminum very precisely and carefully decades ago by skilled craftsmen for protection. The aluminum covers are carefully cut and tightly fitted to cover the original wooden sills completely like a skin and are usually repainted and re-caulked every so often to protect the sill area and to keep water from getting into the bricks below. That is how it was done during the last painting job and how every other painter suggested that it be done again this time. There was obvious "dry rot" in some of the wood in various places and Wesley expected to find more rot and included this in his estimate. Repairing most things was not supposed to be an issue because of the full time carpenter/handyman. The house was to be kept clean with furniture moved and window treatments put back and windows painted shut fixed. Three damaged windows were to be repaired, including one which needed the broken chain and weight system fixed. Wesley had recently finished painting and repairing another house and garage with trim and windows and shutters and many "dormer" windows on the sloped roof. It took four weeks with four workers during the prep, carpentry and priming stage and two painters during the final painting phase. That project went well and Wesley thought our project would take about the same time with the same number of people working. However, Wesley's best and most experienced painter quit before Wesley started my job and he may have also lost other personnel. Our work was delayed by several weeks while Wesley finished another job. The work was started during the second week in October by two "new" guys who said they did not usually work with Wesley. They painted over old uneven paint and we tried to reach Wesley about this but he did not answer. After two days, he came over and said that the work was not acceptable and had to be re-done. He said his usual employees would work for us as soon as they finished another job. He later sent Rodrigo and Andre. They were both nice and hard-working but did not speak English that well. Andre was 19 and had been painting with Wesley less than a year. Wesley rarely showed up unless we called him.At the end of about 5 or 6 days, he said that he was sick and in the hospital and could not be contacted for several days. I was told that Wesley had had a very experienced and excellent painter who had recently quit and possibly other more experienced painters and he used to spend more time "on the job". Wesley now has has several crews with new painters. The work done by Andre and Rodrigo was fine but things went slowly. His painter had to often help his carpenter. Wesley added two other "new" painters after a few days to get the work done more quickly but they got exterior paint on the interior of our window frames and window sills and they damaged our new stucco and Wesley sent them away after one or two days. When Rodrigo took the aluminum cap off one of our window sills. I called Wesley immediately because I did not want the aluminum caps taken off of the sills and had just asked that the wooden "skirts" in front and below the sills be replaced if they were damaged. Wesley said that it was important to take off the capping and that his carpenter would replace all rotted wood with cedar and I would be very happy that this was done, and it was included in his price. When some windows no longer closed correctly, Wesley said that they would sand down the sill or frame--but they never did that. They took off the storm windows frames, which was another thing that the other painters said should not be done. I again called Wesley and he said that it would give better access to the windows. Wesley's crew broke some of the storm windows and some of the storm frames in taking them off and Wesley said they would fix them but they did not. They broke many window panes and replaced all but one but later charged us to do the repairs. All of the storms and regular windows were supposed to be carefully cleaned but were not. The places where exterior paint had gotten onto the interior of the windows and sills was supposed to be repainted and that work was never completed. Wesley tried to charge me for this as well. When his crew started to remove the bolted bar grills, I stopped them and called Wesley because I had been told by all of the other painters that they would paint with the grills in place. Wesley said that they could remove and replace the grills without problems. When they removed them, they damaged the stucco where the bottom of the grills met the stucco. The stucco was also damaged by being hit with ladders and having paint, caulk and "Bondo" dripped on it. It was supposed to be repaired and painted but Wesley later tried to charge me for that also. After ten days, including the work that had to be re-done, Wesley said he had an emergency and was going to Brazil. He asked me to pay his employees while he was gone. We said that the contract was to be paid when the job was completed but he said that he would not do any more work unless we paid more money. We asked for our money back to hire someone else but he would not give it back. He said that the rear would be done in four or five days and the whole job would still be completed and would not go over the original price because the front would be much faster. Wesley said that the back was about 70% of the work. After a week, the work in the back was not done and we paid his employees $2000 more for time and supplies to repair damages that we were not supposed to pay for. We sent Wesley an e-mail and he said that he was still away and could not take care of these issues. We then called Wesley on his cell phone using a friend's cell phone. He answered but hung up when he realized who was calling. When his workers came the next week I asked if the work would be done very soon and they said "yes". A friend of mine called Wesley for an estimate and he said he could be there quickly and even "texted" her again so that he could come as soon as possible. We realized that Wesley was obviously lying about not being in Philadelphia and wondered what was going on. When the work was still not done at the end of the second week, we stopped the work and asked his employees to have Wesley speak to us in person because we knew that Wesley was in Philadelphia and wanted him to honor his contract. Wesley finally called our house on his cell phone but said that he was in Brazil but he would not give us a phone number or address in Brazil. Later the same day, Wesley's employee, Andre, used Wesley's cell phone multiple times to call us from our yard. We have caller ID so we could see that it was the same phone that Wesley was using. Wesley called later that day and said he was not going to honor our contract. He had found more rotted wood under the aluminum capped window sills than he expected and the repairs from damage by his employees were too expensive. He refused to come talk to us in person. We felt totally "scammed" and lied to and put over a barrel because it was now well into November and the weather in the future was questionable. Wesley said he would not do the front of our house at all and that he would not finish the back of the house unless we paid him more money. We paid $700.00 more but the work is not finished, and there is damage to our windows and storm windows. They initially scraped and sanded with the windows open until I complained and Wesley then put up plastic to keep the dust and paint chips from getting into our house, but the plastic ripped. Wesley said that he would have a thorough cleaning done at the end but he did not do it. Nothing was moved back into place and no window treatments were re-hung. Our rear door had a single coat of paint with no primer and it is already peeling. We cannot believe that a person who had as good a reputation as Wesley would not honor his contract or lie about leaving the country. We noticed that the person who was supposed to have work done around the same time as us gave Wesley an "F" and said that the work was sub-standard and he got his money back. Wesley also cursed at us and told us he was sick of our "b*******" for not paying additional money to him for doing repairs to damages caused by his employees on the back of the house. We still have many repairs to be made and the work is not finished. We want to warn people that Wesley Neves lied about leaving the country, did not honor his contract, caused damage that was not repaired, and made decisions that ended up costing him a lot of money and forced us to pay for his mistakes.
