Description of Work: They were great. Professional thorough and careful. Mike explained as he went and took the time to answer my questions. It never sounded like he was answering the question for the thousandth time, though I am sure he was since he had clearly done this before. He cared and knew his stuff.

Description of Work: As a company they are very flexible. Ted was on time and very professional. As a contractor I know what to look for and Ted did not miss a thing, he even picked up a few points that I would have missed. I will recommend Vanguard to my friends.

Description of Work: Our inspector, Mike Kelley, arrived promptly and was ready to begin our inspection on time. We began with a thorough inspection of the exterior, then of the interior. He answered all of my questions as we walked through the property and pointed out places where there were minor and/or major concerns. I felt that he was extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable, and I would definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: ValueGuard provided a home inspection. Mike thoroughly went through the outside and inside of the house. His report confirmed suspicions, but pointed to a disturbing issue. --- We decided to not proceed with the home purchase, due to the inspection report. --- Will use again, as we have already found a home, in need of repair. Will use ValueGuard's report to give to contractor as a guide. :)

Description of Work: We needed a home inspection for our first home purchase. I found ValueGuard on Angie's after searching on Google and asking around proved fruitless. After reading the reviews and looking through their website, we booked them for about a week later. We could not be happier with this decision. From the onset, they scheduled the inspector around our schedule, even moving their most experienced inspector's time off to accommodate our need. Mike was fantastic. He was very detail oriented, and he made sure to look at every nook and cranny of the house. He also took the time to explain everything to us, which as novice home buyers we VERY much appreciated. My very knowledgable father came along for the inspection as well, and Mike welcomed and encouraged all questions and concerns he had. He took lots of time to point out where all the service shutoffs were, as well as informing us on how to maintain the HVAC, etc., all very helpful and comforting information for us. The inspection took about 3.5 hours, and we were very satisfied with the whole process. We received the full report via email less than 48 hours later, and it was just as detailed, easy to understand, professional, and thorough as the inspection itself. We received a discount for mentioning Angie's List without any trouble. We would recommend ValueGuard and especially Mike to anyone without hesitation, and we will certainly use their services again in the future if needed.
