Contacted Goffredo in the beginning of December about renovating a bathroom. Eric came out as scheduled in the beginning of the week. He said he would get back to me by the weekend. He said he could have the bathroom done by Jan 1 as the tenant was moving in. When I didn't hear from him by Monday, I called - and called. Finally he called me back the next Friday and said he would get back to me by the following Monday. I didn't hear from him and called again. I was told he would call me back. I never heard anything. I lost valuable time and had to start from scratch with someone else. This was after waiting 3 weeks. Horrible experience.

Extremely professional, prompt and thorough. I have already recommended Goffredo to a neighbor who had a similar experience.

I've used Goffredo Plumbing for the past ten years. They are always prompt, friendly, do excellent work, and are reasonably priced.

Got a call from tenant that the "U" shape trapping pipe is leaking under the kitchen sink. Searched Angies' list and found VINCENT GOFFREDO PLUMBING & HEATING with highest rating (not surprising). Since it is tenant occupied property, I exchanged several phone calls with Eric and the tenant. Long story short Eric sent a plumber out, but my tenant was not at home. I really felt sorry for having Eric's man running around, but he was very patient and professional and scheduled another visit the next day (right before Christmas) and the problem was fixed. I am looking forward to establishing long term working relationship with this company. Keep up the great work!

It went very well. They came quickly, worked fast and fixed the problem. They were very professional and I would not hesitate to call them again. I got a 10% Angie's List 1st job discount too! They mail the bill, in duplicate, with an envelope.

The guy who came out was really nice, professional and seemed to know what he was doing. It was kind of vague when it came to actually quoting me the price. His price was kind of high and there was like a $500 variable. I would consider getting another quote from them in the future.

The lead plumber, Eric, returned my call promptly and fit our family into his team's work schedule withing one business day. When his team arrived to our home, they were prompt, professional, explained their work and were courteous, clean, and thorough.

I needed to have to main sewer pipe in the basement replaced, it had several rust spots. I had Eric come and look at it, he gave me an estimate that was good so I schedule the work. The guys arrived on time and started to work. They had to leave to go get what they needed but were back quickly. I had been told it would take 4-5 hours, they were done in about 3 1/2. I had gone to work and when I came home they had cleaned up and it looked great. Because Eric had forgotten to give me my Angies List discount the first time they came (for a different job), he gave it to me for this job, and it was a much bigger discount! I will hire again, no doubt about it!

Erik was awesome. So professional and he knew his stuff. He took the time to explain all the different plumbing connections as well as the quality of the work and some improvements I can plan to make in the future. He really helped put my mind at ease about the house. He also freely gave me contacts for other work. If I have any plumbing issues in the future, this company will definitely be my first call.

They were great. They did the work. They were timely. It was a reusable price. We weren't going to replace the water heater. They showed us why we should and it made sense. We were glad that we decided to do it at that time.

The plumbers arrived on schedule and got to work. They asked me what needed to be done, followed my instructions and did an excellent job. They cleaned up nicely. I would hire them again in a second!

Our toilet in our third floor master bathroom was leaking and came though our second floor ceiling! I called Erick and he was able to come out the next day! He was very professional and very friendly and pinpointed the problem right away! He also let us know that the damage could be covered through our insurance, which was a huge help! The guy who came out to do the repair was Danny, he was very friendly and also very knowledgeable. He was finished the job in about 30 minutes! Overall, this company was awesome!! If you are looking for great plumbers, this is the company to call!

Eric was very professional, talked straight about the job, and everything was done very well and in a timely fashion just as he promised. Excellent job. And a big relief for me.

I noticed I had a slow leak under my kitchen sink. It leaked through to my basement ceiling so I turned off the water to my sink and the leaking stopped. I searched Angie's list and liked what I read about this company so I called them. They had people on vacation so it took 2 days before they could come out. The young man who came was right on time, even a little early. He checked everything out and told me that he couldn't find anything wrong other then tightening up everything. Everything seems to be fine now. I will have them come out to do an estimate on replacement pipes in my basement. I had every confidence in the technician. He was pleasant, polite, knew what he was doing and didn't try to sell me on a major repair.

Great! They were very nice and right on time. Their work was quick and clean. I did have a very small leak under the kitchen sink and in the laundry room when they were finished but they came out right away to fix it. It's been a month and things work perfectly. Would absolutely use them again.

I was impressed how honest they were in telling me that we didn't have the problems we thought we did. When they didn't find the leaks we thought we had, they were clear that there wasn't any work to be done.

I first called because the drain pipe under our kitchen sink had a crack in it, and since one end was welded to the main drain pipe, I didn't want to try to tackle it myself. I called on a Sunday and was told they would call me on Monday morning to schedule an appointment, which they did. They were able to come out that afternoon and do the job, which was very convenient. I did notice a slow leak the next day, but I don't blame them for not seeing it when they were done (they did test it) because it was so slow and minor. They gave me no problem coming back out the next time I was home and able to meet them and fix it (just turned out to need tightening). At that time I had them look at an exterior PVC pipe I had a contractor put in the previous summer, which had cracked over the winter (see above). Since that contractor was a landscaper, I wanted a real plumber to do the repair, and asked them to replace the PVC with copper, and also install an extra faucet and handle. They said it would be no problem. The only minor complaint I will say is that I did need to call a couple times to get someone to finally call me back and set up an appointment to do that job. Basically when you need an appointment, you call and leave a message with someone, and eventually someone calls you back to schedule it. But every time except this one instance I got a call back that day, when I was told I would, so I didn't knock off any points for this exception. I know they can get busy and just not have time to deal with everything right away sometimes. I'll say here the other thing to be aware of is they don't do work on weekends or after 5 pm unless it's an emergency. Sort of tough for those of us who work every day during the week, but I guess it's understandable. They were able to do the exterior pipe work while I was at work, but unfortunately it did have a small leak due to some soder not setting correctly. Again, I couldn't blame them because I wasn't home to turn on the water supply so they could test it. And again, they had no problem coming back to fix it when I had time to be there to actually turn on the water to test it (they of course did not charge me for either time they had to come back to fix their previous work). Overall I had a very good experience with this company and would definitely use them again. They were friendly and courteous, and answered any questions I had. Plus, their prices were what they quoted me before they did both jobs, and were reasonable. They also have a coupon on Angie's List. Definitely a company I would recommend!