Description of Work: Wesley Neves Painting had a contract with us for $10,752.00 for complete painting and carpentry/handyman work in the entryway, front, alleyway and rear of our attached Victorian brick house on windows, storm windows, trim, fascia, gate, grills, wrought iron, rear door, pipes as well as some other work including a new back door to our alleyway. We paid $5250.00 up front and the rest was to be paid upon completion. Carpentry/handyman work was supposed to replace or repair all rotted wood on the fascia, windows, sills, sashes as well as minor repairs to the metal fascia, and some inside work in our entryway and some other things like repairing windows needing wood replacement and a window whose chain had broken. All surfaces, including security bar grills and the exterior frame of the storm windows, were to be painted with the appropriate paint.. Everything was supposed to get one coat of primer and two finish coats. We had estimates from five painters or contractors. The quotes of several painters were thousands of dollars lower but they just performed minor repairs with epoxy and we also needed the help of a carpenter for more major repairs. We chose Wesley Neves because he had a full-time carpenter/handyman/painter. The work was supposed to start by the third week of September but was delayed until the second week of October. Wesley had to finish another job before starting ours. The contract was never completed or honored by Wesley Neves. Wesley told us he had to go to Brazil after ten days of work--including two days of work by two new painters whose work Wesley said was unacceptable and had to be re-done. He was in Philadelphia a week later but claimed that he was still in Brazil. After we paid half of the contract up front, Wesley demanded more money to finish just the back of our house. Much of this was to do repairs for damage his employees had caused. When he said that he had to leave for Brazil, we asked for our money back to hire another painter, but he said that the work in the back was largely completed and would be finished in four or five days and then they would start the front and that the front would not take very long. The work in the back was not finished after another two weeks. As the work in the back dragged out, we called Wesley with a friend's cell phone and he answered but hung up when he realized we were calling him. A friend then contacted him to get her trim painted and he said he could come right over for an estimate. He also sent her a text with his e-mail as a reminder. So we knew he was in Philadelphia and had probably never even gone to Brazil. He lied to us and basically tried to "scam" us. He finally admitted that he would not honor the contract and had not intended to do so because the damages done to our house by his workers had cost a lot to repair and because he had taken off the aluminum caps on our windows against our better judgement and against what all of the other painters and contractors had suggested. Under the aluminum caps, he found a lot of damaged wood that then then needed to be repaired because it was no longer protected by the tightly fitting and perfectly cut aluminum capping. The windows in the rear were painted, the storm windows were painted (but not with paint designed to paint aluminum), the grills were painted and our back door and gate were painted. A new back door was put in. Everything was supposed to have a primer coat and two coats of finish paint but we quickly found out as the paint peeled on the rear door that some things were only painted with one single finish coat and no primer. The paint is not sticking to the back door because it was not primed. We do not know how much of the work was done that way. Rotted fascia board was replaced and painted. Many panes of antique window glass were broken by his employees and it took days of their time to buy new glass repeatedly as more windows were broken and to replace cracked window panes and glaze and re-paint them. They ended up repairing all of the broken glass that we knew about except for one window--which still has a crack. When they removed our storm windows they broke several of them and could not repair them. They also damaged some of the frames for the storm windows. When they removed some of the grills, they damaged our brand new stucco, which was further damaged by being hit with ladders and was covered in dripped paint, caulk and wood epoxy. We asked Wesley to have the stucco repaired by a mason and to report the damage to his insurance company but he said that his employees would repair and repaint it. Many of the windows with replaced sills no longer close fully because the replaced wood is too high or not angled correctly. The windows are leaking and Wesley said that the window bottoms would be sanded down to fit the sill better. But that work was never done. Some of the places where exterior paint got onto our interior windows and sills were repainted and some were not and still need to be repainted. Wesley said that all of our windows would be repaired completely and made to open and close but that was not done. Some windows still need to be filled in with epoxy at the bottom corners. The one with the broken chain was never repaired. The rear screen/ "storm" door was completely removed to paint the rear wood door and now the rear storm door no longer closes correctly. The two employees who worked here most of the time were very nice and worked hard but they were alone and Wesley was not here to supervise. The work went slowly and they did a lot of things that we did not expect or want them to do and they had to spend a lot of time repairing damage to our house. The damage to our house occurred largely during the first ten days of work and Wesley was aware of it but he was not present at our job almost at all and had several other jobs going on at the same time and was out giving estimates. Wesley told his employees to remove all our security grills, the storm windows and frames, and the aluminum capping on the window sills. No other painter or contractor was going to do any of that at all. In fact, all of the painters experienced with old houses said that window sills like ours had been capped by professional craftsmen several decades ago and the aluminum caps should never be removed unless the caps were damaged--and ours were not damaged. They all said that the caps were in excellent condition and essentially created a window sill and an impermeable barrier to water. They just needed to be scraped and painted with special paint made for aluminum and caulked completely. All of the other painters and contractors also said that they would never remove a storm window frame unless the wood to which it was attached needed to be replaced. They also said that they would never remove the grills because it might damage our bricks or the grills might not be able to be secured again. They would paint through the bars of the grills. What Wesley's employees did took us by surprise and took an incredible amount of extra time. As soon as we saw them take off the first grill, or the first aluminum cap or the first storm window frame, we questioned them about it and immediately called and e-mailed Wesley because we did not know it these were wise choices and wondered how our window sills would be protected without the aluminum caps. Wesley said that they knew how to fix and replace everything and that this was included in the estimate and that we would be happier because he would replace all rotted wood easier and have easier access to our regular windows. We were worried about the wisdom of all of this and about how they would re-secure the security grills and about damage to the storm windows and about the wisdom of removing the aluminum caps that had been there for decades and had been painted and caulked during the last paint job. All of these decisions on Wesley's part caused damage and then it ended up taking a lot of time to repair the damage and Wesley made up a story about going to Brazil to find a way of getting out of his contract with us. We are furious about it.

