I have Verizon Fios. I got a deal. They're all difficult to get a hold of. I am currently using them. It costs $137 a month which is part of the special deal. They could not price their packages, I am not a sports person, but in order to get one or two channels that I like I have to buy a package, which I pay 5 something a month to have this sports thing that I never use. They put these bundles together that don't make any sense for a lot of their customers and you pay for things you don't watch. Sometimes very difficult to get through to somebody. Sometimes you get people when you have a problem that don't know what they are doing.
Description of Work: They are my internet, cable TV and land line phone service provider.

It's sometimes difficult to contact the company if issues stray outside the parameters of the automated online service protocols. Chat services are generally effective and my upgrades were eventually installed

I have had fios service for 3 years now and absolutely love it. I get 75MBps internet service deb and up, never a hiccup, no data cap. It's phenomenal. TV service is excellent as well...DVR had a decent interface. Can share recordings across all rooms with Quantun TV. Record 4 shows at once. Love it.

Description of Work: Verizon is just my Internet Service Provider. The service has been fine, but I miss the days when a connection was reasonably priced. | |FIOS is great, but they rip out the copper lines and you can't go back. Battery backup becomes your responsibility instead of provided by the Central Office, and the batter dies at least every 12 months. This great new infrastructure all costs a pretty penny, there's no inexpensive alternative, and all plan pricing hikes after the first 6/12/18/24 months.

Contracted service with verizon two years ago and had some issues initially but service was acceptable. Once the contracted period ended the quality of the service ended. For the past year I've had to call and resolve issues with my service. Trying to contact their technicians is frustrating considering all they've been trained to do is ask you to unplug the router and reset the service, which never works anyway. Obviously " technician " is not the applicable word here. Service is terrible, technical abilities are very limited, and the cost is outrageous. I'm personally very disgusted with their service and all the bull crisp they force you to take. I'm looking for new service that I can feel more confident with.

I was promised that they provided all the same service that Comcast had. My first day I lost service right after he installer left. I lost service for 2 days no phone internet or TV. It was a Saturday I had to wait until Monday for a repair person. Trying to call through is horrible I lost service again a few weeks ago takes at least an hour to get someone on the phone. I signed a contract with them although I think there are more shows available on demand I will switch back to comcast only because timid easier to reach someone. If you have a problem and you can switch out the equipment at a local location

The service representative showed up on time and answered all our questions. After everything was set up and working, he gave us his cell # to call if anything goes wrong or if we had any more questions. I couldn't believe the outstanding customer service and professionalism display. So much better than Comcast.

All features work as advertised. I like the channel selection on the package that I have. The voice works well and I definitely use the voice mail and other features (although someday I want to do away with my "land line"). The 75/35 Internet tests out at advertised or better speed. Once you navigate customer service on the phone (including wait times that can be long) I have found the representatives to be helpful and able to resolve most issues in one call. The online agent option works well also. The price is in line with other options but still seems a bit high to me. When we had the initial installation done several years ago, the technician was prompt and completed the job quickly. Also, in several years of service I have had only one service outage that was attributable to Verizon.
Description of Work: I am currently on a Triple Play package where I get Digital Voice unlimited, Extreme HD TV, and 75/35 Internet service.

I do not much like the Fios service. The on-screen menu is hard to use and they are a difficult company to deal with. When I've needed assistance with my internet services they have been slow to respond.
Description of Work: I switched from Comcast to Fios. They did the initial work in a timely fashion and did a good job.

Description of Work: I had Verizon FIOS at my home in Fairfax County, Virginia. The service was sold on the promise that the fiber-optic cable could carry an enormous amount of material very quickly. Trouble is, Netflix is using so much bandwidth that Verizon is limiting its access to the Verizon network, so you get constant buffering while trying to watch something on Netflix. High-definition programs (and some are available only in high-def) are almost unwatchable. So the fancy fiber-optic cable isn't doing much good. I see from the neighborhood Facebook page that this is a very common problem. We have moved to New Jersey and FIOS is not available in our area. We are getting Comcast instead, and I can only hope that Comcast is not at war with Netflix like Verizon is.

I absolutely love Verizon Fios. I have been with them since 2005. Everything is faster and I unlimited everything. I am sure that the price is comparable to everybody else. I was having problems on Christmas Day and they came out the next day and changed the box out and I have not had a problem since. Their service and their response has been great. I will continue to use them.

I would highly recommend them. I love the Fios system, if your a Fios customer and your line is down, Fios customers get taken care of first. I really like them, they know what they're doing.