Initially we called Vincent Goffredo to replace the gas line valve at the recommendation of Sears, who were scheduled to install the range. After some phone tag, Eric scheduled the work for the Saturday morning right before the delivery (outside normal business hours!). The plumber who came to our house (I'm sorry, I can't remember his name!) was thorough and cheerful despite doing the job on his day off. Unfortunately, the existing gas line turned out to be in the wrong place for the range and Seers could not install it (not Goffredo's fault at all, and actually something the plumber had mentioned might be a possibility), so we had them come back out to move the line and install the range. Again, the plumber was prompt, cheerful and informative. He discovered that our gas line was VERY old and had multiple problems, necessitating several trips to the office and a nearby hardware store for replacement parts, which was done quickly and without complaint. The plumber explained every step and apologized for the delays. He then installed the range, working hard to make sure it fit in the space properly (not an easy feat in our 1910 kitchen) and showed me how to use it. He was also extremely neat and tidy on a snowy day, even offering to wash my floor! Overall, an excellent experience. Goffredo does high-quality work in which I have the utmost confidence. The one weakness of their business is the answering service they use -- it caused some delays in communication (and, in stark contrast to Eric and his employees, the answering people can be somewhat unpleasant), though Eric bent over backwards to correct for this issue.

What a wonderful experience if one can say that about a plumbing experience! I called Goffredo Plumbing early Monday, March 29, as I was distressed when I saw water on the cellar floor where there had never been. Eric called me back promptly as soon as my message was given to him. He explained to me that the water may be due to the extremely heavy snows that we have had and the onset of heavy spring rains that may have overwhelmed the backyard drain. If they were unable to fix it, that he would probably have to install a sump (spelling) pump to take the stress off the drain and have the water empty into the sewer line. In order to be certain that the water was coming from the back, he ask me to call him again the next day to confirm, which I did. When I told him again that there was water all over the back of the cellar, he said that he would send Dan out to inspect (as I had no concept of what constituted a major problem down there.) within 15 to 20 minutes. Dan came and from his inspection told me that there was a pinhole puncture in the water pipe. He asked if I wanted it repaired right then and there. Naturally, I said: Yes. Dan did the repair in under an hour. What I like about Goffredo Plumbing is that they are always courteous, pleasant, and most importantly on time. Once they determine the problem, they tell you whether the work can be done right away or if it may involve a more complicated procedure. I am glad that they sent the same technician to do the work because it establishes a rapport with me, the customer, that makes a comfortable working condition for both me and the technician. Dan is most respectful, easy going, and an all around nice guy. If I need to call Goffredo again, I will request that Dan come out to help me.

Eric kept in touch with me and told me what to do until he could get there. Very professional and polite and I would recommend him highly!

My experience with them was very good. They gave prompt service. I called them. They called me back the same day. They came out with the estimate the next day and did the work the following day. They left my basement cleaner than it has ever been. The price was fair. It cost me $1735. I have not had enough plumbing work done so I don?t really know but I think it was expensive. When I break it down by the hour; there were 2 people and they worked for probably less than 8 hours. They were here by 9 in the morning and left by around 4. The labour was $1400. That is a lot of money. When we go by person, I think it is a little bit cheap.

We never submitted a report when work was done (it's 11/2009 now), but in reading reports while searching for other work to be done, i realized i should report on good experience with Gofreddo. It was little more expensive than i expected but i had never had extensive work done before and had nothing to compare to. They were always on time, very professional, and always fully cleaned up after finishing. Eric has also been out to house a number of times to give advice on work that i will be doing myself. Very openly told me what i could probably do myself and what i should have them do. We will use them for all plumbing needs in our West Philly house. Only concern was that i never asked for the quote ahead of time and it was never offered before work was finished. Of course, in their defense, my demeaner was that i was going to have them do the work no matter what as they were highly recommended. It was just a bit of a shock but, as stated earlier, i had nothing to compare to. Will be having them quote on more work next spring.

They have been in Philadelphia for years and they do a great job. I have an old house with a steam heat system that uses a boiler and they were able to give it a new life. Not a lot of plumbers do steam heat but Goffredo does. The pricing is very high but you don?t have to worry with them; the owner and staff are all good guys. They clean up after themselves and if they see something in the area that needs fixed, they go ahead and do it without charging. They have an answering service but they usually call back within the hour.

Everything went well, things turned out better then they expected. The work caused less damage then was initially estimated and now everything works fine. Price seemed a bit high. They were at my house for 3 hours (they left for 1 hour for lunch) and I was charged for 4 hours (expensive lunch for me)