We did work above and beyond what was in the contract. We fix foundation work that was not on contract. We took the time to remove sill flashing to repair sill itself (she actually told me" i did not have to do it", after I was done. but I did because it was rotten.) that was not in the contract. Mind you, she has twenty seven windows (80% seven feet tall) and we had to replace window pane's she accused us of breaking all of them. I wish I can sit here and write all the things we did for this woman, but I cant because it angers me for the way she treating us. So please if you can, stop by the job site and see for yourself the work I have done. I have been there working for so long, the woman was very nice to us and all of a sudden this is what we get for all that hard work. Yes she did give us payments, but what was done was more than what she and i originally agreed on....I trusted her and did eveything she wanted...assuming she was gonna reimbursed for the time...but that is not the case. I I wish there is a site to rate customers because she would be on top of the list for people to NOT work for.

On September 15, 2011, Wesley Neves gave me an estimate of $2,000 to paint the exterior trim on our house, and told me that he would start the job on October 3. He ended up starting on Wednesday, October 5, because we had a couple of rainy days early that week, and I assume that he was running late on some other jobs. On the first day of the project, which was Wednesday (10/5/11), Wesley Neves failed to show up at the appointed hour, while I sat there, missing time from work, waiting for him. Eventually, I could wait no longer and left for work. Someone working for Wesley showed up later that day, and started doing some preliminary work. Wesley himself showed up at the end of the day, and collected a check for 1/2 of the total estimate ($1,000, subsequently refunded). Wesley also assured me that the project would be completed by Friday, or Saturday at the latest. The next day after receiving my deposit, which was a beautiful, sunny Thursday, no one showed up to work on the project. The following day, Friday, one employee came, worked a few hours, and did a really poor job. The following day, Saturday, again there was no word from either Wesley or anyone working for him. I called Wesley to find out what had happened to him. Wesley told me that they could not work the last 3 days because it was wet. (In fact, we had had unseasonably warm, sunny weather, with not one drop of rain.) When I expressed unhappiness about the failure to make satisfactory progress on the job, and the fact that the little bit of work that had been done was of low quality, Wesley took offense, showed up at my house, and returned my deposit to me, leaving me with an undone job, and the loss of a month of time, as we gradually run out of acceptable weather for outdoor painting.
Description of Work: The project was to paint all exterior trim on my house. An employee of Wesley Neves started the project, but never finished, as described below.

I always give a chance for the customer to say what they have issues with, now, you can read my side of the story. The job estimate is for $2000.00 (four days worth of work) I was to scrape, power wash and prime. My helper started on wednesday scraping and the powerwash. The owner saw the prep process and did not have issues. I told him to wait a day before we can proceed with painting because the wood was wet and soaked and need to dry. (no work thursday)So we did go back to work friday morning. My helper and i met at paint store early in morning to buy materials and then headed to his property. Its about an hour ride. He primed all the areas needed to be primed and then he started to paint the front of house and did that work until about 4pm. My helper reported to me that evening that things went well, so I assume were gonna meet up monday to continue the job. Saturday morning around 830am I got a message from the customer wondering why we were not there saturday! He proceeded to say nasty words, accusing me of stealing his money, and threatened to call police because he wanted his money back. Remember that this message was on saturday morning!!! He did not even try to talk to me first and explain why he was mad, he outright just left nasty message. I was very troubled and upset to get the message...I immediately called my helper why the customer was so mad...he could not tell me anything. I try to call the customer back, right away but he did not answer...so I immediately drop what I was doing, (had to cancel trip to mall with my wife and son) and went to the job site. When I saw him, the only words that came out of him mouth was "can I get my check back?" did not even explain to me why he was so mad. I gave him cash and he gave me receipt for the money returned. I gave the man his money back because I felt very bad. Now looking back, I was just set up to do something for free. I took a big loss to pay my helper, the materials used and time spent to go there and do estimate. It bothers me that he gave my price a C but still took me in to do the job. Now he has two days worth of work done for free. You be the judge. After all the time spent, I dont have a penny from him.

Wesley was right on time for the estimate and provided me an email contract within a couple days. He planned on using great paint (Benjamin Moore) and his price was very good. Based on Angie's List reviews, I went ahead. I was not disappointed. He did an amazing job. We had the ceilings painted flat white, the trim/moldings painted a semi-gloss white, and the walls got 2 coats of eggshell in 5 different colors. The detail and quality Wesley provided was meticulous. The place looks gorgeous.
Description of Work: Painted interior of 2200sqft townhome. Ceilings, trim and walls.

I found Wesley Neves through Angie's List and received a follow up email from him. I got three quotes, all of which were in the same price range, and I went with him because he seemed concerned about doing everything to our satisfaction. He was also willing to replace rotted wood. One of our big concerns was lead paint remediation, and he is certified in dealing with lead paint issues. He gave me referral names, both of whom gave him good a good reference. Wesley is a very good listener, and I felt confident in the progress he was making. He said that the project would take 3 1/2 weeks, which it did if you don't count the excessive heat days. During the time that he was working on our house, he also painted part our neighbor's house. He has a crew of about 4 guys, and during the prep everyone was working on the house. During the painting phase, there were generally 2-3 people working at one time. He had a really good person working with him named Joao, who we appreciated very much. Paint samples can often not be as you'd expect. Wesley was willing to paint several windows with different color combinations so that we could be satisfied with the outcome. Wesley's crew was very organized and efficient. And at the end of the project, they were thorough about cleaning the windows, and making sure that windows were operational. When we found some windows that had been painted shut, he addressed this before leaving the last day.
Description of Work: Prepping, replacing rotted wood, and painting 1928 house exterior and garage. Paint used was Sherwin Williams Duration, 2 coats on top of primer. Work took place between 8 am and 6 pm five or six days a week from July 5-August 5, with clean up occurring each day. Much of the work required 40 foot ladders.

the project went very well from estimate to completion.
Description of Work: Wesley (WNP) painted all of the trim of our craftsman two story house and separate two story garage. They scraped, sanded, power washed, primed and applied two coats of paint. They did a professional job and the result showed it. Wesley is a pleasure to work with,. He could not have been more helpful or professional. He and his painters were always on time and worked long hours straight through to the end of the job. As a result they were able to finish the job much quicker than I had expected. Wesley offered helpful suggestions on the paining that contributed to the excellent outcome of the project. We are very pleased with the entire experience. .

From the very beginning, Wesley was prompt and professional. After finding his listing on Angie's List, I sent him an email and received a phone call about an hour after. We set up an appointment later that week to look at the job. We weren't sure if we wanted to remove the wall paper prior to painting or not, so when he emailed me with the estimate, a couple days later, it included an estimate with and without wall paper removal. The estimate was very professional and detailed as to what was included in the price. After we agreed on the price, we set a start date and an ending date, which was right on. Wesley called the day before to confirm he would be coming at 9:15 the next morning. Every day that Wesley and his crew were here, they went at the job whole-heartedly. They were very diligent with covering furniture and floors. When they were finished for the day, they cleaned up and moved all furniture back in place as if they were never there. At one point, when I was selecting the paint color, I wasn't sure what color to go with and he went to the paint store to pick up several samples for us to try on different walls. I've had my share of bad experiences with contractors and this was not one of them. In fact, this goes down as one of the best experiences my husband and I have had with a contractor. Wesley produced top quality work and I would HIGHLY recommend him to my family and friends. Thanks Wesley, Gerome, Andre and Rodrigo!!!
Description of Work: Removed 2 layers of wall paper, spackled/skim coated cracks and holes, sanded, taped, primed and painted living room, 1 bedroom, stairway and hallway walls and ceiling.

Wesley prepared a e-mail contract that addressed all of my concerns. They started the job a day after expected because of rain and worked like no one I have ever seen. Their days were long and they finished one day earlier than promised. This has to be the best contractor experience that I have ever had. Delightful people to deal with doing more than what I expected. I have been in my home for 20 years and this is the fourth paint job and without a doubt the very best. Even my dog liked the guys (and he is very picky)!
Description of Work: Company painted entire exterior of my home and additional detatched garage. They also repaired damaged wood and re-installed a damaged shutter. Among other things they cauked and sanded major sections of my home that here-to-for no one bothered with.

We got the estimate from Wesley last fall, but the weather turned too cold to start the work, so we planned for him to do the painting first thing in the spring. He and his crew did a wonderful job, and were careful about cleaning up everything afterward. The house looks great.
Description of Work: The entire house was power-washed on the first day. We had some rotting wood on a few window sills, a door frame, and a couple of spots under the gutters. Those areas were repaired with either new wood or PVC material, then primed and painted. All the wood trim, the 34 shutters, and front and back doors were sanded and primed where necessary, then painted.

I did not use him. He was very professional and he followed up with me. He came when he said he would come. He was very personable and seemed to know what he was doing. I ultimately delayed doing the work.

I would highly recommend Wesley Neves for exterior painting. He was always prompt with reponses. His crew was clean and courteous and put everything away at the end of each day. They asked questions prior to doing something to ensure things were being done right. We are very satisfied with the work!

WNP sanded all wood surfaces to the grain and applied new primer and paint. They cleaned up their work area in the yard at the end of each day. They did a great job and I would definitely contact Wesley again for any future painting.
Description of Work: WNP painted all of the exterior wood on our stone home. That included exterior doors & frames, window trim and shutters and a covered patio ceiling. The existing paint layers on over 30 shutters were cracking and pealing.

Overall the experience was great and I would use them again.
Description of Work: Removed all wallpaper and replastered the walls in very large dining room and living room. Smoothed all walls and ceilings, stripped lead paint on banisters and trim work. Primed and painted all walls. Very large job for a fraction of the cost. Even got all my windows working properly again.

Wesley Neves arrived on time and I showed him what needed to be painted, which was everything (ceilings, walls and trim in every room.) Mr. Neves sent me an estimate a few days later, but it was much higher than the the other three estimates I was given. This was disappointing to me, because I was impressed with his professionalism and courtesy.

Wesley is courteous, responsible and hard-working. Communication is excellent: he is available and responsive by phone, text and email. If he says he will call, he does. If he says he will be there, he will. If he can't come as scheduled, you can count on being notified. His price was very competitive, especially with moving furniture and other items included. The job went very well. The house, deck and fence were washed the first day. There was a LOT of stuff on the deck that we had not removed in time, but the workman carefully moved everything out of the way.The next day the deck was prepped the old-fashioned way: scraped and sanded by hand, which was a big job as it was long overdue. Wesley was very careful and patient about color choice. He will make as many trips and bring as many samples (real paint, not those little cards) as necessary until you have it right. The deck was gorgeous when finished. Drop cloths were used carefully, and the work was done neatly and with care. The job as originally agreed was excellent. It became clear, though, that the fence had to be painted too. Wesley graciously accommodated us, but it was a stretch for him because was very busy. We agreed on the price and he bought the paint. He estimated one coat would do, but when that was done I asked him to look it over. We agreed a second coat was necessary and he did not charge for the additional paint. However, the added- on work was not done as carefully as the original job. I had to point out a lot of touching up, and Wesley made sure it was done. The only real problem was that the painter (using a sprayer) got a fair amount of paint on the grass along the fence (drop cloth ? not sure, I was not home). and most of a small rhododendron, and some other plants appeared to have been accidentally sprayed. That said, I highly recommend Wesley Neves. He is responsive, and accountable. He is very fair, and his price was excellent. The quality of the work was excellent too, though if you find there is more to be done, it might be worth scheduling it as a separate job.
Description of Work: Whole house, deck and interior side of wood fence power-washed. Entire wood deck (floor, railings, walls, lattice work, steps, etc) painted: oil primer plus 2 coats latex (Sherwin Williams). Price *included* moving outdoor furniture and various other items off the deck, or out of the way if in the yard. Additional work was requested and done. Over all, excellent work.

The cost was more than reasonable, and their attitude was always to please me and do the best job possible. Wesley used only oil based paint, so the job would last, and there was obvious pride in the finished product. If every contractor did thorough and excellent work like Wesley's men, there would be no need for Angie?s List.
Description of Work: Wesley Neves and his men expertly painted the front of my house after scraping down to metal, sanded my porch down to bare wood and coated it with special paint, expertly rebuilt the rotted capitals on a large column, repaired and rebuilt a doorway, and cleaned up thoroughly each day.

Wesley and his crew did an excellent job. They scraped, sanded, patched primed and painted the entire house. They were professional and worked very hard. The end result looks great! the wood siding is smooth. They did a good job cleaning up every day too.
Description of Work: Exterior painting of 3 story Victorian home with various types of wood siding and 3 different colors. Last time the home was painted former owner had not scraped well so paint was peeling and in many areas was uneven from not being scraped previously.

Wesley and his helpers were prompt, professional, polite and made me feel that they knew exactly what we needed. They were willing to work very long hours and we a pleasure to have working around the house. I have recommended them to our realtor, and hope we will be able to use him again when our new house need painting. I feel as if I've met a new wonderful resource for paint, carpentry and house cleaning. Couldn't ask for more.
Description of Work: Wesley bid a job to paint the exterior wood work of our large colonial style brick house. He did that and more. He replaced broken glass in windows, helped us with window cleaning, plaster and painting and some carpentry as well. He made our house shine!
